Really? I live near Sandy, UT. Is it allowed to provide the Doctor's name or no? The last online site I used was medservicesdirect, what website would I go to in order to set-up a consult?
Thks, T

I like to share things like doc name, pharmacy etc, by pm. It seems to me that info should be shared but perhaps not shouted from the roof tops so to speak.

Hi All, I'm kinda new here but I do live in UT. I had an embarrasing situation the other day-I went to my doc 3 days early for a refill of pain meds and he gave it to me but his nurse wrote on the script "Not Due yet. Don't fill before 2/19/10" I was humiliated. I'd done this before, and sometimes he would write it a couple days early, sometimes not, but he always gave it to me, dated whenever he felt I "deserved" it, I guess. But this time, I felt like the nurse believed me to be a druggy. Maybe I am, but I need that pain med and I've been in a lot of pain for the last couple days - which is why I asked for it early.
Anyway - I probably won't do that again. Anyone else have any situations like that?
btw - I do like and respect my doctor. Maybe his nurse was just watching out for him - a busy man signing scripts between patients. Who knows?

I'm sorry heythereyall, I know exactly how you feel. About 85% of the Medical Assistance and Nurses here are stuck up, they seem pleasant, but if theres history with you and the clinic or you strike them strange, its straight to gossip.

IMO Utah Valley is infamous for people craving/creating over sensationalized story's. Meaning medical professionals would rather see a 20 something female just wanting a quick fix, instead of the solid history that proves she has chronic pain, but to them it seems more that she's just after her happy pills.

Also Utah is now overfilled with whistle blowers. Whistle blowers are a good thing, they keep patients and practitioners in line. However, when even the naive, innocent, law abiding patients have to watch every step they take just to be sure they don't become suspicious, its gone to far.

So I can see why these doctors have become so timid of Rx'ing the meds that help, and yadah yadah yadah lol.

So on plus side heythereyall Im glad they still filled it for u even with the wait.
