I can't vote because there's no option for: it doesn't matter...

I truly could not pick one over any others as they all work exactly the same for me and I am not the only one this applies to. so. if I had to pick, I would close my eyes and point...

Also, there's another brand that's used a lot that some people might like better: Vintage.

I cant really tell the difference between generics and brands. I have never had any problems with any of the generics either.JMO

I was under the impression that Qualitest is the same as Vintage...may be wrong but that is what I was thinking.

Sorry if this is wrong.

I'm with LauraA. I get something different every time and it doesn't matter. Just glad to get anything.
p.s. I got the yellow w/ the V on one side. At first I thought the V was for vicodin but now I know it is for Vintage.

I'm with the 'doesn't matter' crowd. There may be slight differences in the side effects (itching, etc.), but not enough for me to hardly notice. Just glad I get them at all.

Could be Qualitest is Vintage...I have no idea. really. Honestly, I never paid any attention to any of this until I started reading about so many people here having troubles with this one or that one, etc. I was also pretty surprised that I have no trouble with any of them as I am allergic to and have sensitivities to many things and to many things that no one else does. Oh, I learned of a new brand/generic the other day when I got them: Interpharm. PS - They work good too

I have had pink V, M365's and Watson. I agree that Watson works best.

I've also had the opportunity to try the different brands of hydro and frankly, my dear, they all end up working the same--they alleviate the pain and that's what they're supposed to do. Maybe like susieo and LauraA I'm just grateful to get the relief that it doesn't matter. I can vividly remember the times when I didn't have anything at all and couldn't get the relief I needed. Or the doc would prescribe one 5/500 three times a day for a ruptured disk (seriously.) Then again, I shop at Aldi's for many things......

They all worked good for me until the tolorence became an issue. Though i did get one or 2 refills from mallie that really bothered my stomach,i mean gut wrenching pain, doubled over in agony. Its a non issue now since i have no need for them anymore.

For me, Mallies are the stongest but hurt my stomache. I think it is because of the outer coating. All pills which have that waxy type outer coating hurt my stomache.

I can't vote because to me it makes no difference what brand it is.

The only difference I have ever noticed in brands is in the color. Any of the white ones seem to upset my stomach. Maybe it's in my head but it happens every time. The same with percocet, if it is white it upsets my belly.

I agree - mallies are the weakest - hardly even dull the pain, and make me queasy. I'd bet they get the lowest vote! Are watson even better than "name brand"? Probably many of us have never been able to afford brand name to even compare!

Watson works way better, I CAN tell a big difference. The Watson brand does not only take the pain away faster for me, but the relief lasts a lot longer than Qualitest or Mallies. It takes way longer for the Mallies and the Qualitest to take away the pain and then I am in pain, once again, before it is time for my next dose. The Name brand and the Watson - I find no difference....

Watsons are the best in my opinion. Mallies seem inconsistent and tend to hurt my stomach. Th vintage are ok but make me itchy....

I have a pharmaceutical bottle of Qualitest in front of me. It says, "Manufactured for Qualitest Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Huntsville, AL" by Vintage Pharmaceuticals, Huntsville, AL. So I take it that they are one in the same.

Agree with Scoot in some aspects and in general with youse guys: Watson. Have tried the brand (made by Watson) and found little or no difference. The Vintage/Qualitest, IME, have been fine. Mallinkrotch, however, is quite variable, from acceptable, pretty good, to ineffective, just awful. I swear I had a portion of a completely impotent batch once (supposedly 5/500s), with nary a speck of hydro in them. No, I hadn't been taking Percocets the preceding week, or anything else for that matter, no tolerance.

So, at best, I don't trust their quality control. I also think any pharmacy that contracts with Mallie to save money (they're the cheapest) is suspect. If that's all they can get, well, that's different. Also, if it's all *I* can get, the Mallies are just fine. But I try not to put myself in a position where it's Mallinckrodts or nothing. Of course, there have been occasions. . .

I live about 2 miles from Vintage. They are one and the same as Qualitest. They try really hard to keep on the down low. I don't even think that there is an address on the building. Or should I say on the huge fence all the way around the building.

For pain relief I find no difference. I definetly get an upset stomach from the mallies--I did not realize this may be because I am also Lactose intolerant. What is the connection please? Does the Mallie filler contain lactose? I've recently been getting the vintage and it seems i'm a bit more itchy but could be my imagination. It seems to me the watsons present the least difficulty for me wtih those two things. I forgot to add, I am hugely grateful for the pain relief, would take the itchies and upset stomach in a heartbat over the pain!
