My experience with 80DollarConsults.com has been most pleasant. My consult took place the same day as requested. Shipment arrived via UPS in 2 days as requested.
My initial impression was skeptical because they only communicate via email however, they do respond within 4 hours as promised.
My wish list would include them accepting credit cards so as to save me the $12.00 COD fee and the inconvenience of having to go to the bank but it's a small price to pay.
My previous OCS prescribed quanity 120 instead of 80DollarConsults 100 max but again a small price to pay for an OCS that is in business and doesn't leave their customers hanging with empty promises about when they might re-open (if ever).
I have just requested my first refill (fill plus 2 were provided) and it was a fully automated process and quite painless.
Overall score is a 9.0 (very satisfied and just short of perfect).

I did not have a good experience with this company either. So, I went to another ROP that was happy to help and assist a person with CP. My experience included 7 faxes of my ID, they stated they "could not read it." I tried every contrast, enlargement, you name it, I tried it. Then when I cancelled my consult, all of a sudden I had one arranged. To top my story off is I received an e-mail stating that the Dr. recommended I take "tylenol."
Okay, the rep states take a "tylenol" per the physicians order after I cancelled my request for one. Happy there are many other choices out there. As a refugee from the "closings" with degenerative disc disease, bulging discs, sciatic nerve damage and the need for right hip replacement, I guess I would have to take a "tylenol." The constant faxing and smart remarks were my issue with this company. Not good business.

Hi Guys! I'm new....this is my first-ever post! But what I have to say is 'that' important. I, like many of you, fell victim to lost refills and an OCS/Pharm that went bye-bye recently! I was left "hanging". So, I set about to find a replacement. I decided on 80 Dollar Consults for a number of reasons, so I filled in their form and faxed my records/ID to them.
I've used various OCS over the past several years and NEVER had my records (or condition) even questioned, much less turned down! So you can imagine my SHOCK when I was scheduled a consult with 80 Dollar and as I was waiting for the phone to ring, I received an email stating that the doctor said, "the condition does not warrant treatment..." WHAT? I was incredulous!
As I said, I've used many OCS off and on for years now and never once had a problem! I have also used local physicians, in between, as well! NO ONE has ever told me my condition didn't warrant treatment!
Now, Paul was SUPER nice to communicate with. He responded in a timely fashion and was always helpful and courteous. So I have no issue with him at all!!! Super nice guy!
However, I think they either need to send their "lady doctor" back to med school or replace her altogether! How they even stay in business is beyond me!
Thankfully, I found another service willing to help me. I do not recommend this OCS to ANYone!
It's nice to be part of this board. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest! Hope everyone of you nice folks has a great holiday weekend!

Hi Mary,
Welcome to the DB board. This is an awesome place. What a bummer they turned you down. Hope you don't mind my asking, but do you have an MRI or CT scan in your records. Seems they must have one of those two things before they prescribe these days?
Thanks for your input.

Thanks much for the nice welcome, Bonks! It's nice to be here with you guys! :-)
To answer your question: YES! I sent copies of CT Scans done over the past 5 yrs....to show a 'chronic' condition.....along with records from the last year. I also sent my doctor's Progress Notes and other medical records on his practice's letterhead!
So my records were very thorough. As I said in my earlier post, no doctor or PA has EVER questioned them OR my condition! That's why this caught me so "off-guard".....Had anyone even mentioned my records or my condition, I might have been somewhat prepared for a 'possible' rejection. You know? But I've used OCS for many years...finding a new one when one closed....like many others....and have NEVER even been 'asked' to clarify anything!
I dunno! But I certainly cannot recommend this OCS!
Thanks again for the nice welcome!
M.

I just wanted those of you who have had a bad experience with 80dollarconsults.com, especially if it was in the past month or so, to give them a second chance if you're looking for an online pharmacy. I was using 1stmeds ever since norcoworldwide dropped off the map and while their service was generally good their prices are outrageous. Speaking of prices DB needs to check their current price list. It has changed radically upward which is why I went looking elsewhere. 80dollarconsults really stunk it up the first time I ordered and the records they request are rigid, but if you can deal with that part, they have resolved all of the problems they have been having since changing pharmacies and they are now up and running very smoothly. I did have to Notify them about their site still offering c.c. payments which they don't and it says to refill at the member site which doesn't exist,(you have to order by email)but aside from the minor glitches they are definitely back in the game and playing very well. If you're wondering, I am not in any way affiliated with them. They just did me right and then some and I felt I owed them a good review.

I, like someone above posted, have great records, been using op's for 8 (eight) years. I fax my records in, they say they never got them, i fax them again, after 3 days I finally get a consult. At the time of the consult I get an e-mail saying a physical was needed(not) prior to 2006. Well, I had exams from 2007 and 2006 in my 8 page fax, all with sciatica, bulging discs, chronic pain etc. as the diagnosis. I e-mail (you can't call them--it enhances their superior cust. service) ---then they send me another e-mail saying the dr. needs documentation stating I need this medication--this is also in the records I faxed them. I e-mailed back and asked what did they need a physical or documentation of my condition and that I had documentation of lortab/percocet etc. etc. being prescribed--to please clarify what they needed, I offered to e-mail all pages again with further proof of medical need/physicals---All I got from them was "please don't, we already have that. Anyway, I have moved on, all other OCS will/have in the past accepted/never questioned my need for medication.------------PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOU'RE TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE, YOU CANNOT EVEN CALL THEM IF NEEDED--YOD(USED THEN IN 2003-2005)CURRENTLY HAS BETTER CS THAN THESE PEOPLE
