If ALL that you are worried about is someone getting on your PC and seeing your PC history, then safest is a jump drive with Mozilla Firefox running on it. If you mean "on your network" that is trickier. Network Admins can basically see anything and where it is going. If that is the case, do a goggle search on TOR. That's it, just "TOR". This way of connecting hides your identity behind a bunch of hops to different sits. So say you WANT to browse certain websites, but do not WANT the network admin to know that packets from your PC are going to the i.p. address for www.fluffykittys.com.Tor connects to a network of servers that route your browsing through this network, so that no one knows where you came from, or where you are going. (actually, it is possible, but not very likely at all the end period). By using the USB thingy (technical term) all of the cache and temp files that would ordinarily reside on your hard drive, stay on the USB cache. Then when you are caught for being a corporate spy, you just crush it with your foot. Can't get no data off a smashed chip. (well, again, it can be done, but it would cost millions of dollars and waste countless lives). Oh, and a good start is this website. Very simple, easy to understand, (written for civil servants). http://www.us-cert.gov/reading_room/securing_browser/
