I'm currently in no meds land... I'm 31, a nurse, just got ins. I'm currently on Lunesta which works not at all, but DR is climbing up the treatment ladder thinking a "good nights sleep" may help ease the pain. I'm using a cane when no one is around, as I cannot use one at work for obvious reasons.
I'm in pain 24-7. Migraines, neck and back pain, constant daily HA's, Chiari Malformation and related pain, spinal problems, nerve damage and pinched nerves, TMJ, etc. Seems like not much IS working right on me. Congenital defects coupled with a major car wreck and years of bartending my way through school no doubt have killed me.
Of course I'm in TN, "no ship to me"
I'm out of options, and spend almost all of my days literally in bed. I'm currently on a leave of absence from work, so money is tight to say the least. What the heck do I do? Where can I turn to for pain relief?

Ouch, think we have all been there. I've nearly tried the "Dr. House" method of inflicting other pain on the body to stimulate Endorphins and get natural pain relief. (not recommended A more acceptable method for endorphin release is some sort of exercise for over 20 minutes if at all possible. This sucks I know, but you will get through it. What about seeing a doc? Do u have any co-worker docs or P.A.'s u can trust? Otherwise can maybe try the ER, and hopefully get a sympathetic doctor.

Hello PrivateR,
I commented on some length re biotran.co.uk in the "Who offers it" thread above, also in Biotran thread in the International thread.
Very briefly, send them them the money (cash) with their order form, and you will likely receive what you need (codeine products, please see my above comments) in some 2 - 4 weeks (seems to be longer now, but I am 6 / 6 with them receiving in approx. 2 weeks).
I am a very lucky guy at 50 + yrs old. I hope that those of you who suffer can get relief even with our US Govt. restraints on helping those in pain or suffering.
DB rocks! I am now well stocked up on fairly hard to find meds should "something happen". Often, something happens. Plan ahead my friends! Just wish I could get DHC (or HYDRO!) and Xanax as easily as in the past. Re X, look at my posts before re other countries (Italy and S. America) if you are lucky enough to travel.
Best of luck, PM me for the little else knowledge I can offer.

Anne,
What are you wanting to do...find a better Dr. or just find meds or maybe apply for disability? If you prefer to work, I'd probably ask my Dr. for a referral to a pain clinic, so you can get better pain relief. Seems like your insurance should pay for most everything.
I'm a nurse practitioner returning to school in Jan for my degree in Midwifery, so there is no way I can let go of my work. At 31, I refuse to go on disability. I'm not wanting alot of my pain issues known at work, which is why I do not go to co-workers. that can really be frowned on as well.
I do have a Dr, but I just started seeing him a month ago, so I am jumping through hoops at the moment. He is getting me into a Neuro, a repeat MRI, possibly surgery, and hopefully at the end of it, pain management, who knows.
