There, fixed it for you. (BTW, is commenting on a grammatical mistake really the best you have?)

I think I have figured out the entire premise of any Obama argument between Rs and Ds.

R: Obama is a socialist and wants higher taxes on the rich and more services for the poor, as well as government intervention in every aspect of our lives.

D: Obama is simply using the post-Keynesian approach to preserving our capitalist economy by tweaking taxing and spending, as did George Bush and other presidents before, and taxes will not be higher for the majority of Americans.

R: Obama wants to take away your health insurance, your doctor, all medical freedoms you now enjoy, and set up Orwellian death panels to determine whether you are worth keeping alive or not.

D: That's just a scare tactic of the right. The distribution of medical care in this country is in such poor condition, something must be done. Obama is simply following in the footsteps of other major industrial democracies and providing the choice for poor people or those with pre-existing conditions to purchase. No one has suggested that private insurance be taken away from anyone, but if the public option is successful enough to be competitive, this may actually be a good thing in that it can set up a more affordable and efficient model for health care.

R: Obama has the worst economy and his ratings are plummeting.

D: The economy was already in bad shape when Obama became president, and he hasn't been in office long enough for anyone to judge his actions and their consequences

R: The Dems are not trying to work in a bipartisan way

D: The Reps are not trying to work in a bipartisan way

R: He is respected as a god or messiah, which is dangerous

D: He is an intelligent and charismatic leader, which reminds Democrats of people like Bobby Kennedy

R: He is going to sit down with dictators from countries that are part of the the axis of evil, without any preconditions, which is a threat to our national security and our international image.

D: He is an intellectual diplomat who wants to use a more complex and manipulative style of discussing pertinent issues with countries that pose a threat to us

R: Obama's polices are failing, and they will fail

D: Obama's policies are doing well, and they will do well.

Yep, that is about it in a nutshell, and the 2 sides refuse to meet in the middle-->how sad for this Country, although demographics may tip to one side rather than another (hint, it is the side with a D in it's name as minorities become the majority, and young people also tend to be more Liberal.)

HI geckogecko:

If this was directed to me, I would say it's just much more complex than that.

Imo, we would have to break things down piece by piece.

For now, all I can say is that there are Historically proven domestic (health, economic, fiscal) and (Foreign) policies that work - not perfectly, but they work. They must be followed. Other courses of actions are destined to fail. They will lead to catastrophe. History Mandates this.

Sorry you aren't funny....you may think you are, but the way that liberal mind works, I find no humor.
Tell me what in your background made you think the way you do. Your bringing up, a boyfriend, or husband, or the kind of school you went to?? Seriously, I'm curious. We are both Americans, and love this country, but how did you get these liberal ideas???

Perhaps tigersmom was born in Kenya.

Seriously, count me in as a "liberal" as well.

No, Endgame, my posts are never directed at anyone, and of course the situation is much more complex than that. I was trying to be funny, in a boring sort of way.

In reality, it needed no fixing. The added comma is fine and all, but "reading" as a gerund serves as a noun in your prepositional phrase, and "spread over 53 years" is a participle phrase modifying it as an adjective. It really required no clarification since nothing was wrong with the original. For it to have read "reading spread", it would have had to have a hyphen.

But I'm glad you've made it so Endgame is no longer so confused.

What bothers me about the health care programs, is the Goverment clain to have this huge supply of H1N1 vacine, and they really fell short of what they had promised...and that is whom you want running the Health care in this country. Well I don't!!!!!

The way I understand it.

The virus came on late. They couldn't add the H1N1 to the normal vaccine they make every year.

I guess what they do, is grow it in a chicken egg. Only grows so fast.

That's what I understand any way.

BTW. Its a pharmaceutical company that makes it. Not the government.

Inventive? or perhaps just rational...of course that is a word not used much on the right.

Rational. You use the word so much it loses all of its meaning. You are simply giving an opinion. Calling it rational means nothing.
