Tiades, sweetie pie, that IS a long appointment. BUT, somehow, I feel that is a good thing. You are going to get an examination for the century.
Maybe, just maybe, a solution that is tolerable can be found. I have learned that tolerable is sometimes all you can hope for. Fibro is difficult cause the docs can't "document" it. There are more things these docs don't know, then what they know. An open mind is required. If a patient presents with pain - pain that has been endured for some time - then (IMHO) it needs to be treated.
Advice alert: I wouldn't let the doc give me "weird" drugs. Probably shouldn't say that, cause others have benefited, but for me, no Neurontin et al. Opiates have the side effect of dependence, and that is bad enough, but other than that, they are pretty neutral. If you have liver issues - yes, no Tylenol, but they come with no Tylenol.
Wishing you a good Friday. Love you kiddo.
Laurie
