I heard a tip a while ago about traveling w/meds; however, it was for driving and for those who have prescriptions.

Take the insurance prescription receipt the pharmacy gives you and stick it in your wallet. That way if you ever get stopped and the cops have any question about your meds, you have the info you need even w/out your script bottle.

Just an idea.

Hey Sec, when is your trip approximately? Also, most airports make you take off your shoes now.

Alleve looks similiar. I believe they are blue and oval but larger. Of coure, I don't think it really matters cause if they ever got to the point where they were looking, there will be questions to answer no matter what. I would be surprised if you had any issues.

If you have persription bottles, it's always best to put pills in the right bottles and take those. I would think this is especially true when traveling to other countries.

I will say this only one more time. If you think the full body scan device at some airports can not detect a few pills in either the pockets of say your blue jeans much less in the linings of a shirt or the fly of your underwear, whatever, then you are sadly mistaken. I fly at the least 4 round trips a month and depending where I am in line have been through the scanners many times. Granted not all airports have them yet and they have say 1 in 4, but it is not worth the chance. Any scheduled drug without a presciption, in your shirt hems is not smart period. Call me crazy! A friggin Vitamin Bottle as people are saying will most likely get you through. For gosh sakes, this is not like a stealth operation here.

I apologize if I have offended you in any way, but please take heed of what all have been telling you here. You should not be stressing on this.

I agree always put your medication in the correct bottles before going on a trip especially out of the country.

I know for a fact that the full body scan device will dectect pills in the lining of your shirt. I travel alot for work (on average about once a week). In the past, I have hid pills in the lining of my underwear.

About 6 months ago they made me go thru one of the full body scanners. I had on a pair of pants that had 2 extra buttons sewn onto a piece of fabric attached to the waist of my pants on the inside. The guy running the full scanner asked me what I had hidden in the waist of my pants. I told him I didn't know what he was talking about. He felt on the waist of my pants where the buttons were and asked "what are these things that you have hidden in the lining of your pants?" I said "I guess it's an extra button, I don't know?" He kept giving me a really hard time about it and ended up making me go go behind a partition and pull down the waist of my pants to show him the buttons. He finally let me go after he saw the buttons.

At the same time this was going on, my bag was going thru the scanner with about 4 OC 80mgs in an Advil bottle mixed with some real Advil pills, and another old prescription bottle for penicillin with about 30 Hydros in it. The guy scanning the bags didn't notice these at all, and after I left the partition, I picked up my bag and went on my way. Nothing in the bag was searched by hand.

After that experience I am never going to hide ANYTHING in my clothes when going thru security. I was lucky that I decided to put the pills in my bag instead of trying to hide them in my clothes like I had done before. Since that time, I have had to go thru the full body scanner many more times. Just so you know, they also make you take everything out of your pockets before you go thru the full body scanner, and they can see if you haven't taken something out of your pockets. Also, as I said, I travel alot thru several different airports. As New4Here said, those full body scanners are not in every airport yet...but from what I'm seeing, they are being installed in just about every airport (regardless of the size of the airprot).

So as others have said, I definetly would not suggest hiding pills in the lining of your shirt. I am not trying to give you a hard time...I just wanted to let you know that from my own experience...I think it is a very bad idea to do that.

Most layman would not know one med from another so it needs to be in a prescription bottle with your name.
