This is the new thread for sharing comments on PPC, since the other 'Questions, Comments' thread got too long. I thought I would let some of you know that PPC has started a new Direct Script service. This is a portion of the email I received:

<snip>
PPC Direct Script Program is now available for all patients.

Direct Scripts are designed for patients who prefer to take their scripts to their local pharmacy to have filled.

The script is generated on Thermal Tamper Proof Paper and is hand signed by the doctor. There is a number on the script which allows the pharmacy to call and verify the script if necessary. The script will be verified that it is on the tamper-proof paper, your name, date of birth and medication prescribed.

Consult Fees are : $99
Re-Consulting Patients: $69

Script includes the original fill plus two refills. This is a total of 3 fills.

The cost for processing the script is $150 and will be sent COD....

<end snip>

I did NOT want direct script but was assigned to the program anyway. They still have some kinks to work out of their new service, for example, they are waiting for the Dr signed scripts to be sent to them.

I actually received an apologetic call about this on June 13th, last Friday, after I was sent a tracking number. Apparently other patients were affected by this also. I was told I would probably receive my script on Tuesday, June 17.

Janelle runs the DS program and actually called me Wed, June 18 to say they have not received the scripts yet. Called me again on Thursday June 19, 2008 to say they might possibly get them today or 'probably' tomorrow and I may get my script next week. I did appreciate the phone calls

Jody is not affiliated with PPC's ds service, but she did contact me twice to reassure me during my 3 1/2 week wait. She was SO awesome about communicating while with Buydirect, before they stopped serving my state.

I have been waiting since May 27, 2008. I wanted to share this info in case others are having delay issues with PPC. You may have been assigned to their new direct script service. FYI.

I am SO glad that some of you have had good experience with PPC. May they always come through for you.

This is interesting. Any updates on how this is going for you?

I've got some refills left with PPC. But this direct script thing is intriguing (that is, if it's working out ok for folks).

I did not get an email either. Neither did a few people I know who use this service. I wonder if it is only available for the people who are in the states they can't ship to. What state are you in?

Hhhmm... It does kinda sound like this direct script thing that they're doing is only going to be for folks in "problem" states.
I've got a refill coming due on Sunday, and since I'm in a new locale now I may end up having to call them just to make sure things are square with them delivering to my new place and such. If I do end up calling them, I'll ask 'em about the DS service. \:\) Will post when/if I find out more.

I'm not paying another consult fee when they owe me two refills that I already paid for once. They can send me my direct script with my last 2 refills for free then when it comes time to reconsult i'll pay again but untill then nobody should send more money when their the ones that owe us.

I agree snoop. I would not send anymore money when they owed me 2 refills. That's just insane.

Snoop - are you in a 'problem' state? If so, then that's another story - if they had sent out one shipment of meds to you, then didn't send your remaining refills out due to whichever state you're in (or something of that nature), then yes, they should just send out a DS to you with no extra charge.
However, I believe that what most of us where wondering about was the DS issue itself, and which customers had received their email.

How are things over at PPC? Running smoothly? Just curious from someone who has used them recently. Thanks...Have great records, and from what I have read this place is the most reliable lately.

Had a reconsult this month; meds in hand in 24 hours. If you have good records (have seen your PCP within the year), PPC is the best, IMO.

I can't because they use so many different ones. Plus that info should stay off the board.

Has anyone run into a snag with them? I ordered last Thursday, data transmitted to FEDEX with an est. delivery of today (7/21). No answer, left a message, sent email, no return email. Fedex says I must call the shipper - no other info.

Hi dcmom,

I think I posted before about my problems with PPC, I used them for about 2 years, every email, phone call was a HASSLE.

I wish you luck! A friend of mine used them with no problems, maybe (I think) she was more patient with them than I was, after all, you are making them money.

If you get a chance, call them and ask to speak to Jody.

I finally got sick of the problems, runaround, etc., and have a dr., so I don't have to deal with them ever again. I don't care if they were the last OP out there.

Peace!

fisher

Just wanted to ask you guys who have used PPC; have people been denied often? I am planning on scheduling a consul as soon as my records come in. My doctor prescribed meds for my back problems 3 times last year. I'm hoping this will support my need. My new dr is a complete prick and could care less about patients with pain.

Not alot have been denied. If you have good records and prior proof then you should not have any problems.

Thanks Wendy. My doctor from early 06' to November of 07' was the best. He listened and genuinely cared what I had to say. then he relocated to the west coast. Now I have the pain Nazi who actually said to me when I asked for propecia, "Why don't you just shave your head?" (I still have 3/4 of my hair.) I hope this service is as good as patients are reporting. I'll let people know how I make out!

I agree about being legit. There's too many scammers doing shady business. luckily my records are consistent up until now (July 08) for pain treatment. This service has been very responsive and are waiting for my records to proceed. that's a good thing.

PPC is great. They received my records on 8/4 and the consultation was on 8/5. Everything checked out. My records were pretty thorough and specific. The physician took time to explain the risks of certain meds and worked with me for a suitable solution. I'll use them again for sure.

Hello,

I have been trying to go to the PPC website and it won't load. It did a couple of hours ago. I have been a member for awhile now. And this has never happened.

Does anybody know why ????
