The oil reserves are there to prevent a disruption in our supply. High prices are not a disruption. That oil is there in case we are in a war and supplies are cut off...the strategic reserve would allow us to continue to have fuel for fighter jets and naval ships and transport trucks etc etc. I did not agree when Bush 41 did it and hope GWB does not do it.


Exactly gr8tefulcpa....the Strategic Oil Reserve is for war or something of a similar nature.
I agree it would be a mistake to touch it.
