i went to the doctor today regarding my anxiety and he ended up writing me a script for cipralex. i knew it wouldnt be good but i didnt want to mention that or suggest another drug or i might look like an addict just there to get some drugs. whats a good way to tell him this stuff is no good and if i could try low dose klonopin? Have you taken Cipralex or Lexapro before? If not, how would you know that it "wouldn't be good?" On the other hand, if you had taken it before, it would have been entirely appropriate to tell your doctor about your history with the drug and then discussed possible alternatives. Is your interest in taking Klonopin based on successful past use of this medication? From my personal experience, the best way to tell a physician that a drug is not working is to take it for the recommended period of time (I believe 5-6 months for Lexapro) and then report your experience. Asking for a benzo by name at this point in your treatment is usually not the best strategy.
