hug No, just that I'm online. But I guess it really doesn't matter. So just leave it alone. Thanks, Admin

You can use any color you want... just select the one you like the most in your preferences... there is also a drop down menu to select the stylesheet on the lower part of the board...

This may sound like a stupid question, but how can I start a new thread?? I have looked on the site and it does not permit me to be able to do that. Help? Appreciated.

You have to be on one of the forums looking at a list of threads to be able to see the "New Topic" button
You can not see it when you are at a thread or a post...

Just go to the forum where you want to start a new topic and you will see the link to do it.

My first post on this message board. I work with a person who has participated here for some time but he apparently cannot access this site any longer for some reason.
While I will continue to read and may participate, I wonder how to communicate with the administrators to provide answers to see what the problem is regarding martind's account here?
Thank you

Have him go to www.drugbuyers.com/help
He is not banned. He must not know his password and he can recover that on the same place where people login... provided he has access to the email associated with his board account

The following are the basics about recovering usernames and passwords:

Quote:
You can recover the username and the password for the free board online.
It is very easy but you need to know the login name of the account or the email address and you must have access to the email address associated with the account

If you have no access to the email associated with the account you can not recover your login name or password unless we happen to know you somehow or you are a VIP member and the accounts are similar...

Go to: http://www.drugbuyers.com/freeboard/ubbthreads.php?ubb=login&lostpw=1
Enter your username or your email address and a new password will be sent to you by email.

Note that our system with only send the info to the email address associated with the account. If you have no access to the email address associated with the the account: you can not recover your UN or PW.

Use that temporary password to get in and then go to your "My Stuff" control panel to change your password for something easy to remember (but not too easy so others can not guess it)

There is no problem that we know about
This is how it works:
To send or receive PM's, or to participate in private topics, members need to have 25 posts... but they also need to have posted recently... if a member has 1000 posts and has not posted since the changes have been made... that member will not be able to PM, send or receive, till he makes a post...

This is new

To make this change we had to set all users to "No private messages" and the only way to get out of there is to make one post above post 24...
Even if you have 300 posts you will have to make a post so our system knows you are still around and changes your settings...

Also note that members can have a maximum number of PM's and when that quota is reached they can not send or receive PM's till they clean up their PM box a bit...

We are sort of suspicious of people that PM and do not post... please help by letting me know if anyone is sending you unsolicited PM's with offers or recommendations of any kind... specially if they ask you to keep it secret...

We feel it is best if all info, except for private info, is posted for all to see and comment... better and safer for all if everything is out in hte open and everybody can comment...

Crooks love secrets and keeping people in the dark... we like info out there in the open for all to see, comment, and benefit...

And we ask all users to report any unsolicitied PM if it includes a recommendation of any kind...

IMPORTANT: It is quite obvious that making silly worthless posts to gain permissions is not allowed... and any poster making silly posts just to ad to their post count will simply be deleted or banned just as soon as we notice

Admin - Posts are exactly one hour off from the time I post them to the date stamp from the UBB software/db server. I posted a test of this here

http://drugbuyers.com/freeboard/ubbthreads.php/topics/942928/Re_test_post#Post942928

Notice the difference in time from what I posted vs. the time stamp. Any one else in PST or any other time zone having this issue?

Thanks...
