I don't know what is going on with APS, but this is day #4 without a refill....

No one is personally answering the phones at AccumedRX or returning any messages, no one is responding to emails at APS, and APS' voice mailbox is full.

This is NOT good.

I called them today about 12:00 noon and they answered the phone. They said they were on vacation last thur and friday. I don't know about Accumedrx though. The guy said they have a new doctor that is much more stricter on records now, just an FYI.

Hey Everyone

I have a couple good news announcements to make. First off, back by extreme popular demand is Jenmar Pharmacy. We will now be using them as our primary pharmacy for all patients except those living in Arkansas, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, Nevada. Patients in those states will continue to stay at AccumedRX Pharmacy. Jenmar accepts orders all the way until 5pm EST so that is good news for people seeking same-day shipments.

Also we are working with a new doctor, Luis Maduro, and he is comfortable prescribing 120 count, as long as you have good records to support it.

I have a question; I've been trying to get my 1st refill ordered, but can't get thru to ACCUMEDRX. I have emailed and left messages. Since you are now using JenMAR, did my refills get sent to them or did they stay at ACCUMEDRX? I don't have the bottle that my orginal prescription was in so I don't have the RX#. I will PM you with the details, but can you clarify how a situation like mine will be handled. I live in Texas

We run thru emails every 15 minutes so each one gets answered.

Also I wanted patients to know we have hired a new doctor, Dr Luis Maduro, who comes with great experience, having worked at a pain clinic in Texas. We've been receiving many compliments on the doctor, who goes beyond just prescribing medicine, but is also very helpful giving suggestions on what else might work for the patient. He himself had alot of knee and leg problems, so he can empathize with our patients. He is also only working for our website so he is able to give each patient their due amount of time and attention.

Ok, just wanted to update everyone on our situation, hope everyone has a great pain-free weekend.

I just spoke to Dr.V, he was very nice and answered any questions i had! And didnt have a problem prescribing 120, as my condition does warrent it. So i should be getting a tracking # alittle latter, proly after 7 or 8 tonight.

Dr.V doesn't work for APS anymore. A Dr.M something works for them now. I just saw a post by the rep from APS about changing doctors.

I read that too, but when the Dr. called he WAS DR. V! So he IS still there!

I just got of the phone with Dr. M and he was very helpful. My prescription was filled through gen-mar and I expect it sometime tomorrow.

These guys at APS are very nice and very helpful when you can get them on the phone, despite the fact that I've had problems with Accumed, their pharmacy. Accumed is really disorganized sometimes and I had quite an ordeal over a package that was stolen from UPS hub - they did a tracer and then denied that they had anything in their notes at all about a tracer, really really a teeth-pulling experience just to get a replacement. They kept adamantly denying any knowledge of the tracer even though UPS said yes they did. I would not use them anymore as long as they keep Accumed as their supplier. Also, APS no longer deals with North Carolina so not using them is now a moot point for me anyway. Please add NC to their list of states they don't service.

I have been trying to fax records for two days to two different numbers. NO LUCK and no help from cs. Guess it's time to move on! Any sugggestions? My pcp up and left and I am stuck in a bad situation.

Sorry for the delay our doctor has been attending the Anti-Aging Convention in Las Vegas Thursday and Friday. It will be business as usual beginning Monday. Feel free during your next consult with the Doc to ask him about the Convention, he said he learned some very interesting things, and I'm sure he'd love to share it with people. Has anyone else had problems calling them lately, like today? I am trying to call to ask them a question, but when I dial the number nothing happens. No busy signal, no nothing. Just dead air. I have tried e-mailing and I have sent a PM so maybe I'll have some luck with one of those routes.

Just wondering if anyone else was having problems getting through.

Are you up and running? As of today 2/29, I have been unable to get a response from anyone at your place of business. My refill is due from Jen-Mar, and I know they closed. Are you making any efforts to transfer the refills to other pharmacies, or are you completely shut down?

Don't expect a response from them. They went under and left their customers high and dry. I had two refills left with them and they just closed up shop. They kept saying they were looking for a new pharmacy, but then nothing. They are gone. Sorry.

Yesterday I received a phone call from a person with a rather heavy accent who identified himself as "I'm with Online Health Solutions and we are calling our customers because of the problems going on." I did not recognize his voice as any of the people I've talked to in the past. He said the pharmacies did not want to meet the new standards of the DEA and they could not prescribe hydrocodone any more because of that. He tried to sell me Tramadol and something else and said something about the strength of it, that it would be just as effective as what I was taking before, yadda yadda yadda. It was difficult to understand him. I said no thanks, he asked me if I wanted other medications like xanax or valium. I said no, I only need pain medicine for chronic pain and thanked him and hung up. I emailed APS a couple of weeks ago to see if they'd answer me (I had been a patient with them for quite a while and they would have recognized me.) No answer was received.

I decided to try and use MYC when it looked like APS was gone for good since I hadn't heard anything. I posted about my positive experience. There was a bit of a delay in the shipping time, but that was to be expected since they all of a sudden and unexpectedly got lots of new business. I was impressed that the way they handled the problem was by continuing to work with the pharmacy until the medicine got shipped. The problem is not that there are problems -- how problems are handled says alot about a place or an individual and each step of the way, every email I wrote, was responded to promptly, politely and I was assured I was not getting lost in the rush.

Anyway, I hope the mailing list in APS wasn't sold or something..........maybe the person actually was with APS if it is under different management now? Don't know. Their site is still up, though. Maybe other people are getting these phone calls?

My heart goes out to everyone who has been caught without pain medication. I had two refills with APS and Jen Mar that are now lost.

Im not 100% sure on this but I think I read last week there's a knock-off company called AAAPAINSOLUTION, not to be confused with APAINSOLUTION. Maybe they're the ones who called you.

Actually, according to the emails I've gotten, they are back. I had a consult with the Dr. The other day (Monday). The problem is, I cannot get them to respond to any of my emails, and I'm starting to get pretty doggoned frustrated. They have been quick to take my money, but slow to respond to any inquiry post-consult. Both the consultation fee and what APPEARS to be the prescription fee have been taken from my account (On tuesday), but I have recieved no tracking information, no confirmation of ANYTHING. This is completely out of character for them, based on my interactions with them in the past, so I'm not entirely sure what is going on. I hope they still check these boards, because I would LOVE to know where my money went.

Got Ahold of someone this morning....he said something like the pharmacy had a power outage...that their scripts were supposed to be filled yesterday afternoon...the damage was more than they thought it was...something...I'm starting to become...dissatisfied. I know these situations are beyond APS's control, but being kept up-to-date on what the heck is going would sure be nice. I hate chasing answers.

This is a copy of my post in the other thread. I felt it necessary to copy and paste it here in order to provide some info.

I'm going to step in here and completely agree with what Katydid said. And I will offer some feedback, as well. My friend (yes, it's true!) signed up again with apainsolution. They still had his records on file and the doctor called him within 2 hours of speaking to a cs rep that he described as "very nice and on top of things." He said that the rep explained that their new pharmacy had a "blackout" in their computer system from a heat wave, I believe, or some sort of weather thing. The pharmacy is delayed with trying to fix the problem, but apainsolution is back up and running strong. I asked him if anyone asked him for his ss # over the phone and he said no way. So from what I can tell from his experience, this is not a scam.

I really think that if anyone is spooked or curious JUST PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL THEM!!! Find out for yourself and speak to a live person and get your fears calmed down before slamming them. I know that in the past they were an upstanding company. Seriously, just call them! Oh, yeah. They honored his VIP discount and gave him an additional discount because he lost a refill with Jen Mar.
