You give a benzodiazepine-naive patient 2mg clonazepam and he will be flat on his back all day. 2mg doses are for epileptics, where tolerance is inevitable and acceptable if other drugs don't work well.
0.25mg clonazepam is a sensible starting dose for anxiety, and is probably equivalent (according to the most popular equivalence chart) to 5mg diazepam. Therefore, 2mg clonazepam is approximately equivalent to 40mg diazepam, which IS ridiculous.

what everyone else has basically said. 2mg all at once is meant for epileptics...someone who is not already fairly benzo-tolerant will be crashed out from 2mg, especially sub-lingual.
i tried these once about 2 years ago...too dangerous, because it's a) so easy and they taste great; b) will quickly raise your benzo tolerance and is dangerous if you run out because of the high dosage.
