Never ever take phenibut in non capsule forum. I have sensitive teeth and you can feel the acidity. It feels like it takes off the enamel of my teeth. Nasty tasting stuff anyway. It Feels real weird brushing your teeth after taking a spoon full of phenibut.

I stopped experimenting with that stuff. When i developed what can best be described as a ulcer like condition that lasted for days. I still have some but I am afraid to take it.

It's in capsules so I think this is ok.

That's a great question. My DR prescribed seroquel as well. And while it does work it knocks me out into a deep sleep. So I asked to be switched and they prescribed Trazodone which doesn't work at all, just makes me feel groggy the night I take it and the next day. I asked to be prescribed Ambien.

Benzos do not put me to sleep at all.

Just wanted to say I slept well with the Lunexor. I'll alternate between it and the Lunesta but overall it's an excellent alternative.

Remeron works great for me. I dont feel groggy in the morning either. Its also classified as an anti depressant so your Dr will probably write you a Rx if you ask.

Another vote for mirtazapine.

No benzo puts me to sleep either anymore. Ambien CR doesn't work as well as the regular one. Trazodone helps a little but I do feel like I was clubbed in the morning.

Zanaflex always knocks me out. The generic (tizanidine) is not expensive and readily available. It is short acting, though, so sometimes I am up in the middle of the night but it is perfect if I need to grab an hour or two in the afternoon.

I have not found restoril to work well for sleep. I would suggest zanaflex as the poster above has.

I just got a script for Trazadone. Hubby says I'm zonked out on it. Hung over feeling but I'm only on day 3 or 4 and I missed a day. Tried xanax, midazolam both work but not for long periods. Benadryl gave me cotton mouth. Tried zopiclone but didn't do much.

I like to take seroquel 150mg 1 hr before bedtime and also it helps to keep me very calm and tolerent of some of the complete dicks that all of us often encounter on a daily basis.

How about Restoril..Temazepam..30mg Novataris SP?
Those any good? Would like to try but seem like they are just another benzo. Lunesta worked great but they were $6.00
a pill (Got samples..) but had a nasty aftertaste.
Seconal worked great but hard to get a script for those..

They work great for some people.
Most people tend to develop a tolerence fairly quickly though.

Many insomniacs find one tablet will work good for a while and then find they have to change to another type.I think the less you can take a sleeping tab the better they will work when you do take one.

As a lifetime insomniac, I know that's easier said then done.

I have found temazepam to be very good for one off use, but not for long term use.

For short term insomia I found 1000mg of Chloral Hydrate works great. I was sleeping 2 hours a night for a month, making me a zombie at work. We tried the ativan then ambien (did not work at all for me). Finally he perscribed a weeks worth of chloral, I used it for 2 nights, broke the no sleep pattern and finally I was able to get back to my 6 1/2 to 7 hours a night. Sometimes old school works the best.

If needed, the occasional Temazepam 30mg works for me. I stress "occasional." I don't think any pill will work on a long term basis due to tolerance.

Temazepam tends to give me nightmares and I wake up with Neck pain.. Dormicum (Midazolam) works great, especially if sleep meds don't work well for you.. It's too bad here in the U.S doctors only use it for sedation and I think it's only offered in IV liquid form?? I can see how there is an abuse potential with this med, because it is very strong.. When I was traveling over Europe and needed some sleep medication, my friends doctor gave me a script for the remaining days of the trip. My PCP was surprised they had that medication in pill form and was used generally for sleeping in some parts of Europe.. Just Curious.. Do they still prescribe Seconal?? I haven't heard of anyone being prescribed this med in a long time especially any barbituates.. benzo's and hypnotics have taken over for awhile now....
I hope everyone has a great weekend and awesome sleep!!

louis76,
Regarding "Seconal" a/k/a red devils....Eli Lilly & Co. sold the manufacturing rights to Ranbaxy Pharma, who earlier
this year licensed Marathon Pharmaceuticals to manufacture the
100 mg. secobarbital, using the tradename "Seconal". They have been around for fifty+ years, but have been quite rare in the USA for the past two decades. Beware, the price has increased substantially, now that Marathon is producing the potent capsules. Average Wholesale Price $468.75 for a bottle of 100 capsules. Source REDBOOK 2009 edition Pharmacy's Fundamental Reference. I have never heard of Seconal offered online anywhere. It historically was marketed only in the USA, Canada, U.K. & Ireland. (Eli Lilly, later Flynn Pharma)
Regarding "Halcion" by Upjohn/Pfizer......it is offered online in either 0.125mg or 0.25 mg. with IOP www.igloorx.com
I haven't tried them.... has anyone out there tried the Halcion from Igloo? (.125mg. x 30 for $58.80)

There is no way I would pay the price for seconal, but I would love to find a reputable source for halcion. It puts me out like a light in no time. I have never heard of Igloo? If you have a reputable online source for Halcion I would appreciate a little info. Thank you.
