I'm asking for a couple of reasons but mainly just want to know because of the holiday, the reduction in force at USPS and what I experienced during the 4th holiday.
On the weekend of the 4th, I saw the mailman drive into the neighborhood, but he stopped at about every 5th house and was out of here in record time.
Today, no mail...obviously, but I wasn't here to see if he just passed me by or if he just didn't deliver at all.
I suspect I will see the same thing tomorrow that I saw on the 4th holiday...he will deliver sporadically, enough to keep people from bitching but not enough to get my packages to me!
TIA!

You know, I've noticed that also. I wonder if they leave the main place earlier before the rest comes in, because I get hardly anything on Saturdays, and a bunch on Mondays. I guess I could check to post dates to see.
Ok now you got me thinking....Hmmmmmm

There is nothing more precious than having true friends
I get mail everyday, be it junk, bills, catalogs or packages. I wish I was here to watch him do what he did over the 4th, selectively deliver. I've seen it done here for years - same mailman, same habits. If I was home I would have went outside when he was in the area to make sure he stopped.
That's why I looked on their site to see if maybe they took 1/2 day off today and maybe 1/2 day off tomorrow. Of course, could be just my mailman taking time off too.
I know many PO's are going to be shut down in my area real soon, one of two in my city for sure.
Okay, thanks all.
