Today a UPS driver (our regular driver as I ship lots of stuff on Ebay) showed up with an unexpected COD package for over $250!!!!! from some place called "Discount Pharmacy"

I never ordered ANYTHING and of course snet it back and did not accept it. Has this happened to anyone else?? What is going on? Why on earth would someone do that???

Anyone have something similar happen or any insight?

I have had them call me many time trying to sell me meds. They have mostly american names with Indian accents. They always use gmail if you can get them to email you their info.
They cannot get US meds even though they say they can because it take 15 days to get them. Imake them jump thru hoops then don't order because they won't leave you alone once they get your phone #.

The funny thing is I have never spoken to them or even ORDERED something from them and something just shows up?? I DO get SPAM CALLS all day but never pick up or respond. I assume the old place I used THREE years ago sold my info???? So I just ignore them completely.

So is it safe to assume there was JUNK in the envelope? And they were just praying and hoping I was actually going to accept something I NEVER ordered?

What is diff between Indian meds and US meds anyway???

THis was just really wierd. It just SHOWED UP! No orders, no phone calls, nothing!

I USED to get meds 3 years ago when it was legal from a valid US doctor and they reviewed my records VERY CRITICALLY. And that was AGES ago as I since have had insurance and have a doc.

I just cannot beleive someone would go thru the expense of shipping something BLIND like that.

WHat the heck you think was in there?

Discount pharmacy is the pharmacy that the Frontier (NROP) site uses. They tend to not Notify and take forever to decide to ship or not. Hope this helps. Izzy

I wanted to respond to the SPAM part of your message. In the last month, something has happened. I now have to clean out my spam folder twice a day. I'm getting between 500-800 every morning when I wake up. It's all in my spam folder so I scan it quickly to make sure there's nothing from the family then hit Delete All. I can't believe it. I've always gotten a few spam, but they are filling up all my space, and if I don't go to my email address and delete them, they take up my entire amount allocated to me by Hushmail. There's no way to make them stop, and I don't respond to any of them ever, so I hope eventually they'll think it's not a good email and drop it.

Anyone else w/ Hushmail getting literally hundreds of emails every 10 hours or so?

These people are pains in the arses. They have american names usually the last name is watson or wilson and they have indian accents. If you buy anything from them they are homemade hydros from india and they are useless. I have some samples coming next week if they are real I will post.

got a cold call.....beware, most drugs from these sites are fakes. Asked for my husband, then said "your doctor has OK'd 100 pills". I said, "really, who is his doctor?" They said, after a long pause, "Dr Smith". Ya, right. They said 100 for 400.....isn't that cheap by Frontier standards? I remember looking at the site once when people said how outrageous they were. So, for many reasons I believe they are fake meds and preying off of desperation of people, just like the many other places being used.

I found a way to make it stop. These people were ruining my LIFE. I flipped out on them. I asked 3 or 4 times for them to never call again and once they called back to say I would be removed. They called and called and left message after message for months. I finally called back after they called at 10:45 the night before and demanded to know who they were. I was told they were a payday loan service but others used the line. I screamed for them to get the drug dealers on the line. I was on hold for 10 minutes than hung up on. I reported them to the DO NOT CALL list than called them again (could only get voice mail now) and read exactly what the DO NOT CALL list does with a reported number. It was some scarey stuff the DO NOT CALL list says.
I've never heard from them again!
I wonder if I should see if that number is still working. Nay, it may make it start up again.

The very same thing happened to me. I ask them who they are and all they say is "online pharmacy ma'am." at 1st I tried to argue and ask specifically, same response. They ALL had accents and the calls would start 8am EST (Im in PST zone) and call me all day (this is not a joke) till 9pm PST, I would ask how they got my phone # and they would just say the pharmacy. I get postcards all the time. When I asked their name, seems like they all had the same one. They were so relentless no matter how much I said quit calling. I believe that either someone sells our information from other companys or perhaps following our cookies to websites that I order from. I finally changed my phone# cuz it was just too much to deal with, not wanting to answer my phone etc etc. And yes I agree there has to be something we can do about this privacy issue.

I had to do the same thing a few months back. I changed my phone number. Luckily for me I no longer use a house phone. We only have cell phones. Still it was a pain in the ases to get everything changed on my side.
The even worse part was getting these phone calls while I was at work. One time I was in a meeting. I just hung up. I should of put my phone on vibrate, but I forgot.

HaHa, Rsorts - I was about to ask you about that. (Tongue in cheek, lol.) Gotta laugh, right? Thanks.

I've never gotten the privilege of receiving a " package". I congratulate anyone who has. Don't think I would accept it. Too "iffy".

The "blank" MOs are key, lol. Just print them out. I am laughing hard. Thanks again.

I have, however, received the emails in my spam folder. Deleted. DON'T disrespect me. Just go away - CL & DK and whomever. You are scum.

If Ken showed up with a package - I wouldn't accept it. But that is me.

Hey Rose - I'm in the NW too. I have not been "privileged" to receive all these calls. Once I think.

Don't answer - ever. That's my policy - I never answer a call that I do not recognize. If they leave a VM (which they never do), I'll listen to it and delete.

Once you answer, they know they have a "live" potential customer. And they'll never leave you alone - no matter what you say.

I don't know why I haven't gotten all these calls (boo hoo, I'm feeling rejected, lol), but if I did, I would just not answer. Period. Ironclad rule. IMHO that is the ONLY way to get the calls to stop.

Give it a try. And definitely set your phone on vibrate (LOL) or turn it off at work.

Hope this helps. AND, hello fellow NWer!

Hi Rain........Im further North than you given youre "rain" as part of your username LOL. In short it doesnt make any diff not answering cuz they do leave messages and fill up my answering machine. They call every min...in a ROW. Calls rings 10x hand up call ring 10 hang up non stop. Im thinking sheesh I didnt answer your call 1min ago what makes them think Im gonna answer it again!! GRRRRR and then I have to play stupid in front of my friends (dont want them knowing what I do) and say its a bill collector LOL. So either way I had to listen to their [censored]. Ive even told them to stop but still didnt work. Its better now that I changed my #, but now I worry about the next place I order from it will probably end up the say thing. LOL you cant win for losing.

The reason that the calls are coming from different places are because they are using cell phones. Some drug company "employee" has been calling me non stop from a cell phone that is in Angels Camp Ca. They call my house from 8am- 9pm PDT everyday. I was really starting to go nuts because they won't give up no matter what I say, and the don't answer the phone doesn't work because yes they leave message after message..I have said "there is no one here by this persons name" and when I say that they have the nerve to say "What is your name? Do you need any xanax or vicodin?" After threatening them with calling the DEA, the cops and anyone else, they still didn't give up so I got call blocking and whenever a drug company calls, I put them on my blocked call list so they don't get to call again. It works for awhile, but when one guy goes away there are 10 more that take his/her place, so you just have to keep up with it until something can be done about these leaches..
I also got a COD package from a place I never ordered anything from, and the UPS guy said it was like $200+ ..I just didn't accept it. For some reason, it didn't shock me, I guess these guys will try anything to make a quick buck..

Did you ever inform local law enforcement about the calls?
The state of California has a very active enforcement effort that investigates harrassing telephone callers. Check out CA Penal Code 422-422.1.
