1mg of Alprazolam knocks the bejesus out of me, too - that's why I only use it as a sleep-aid.

I'd definitely split your clonazepam pills if I were you, unless you want another day feeling like a zombie.

When I started self-prescribing benzos, I'd take double the doses I take now. I realised that, for me, a single daily dose of 1mg of clonazepam in the morning worked pretty much the same as taking 2mg, and if needed for sleep, 1mg of alprazolam got me to sleep as fast as taking 2mg. Ambien does nothing to me, unfortunately.
I think I'm very lucky that was the case; I could have gained a tolerance and be taking single doses of over 2mg of clonazepam or alprazolam, which is, in my opinion, a ridiculously high dose. I suppose 1mg isn't exactly a small dose either, but it will be more manageable when it comes to tapering (fingers crossed).

Where most IOPs sell 2mg clonazepam pills for the same price as 10mg diazepam pills, if you buy the 2mg clonazepam pills and split them into quarters, you're laughing seeing as though one quarter is the same strength as a whole 10mg diazepam pill. Yes, it's subjective, but for me that's the case, and might be the same for you.

Anyway...start small.
