Hey guys. Just received some Alltop-1 (1mg alprazolam) by Ind Swift Limited. I took 4 on an empty stomach about 20 minutes go. I feel a little relaxed but nothing like what I should for having taken 4mgs of xanax. Anyone familiar with this brand? A DP search didn't reveal much. Additionally, there was no bitter taste. Is there always a bitter taste with alprazolam?

I really hope the Zolt (ambien/zolpidem) I received from same mfgr works better!

They're supposed to be entirely weak. Right now, I still only feel a mild sort calm, if as I took 1mg US alprazolam and not 4 mgs of this generic stuff. Which, by many accounts, is legit.

No idea, but there's been several comments on this board from people who say that it's a little weak, but legit. Additionally, on pharmer.org some of the commentators have said that it's definitely legit alprazolam. Some find it a little weak, others haven't had any problems in terms of potency. Some have said it has the customary bitter alprazolam taste, but at least one said it did not. It wasn't bitter (but rather chalky) for me.

I guess I'll try to get more information in an honest effort to understand this phenomenon.
What is the typical dose of Xanax you take daily? Have you taken other benzodiazepines along with the Xanax?
Have you mixed Ambien with Xanax on an empty stomach previously and, if so, what was the result?
You seem to be relying a lot on medical information you're picking up on Internet sites from other buyers of foreign drugs. Do you have an actual doctor who has provided a dx and treated you as a patient?
With foreign pharma manufacturers not subject to the oversight of an agency like the FDA, you might never know about the potency of their medicine from one day to the next. Why anyone would just take 4 on an empty stomach to see what happens is nuts.

I have prescribed by my doctor "2mg alprazolam once daily as needed for anxiety." But I do not take them daily because I don't need to, only when I'm particularly stressed. I do not take any other benzos in addition to xanax, but I will occasionally take Ambien (before bed time) as needed by prescription as well. I ran out of both with no refills, and I decided to try the online route.

Taking 2mg of xanax on an empty stomach would knock me out. Taking 10mg of Ambien on an empty stomach would make me feel strange and ultimately put me to sleep.

I generally do not take these medications on any empty stomach because 1) I usually eat shortly before sleeping, and 2) my anxiety occurs whenever it likes it, whether I have an empty stomach or not - which is not usually the case.

Since I read that the Alltop's were particularly week I decided to take four of them on an empty stomach after work and they did practically nothing.

Trouble is, you can't trust what you read about meds being weak. It's too subjective, and the next person might say they are strong. It's a good job you didn't get a strong batch!

Some counterfeit Viagra that have been tested ranged from subpotency to superpotency, and the superpotent ones had more than twice the amount of sildenafil in them.

If one really has to test questionable pills, it's better to take a normal dose, and wait until the next day before raising it, because you might have to lower it instead.

Point taken. While I tend to think that Indian generics are generally weaker than their American (or perhaps European) counterparts, you're exactly right.
