What the deal? I used to have a lot of posts. Have not gone online for awhile and after years and years of posting on and off my number has come off to stranger status!

I just got an e-mail 3 days ago saying they now have a doc in the Des Moines, Iowa area. Does anyone have any recent experience on how 1stCC is doing with F2F?
I see the cost is about the same for consults. But do they now take insurance by some chance?
And while I realize that the docs will be different in what they'll script depending on the doc, the patient & records, but for pain meds, are they pretty much scripting alike? What type and count? And is it possible to get Oxycodone?
When I last used 1stCC, I was scripted Hydros, but since, my PCP has upped it to Oxycodone, but he'll only script a small amount each month, which is better than nothing at all, but I'm hoping I can do better with 1stCC.

So any more recent info would be appreciated.

Also, is the name of the CS Supv. there, Robin? Or at least I think that was her title. Or is she even still there? I talked to her so much when I was using them and now I'm not sure I remember correctly. think

Frustrated - if you see the doc F2F, I don't know why they don't script Oxycodone. Even if they did, you'd need a written script every month. Month to month. You have to go in and pick it up. No call in to the pharm, no fax, etc.

I would be surprised if they ever scripted Sch IIs.

So the short answer is no. You won't get those meds. Hydrocodone is what you'll get. Sorry to tell you this, but it's the truth. At least it's 10 mg and that's something to be thankful for. Be nice if it was ER, but oh well.

Thanks PNWrain. Because they're oxy-codone, not contin I wasn't sure if they were a Sch II or not. But I do have to pick up my script every month, your right. Guess I just wasn't thinking. With everything I'm having to deal with these days, I'm getting caught not thinking a lot. blush

But maybe they'd be able to mail me the new script each month? I can ask. Or if he's willing to script enough of the 10's, then I could probably do ok with them anyway. I only went to the oxy's cause my doc was too scared to script more than a couple a day. Thanks again. wink

My guess is that they don't script a schedule 2 drug because they want to stay in business. It is hard for a legitimate pain clinic to stay in business with hydro, let alone Oxy. Also, frankly, OXY is wicked bad on the digestive system. The most cases of IC are from OXY. You have to go to an ER to get your plumbing fixed. Never happened to me, but to a friend after surgery and RX with OXY. Honestly, why go to a more addictive drug, also?

Hi,

I just checked your site again and it says you service Ohio now. I'm in Eastern Ohio and was hoping you are close to this area.
Sorry I missed this post back in July.
