just a normal business envelope with the Dept of Homeland Security or US customs and border protection (i forgot which one) logo on it in the upper left corner... and i dont think many people will know whats inside unless they have gotten one before
I would be willing to guess that your carrier has a pretty good idea what it is.Especially if you've received some mail from a foreign country in recent times.
My friend who pointed this site out to me said he has never received a US Customs letter. He only orders maybe 5 times a year but I was wondering what the chance of getting something confiscated are?
What is the current administrations stance on the importation of personal medication importation?
I apologize if this is a impossible question to answer, and I have search the board for an answer. It is likely; however, that I may have missed the correct thread discussing this.

Thanks, Grace
the stance is ALL ILLEGAL unless you have a DEA import license.

As for receiving anything at all via post, even not meds, etc. which is not shedulled/requires a license is fine, but yeah on the topic of schedulled meds, which many of us take the risk to receive because of availability, it is illegal, eventhough well yeah some meds are available. All depends on what you are after I suppose.
I understand that controlled mesd are illegal, but how aggressively do they pursue this issue?
Grace
How aggressive US government agencies are regarding seizing inbound shipments of prescription drugs is open to question at any one time since enforcement efforts seem to vary from facility to facility. However, there is no question that the importation of prescription drugs, scheduled or unscheduled, is illegal unless you have an importation license. There is no "personal use" or other regulation exemption except in very rare instances when you and your physician have identified a medication (such as Rember for Alzheimers treatment) made in another country and not FDA-approved here.
Im still really confused as to the legitimacy of non-controlled meds. I was reading in some depth and found that they can detail a med for just about any reason. If its not in the original box, if it dosnt have the manufacture booklet. If its not in English!! Are they kidding English isnt even our national language, how can my taxes pay for a translator in say US courts, but I cant import a medication that isnt in English!
I have a hunch the law, really is in favor of our wonderful pharmaceutical community.
