Just signed up for F2F lastnight. I live in LA and of course I couldnt find and good PM Dr.s here. But I have to go to Chicago next week for business and I was going to try to get into see Dr up there. Well 1stchoice called me just a minute ago and they said they just got a Dr down here...lastnight. So Im gonna try to get in next week and see how it goes and Ill report back.
These drs. are getting too involved with multiple OCSs and will eventually create problems. Now 1stchoicemeds has lost it's available pharmacy. I am scheduled to have a F2F in Texas next week and I live in La. I have already made travel arrangements and found out they had a traveling dr. coming to La. If the dr. in Tx prescribes a Sch III medication I won't be able to get my refills transferred to La. This really sucks. Especially since I have had to wait a month for this F2F and it would cost me too much to cancel. Folks just be aware that some of these OCSs will tell you one thing and later leave you holding the bag.
Thanks mrsjones for the info. I already had an account for drugstore.com and may have the doctor call the Rx in. I need to investigater that further. But just using a Walmart sure sounds easy. I will also call Target to see.
Waitin, I sure wouldn't use drugstore.com. I love the site and buy tons of regular drugstore items, but this place is known for taking prescriptions, sending emails saying they are keeping the prescription because it isn't legit, and you are stuck. Now they have your prescription and you have no way of getting it back.
I do not have personal knowledge of this. Only from what I've read on the board over and over about them confiscating Schedule III prescriptions and not returning them.
I'd try the Walmart thing or Target first. But hey, go to drugstore.com to get all your other items because they have great sales! lol
Before the RHA when I had direct script, I used drugstore.com. The first time everything went fine but when it came time for my second script they would not fill it. When I called CS and asked why they said it was from an "internet doctor". I didn't argue but firmly requested that they send the script back to me, which they did. I don't know if this was an exception because they had already mistakenly (per their policy) filled one script, or because I asked in the correct polite but firm voice but I did get it back. Why put yourself through that grief? Better off with a brick and mortar pharmacy.
Thanks guys for the advice. I did a seach and found out that there's a Walmart right next door to the dr.'s office. So I think I will go that route.
Now as for drugstore.com. I did some research on their site last night and I think they are ok as long as you follow their strict Rules for Rxs. Yo have to readd through their long list of FAQs but they are very thorough in explanations regarding shc II-V meds. They say the best way is to have the dr. fax or call a special phone number with the Rx. It's best not to take the Rx home. If you leave the dr.'s office you will have to mail the original script to a special address. They do provide all the instructions.
Right now I think I will try using Walmart since it's next door.
Oh yeah, I've ordered non RX stuff from drugstore and they are super efficient.
