Flaming may occur to users that engage in behavior that violates what is considered proper board netiquette. A flame war occurs when two or more users hit each other in an escalating manner that threatens to continue unabated. Thanks! smile I know how people don't like to sign for things and I understand, I just wondered if there was less anxiety with USPS.

Nothing ordered needing a sig, just curious

Nobody likes signing for things, but unless you've ordered a massive amount of controled substances you will be fine smile

Is priority mail different than registered mail? It seems through USPS priority mail you do not have to sign?

Priority mail is supposed to only take 2-3 days. You don't have to sign.

Registered mail you have to sign for or go pick it up at the post office if you're not home. I don't think registered mail goes any faster than regular mail.

Registered mail is kept under lock and key from the time it is dropped off at the post office to mail until it's delivered to you. If you are not available to sign for it, it will be put back in a locked cabinet/closet at the post office and you will have to go sign.

Registered mail is what diamonds/gold/important documents, etc are mailed with.

When I worked in a contract post office, it was a big deal to get registered mail in. All sorts of paperwork, then placed in a large canvas bag with a lock.

Just last week, a lady from Hong Kong sent me 3 cheapy rings via registered mail. Me or the mail lady could understand why she sent them registered. It was like forever for them to find the key to unlock the cabinet it was in, then I had to sign 2 or 3 places that I did in fact get it, Show my I.D., etc.
Neither of us could translate the amount of $$ spent on her sending my 3 cheapy rings via registered mail, but I KNOW my shipping payment of $4 didn't cover it.
