I've noticed a lot of discussion about the different Hydrocodone Brands lately. I'm curious as to what Everyone's Favorite Brand is and Why?

I know this has been discussed in the past, but it seems like more people are taking some of the newer generics such as Qualitest.

Of course, if I were as rich as some of my neighbors around here that are famous in the music industry, that will ONLY buy NAME BRAND-then of course I would too, and it irritates me to stand next to Lori Morgan while she is having a hissy fit because the pharmacist does not have enough to fill her script with NAME BRAND LORTAB, and she refuses to accept anything less--that has really happened--I have run into others, but she made more of a stink than anyone else I have run into. _________________________ "Admin edited out the Kratom sources I was trying to promote with my posts"

They are FAR superior in my opinion.

BTW, I asked the pharmacist why they had gone with Mallies and was told because they were cheaper. She said that they switched back mostly because older patients complained that the pills were "different" than what they were used to! Different not in quality mind you, but different LOOKING! Too bad.

She preferred the Qualitest over all the others by far when she took them. I'm surprised that Watson has the Most Votes. amjacob amjacob Veteran Registered: 12/08/04 Posts: 530	I have to admit I was a fan of Watson until I tried and then enjoyed Mallies for the following reasons: 1) Watsons are "hard" and get stuck in my throat sometimes. 2) Watsons seem to work only AFTER I eat while Mallies work before or after I eat. 3) Mallies seem stronger to me. That's my experience. Your mileage may vary.

I did order tylenol #3 from NDS when they were up and running, and they sent me mallies. God's honest truth, those mallie tylenol #3 were better than any hydro (except for the percodan (422) I took 30 years ago in the hospital, after an accident.

She actually brought out two bulk bottles of the Watson 853s and the Norcos to for me to "visually inspect." Never has this happened to me before in a mainstream pharmacy! They don't stock Mallies or Vintage. I have one refill left on my scrip; also my drug insurance has ceased, so I had been opting for the 853s (10/325s) for the simple reason of price. The 853s are $36.94 for 50, the Norco brand is $87.00 at this pharmacy. But for the sake of comparison, for my next refill I will pony up the extra 50 bucks for the Norcos, then report back in this thread if I notice any difference.

Cixi, Check the price here with the discount card if you have to pay cash for them. In my area the price for 50 10/325 brand Norco with this card is 68.94 on the low end, that would save you around 20.00. You can print it out right over the internet and don't have to wait for the card in the mail. The generics would only be $20.00. You can price check in your area on the site. Remember also that Watson Brand generics are also made by the same company that makes the brand Norcos. www.unarxcard.com
