If you don't want to send in records and do all that, and you just want to order something quick, I think some kind of codeine combination works the best. I agree that Ultram isn't very effective for pain but unlike most people, I can actually get a buzz from it. The small amounts of codeine they put in most pills won't get you high or anything, but I find it works well for pain.

I guess either Morphine or Oxycontin.
I've never seen Demerol or Dilaudid or Methaodone on any IOP site.
The prices however will cause you to have to pawn your first born. Crazy high prices. But I know Oxycontin (brand at least) is very expensive if purchased with a prescription, so I'm not sure if the prices are just super jacked up or just semi-jacked up.

Yes, I have alot of documentation. As a matter of fact, when he got my MRI's back, he prescribed it to me, and I had never even heard of Duragesic, for all I knew, it was as powerful as advil, needless to say, I found out otherwise. But, I have been inpatient in the hospital twice in the past two months, and all the doctors freaked out that I was being prescribed that. (and I seen alot of different doctors) So, I have no idea how to find a doctor that understands my horrid pain. Doctors here in WV pre-judge you, and I am only 37 years old. I don't even know where to start. I have an aggressive degenerative disc disease in my back, I stayed in an abusive relationship for 10 yrs. and have had my back twisted and beat all to hell, I was in a really bad car accident, I have a balance disorder that makes me fall all the time, I have osteoarthritis, that just some of it. But I literally have to crawl out of bed to the couch to take my medicine before I can do anything. I have to get up an hour early for any appts. or anything. I'm on Disabilty and do not work. I've always said if a doctor could spend 24 hrs. experiencing what I do they would give me anything. It is horrible to have to live this way, and it just keeps getting worse. Did not mean to ramble....sorry

I concur with the accurate posts of milvus, pink diva and nephro, regarding fentanyl. It's a whole 'nother ball game from some of the oral forms of opiates. I am anything but "opiate naive" and my first prescription of duragesic/fentanyl (at one of the entry-level doses) practically put me on the floor. It is a medicine that has to be given respect and certainly used under a doc's supervision. I shudder to think what might happen with this stuff if used by somebody not used to this kind of potency. The printed circular the drug comes with is intimidating enough by itself-- the words 'death may occur" appear more than once under "adverse reactions," and in other places in the Warnings. It's way stronger than Advil... The box the patches come in have big block letters that say "For use in opioid tolerant patients." That is ample warning...

Thank you all for your replies. I am very opiate tolerant and understand the risks of Fentanyl, you have to be very carefull, and follow the instructions, and for you pet lovers like me, make sure you flush them down the toilet, it could kill your kitties (or doggies). I pray all the time for God to just give me the strength to deal with my pain, I feel so much despair that sometimes I don't think I can handle knowing that I have to live like this and it is only going to get worse. Between that and living alone with no one to even help me, I've sunk into a deep depression that I can't pull myself out of, I was on Effexor, but it didn't help, so now I'm on Cymbalta. When you wake up every morning wrenched with pain, I feel like there is no reason to even get up. Thank God for my 2 kitties, especially Lexy, the only bright light in my life. I know she needs me, so I get up, but it's hard. I'm sorry for this big self pitty party, I'm crying as I write, I just never have anyone to talk to, and no one understands whats wrong with me. So thanks for taking up your valuable time. May God Bless You!
