I found this info about using WU online. I think it might apply with regard to using WU for any transactions you might pay WU to preform for you. Be it sending your family some funds or paying an employee that can't wait for a check in the mail."1. When you transfer money with this service (if Western Union clerk ask or if is any field on that form, where you could write reason of transaction) please write "DONATION". Otherwise, IRS here will tax us everything. Never tell WU that transaction is for commercial purposes, always tell them is "DONATION". WU doesn't allow sending money for commercial purposes. 2. Very rarely, Western Union clerk can ask you any extra questions about purpose and receiver details of this transfer. Just tell them very clear that is just a "DONATION" for someone in need and is only your personal problem. If you need any other personal details about RECEIVER, please email us." "Although you can use Western Union online, but it is much more discrete if you go in person and place your order that way. It is also a bit cheaper. WESTERN UNION ONLINE PROBLEMS: Some problems only seems to be occur when members are trying to wire money to these pharmacies directly from the WesternUnion.com website and paying online with their credit cards. If the member goes to their local WU agent and pays with cash there is no problem, the money is sent no questions asked, this problem only occurs when payment is made by wiring the money online using a credit card. Also, after you wire money by using the WU website, you may have to call to verify the transaction with WU, this usually occurs the first time you send money online with a credit card. So if you are asked to call to verify the transaction, there is no need to panic, this is standard procedure. When you call to verify the transaction, every once in a while the WU agent may alert you that you are wiring money to a person that they have had complaints about and may ask you a few questions or warn you not to send this person money, but it is your money and you can send it to whoever you want, especially if this person has performed a service for you such as working on a website for you, a friend that is in need, a relative, etc. They don't need or have any right to know what you may need to send money overseas for. If you are trying to wire money directly from the WesternUnion.com website and paying for the WU transaction with your credit card, you may want to call your Credit Card company in advance to Notify them that you plan on using your credit card to pay for a Western Union wire, otherwise it may result in you never being able to use that credit card again with WU. If your transaction is ever declined and a code comes backs on the decline screen in RED stating, U820 (it'll say this in red) that means you'll never be able to use that card with Western Union again. Most Likely Reason #1: Your Credit Card Company issued an early Fraud Warning Detection (CitiBank and major companies all do this) which blocked a Western Union Transaction from taking place. That CARD CAN NEVER BE USED AGAIN ONCE IT GETS THE U820 in RED Code!!!! Very important. Have your CC Company issue you a new card or use another card only this time call in advance and tell your CC company that you plan on making a Western Union wire or two using that particular card!!! The early Fraud Detection won't take place if forewarned."
