just some advice, maybe you should speak with a professional regarding your thoughts on doubling/tripling your doses.

on another note, its always interesting to me to see people who registered here over 5 years ago pop up with one post like this one.

I would be very cautious about going to Florida for pills due to recent worldwide attention to the "pill mills" down there. I would do your homework very carefully and bring your records with you. I wouldn't want to be there and get snagged in a DEA operation without legit needs/records. Embarrassing with records but could have profound consequences personally if not legit needs and you are pulled in.

I could be wrong but I'm sure someone out there knows the law on this...if you are prescribed 240 roxicodone that it gets reported to the DEA. My guess is the pharmacists has to report it...anybody know?

I am in great need of a pain doctor in Central Florida.....Melbourne area if possible. I have a recent MRI but am currently on some pain meds. Nothing illegal in my urine, but I do know that some docs will not write a script unless you have clean, clean urine. Does anyone know where I may find some help?? I am a veteran and the VA only offers methadone and/or morphine. Don't really work on my injuries.....L-3, L-4, L-5, S-1 disc issues from a bad fall.

please help
hurting in florida

To get into a PM DR in Melb area you have to get referred by an Orthro DR or Primary Care, most PM will not take someone off the street. Thats my understanding and how i did it.

I KNOW I have seen this post frequently... Why do you keep changing your screen ID? Anyways, just Google exactly what you are looking for. You are in the land of milk and honey my friend, even in this day.

The much touted pill mill reform is still in committee.

south florida is flooded with these 21 year olds making more money selling most of his /her own prescriptions because it's fast bucks and most can't get a job mostly due to the current eonomic times. I know of a guy that get's a script for 240 30mg oxycodone and 60 80mg oxycontins.

It's to the point where there getting 7 and 8 bucks per 30mg's oxy and 25 for 80mg oxycontin.

This ecomomy has really heart this country it's worse than I thought it was..

I'm scared out of mind to buy one pill from any dealers or illegal source, BUT i'm incredible sympathetic to those in chronic pain that cannot get enough meds to live a better quality of Life...

yes everything gets reported to the Dea ....my cousin is a pharmacist and says these meds are very controlled and she cannot even access them without the owner of the pharmacy being there to unlock the safe they put them in....very difficult to access oxy in any form...unless you are dying of cancer or such....

At the risk of sounding like an ill-informed idiot, what kind of malady (other than cancer, I guess) would require this much medication? I'm not being sarcastic or flippant, I just can't imagine living in that much pain. I think I'd rather be dead!

not true. oxycodone is in percocets which is what they normally give to someone after having some sort of surgery. I've got a rod in my thigh going from my hip to my knee with a big screw at both ends and 3 pins in my ankle I was given a bottle of 100# 10mg percocet for one month, and this was 2 months after the surgery. before that I was given 60# 5mg percs with 30# 5mg percalone (just oxycodone) and the month after the 100 perc 10s, I was given 90 of the 7.5mg percocets. just saying, that you don't have to be dying to get scripted oxy in any form.

You don't have to be dying but you do have to have a chronic painful condition. Doctors are very strict with oxy.

In some states ANY controlled substance gets reported to the DEA.

Alabama for one, my state.

We have a PMP and there is a report from every pharmacy done every month that goes to the DEA.

It includes the medicine and your social security number, name, address and doctor name and DEA number.

Ohio as well. Our PMP must report scheduled meds. Saying that, being sarcastic here, how many people does the Goverment (DEA or otherwise) need to hire to examine the daily counts from all the different states... Wait now I understand where the current Administration is saying employment is on the rise.

Thanks. My state does not have one. I am now in the NE.
