I've run a board before, and things like this are hard. I was over 200 in the past, but had to change names and re-register for various reasons and now I'm far off from 200. Which is frustrating, because I have some experiences I'd really like to share that I can't until I'm up over that 200 number. And the area in which I have the most experience is the one in which I am unable to post, so I don't have a lot to post in the areas which count (I could post a lot in politics, but it doesn't count!) So it really is a Catch-22.

I understand the intent, but I do wish there was a good alternative path.

If there is something that you need to post about a site that is going bad or you suspect, you can always post here which is most needed.

It is frustrating. I have some information that is not completely damning, but is negative and would helpful to other's decision making. But because it is not an actual rip off, but just a "poor service" report, I think it would be viewed as promoting. I have no complaint about the 200 post issue though. The quality of the information here is greatly supported by that. And that's way more valuable than these little frustrations.

I think the best approach is just to accept this as an approach that is a compromise to a problem with no perfect solution. I respect the Admins enough for the service of hosting this board enough to respect their decisions and Rules (i.e. - it's their house we're having our party in! wink )

I suppose if we keep debating this rule for long enough, we will eventually wind up with the 200 posts! Personally, I just made this one here so I can be a "member" instead of a "journeyman" - lol! But think that now I will continue to persue some sort of working cough syrup which is badly needed at the present time, and in between, see about helping others with what limited knowledge I have acquired so far......
