I used them this week. I got the regular lortab 10/500 120ct. with #2 refills. They only charged $225 for my F2F which is good for a year. I also used the pharmacy they have and got my meds the following morning. Customer service was 1st class.

Would be nice if their rep, or any member, could explain some of the text on their front page like:
Quote:
At 1stchoicemeds.com we have many years of combined experience in the OCS business. We have observed the failings of many OCS companies inferior customer service over the last several years and vow to go the 'extra mile' for our customers.

Who where they before or where did they work before to gain all that experience?

Not sure who they were before, but I did their contact request for information and received a reply in just a few hours.
I plan to arrange a F2F with them.
They have been the only OCS to respond to me quickly in the last week when others have still not responded to my inquiries.
So I say they seem to "go the extra mile" and I say Thanks!

If you have to use there Pharmacy you had better read the RH Act. They cannot provide Pharmacy service and be compliant. The DEA will bust them and you'll be out your refills

Yeah, you are right. And we all know how that goes, with the pharmacy issue! They ought to do direct script instead. They seem to be pretty good with their feedback but when they say they use their pharmacy--OUCH! And I agree admin.,they probably said that on their page for marketing and didn't think people would think about it, lol. But this is true. Were they an OCS that went under?

In reference to board member "pixie" . There is a online pharmacy called "drugstore.com". Any licensed physician in the United states can send/fax over your prescription, and they in turn will ship you your medication. This is perfectly legal, and completely complies with the RHA law. As long as you see a doctor, and are examined, you can have your prescription filled by an online pharmacy, as long as the pharmacy is compliant to all hippa and RHA laws. If you go to "the drugstore.com" website, you can read all about the laws pertaining to mail order pharmacys. The Feds wanted to get the OCS company's that were using Doctors that did not see the patient face to face for an exam. The pharmacy's chose not to be affiliated with these company's for obvious reasons by the time the new RHA law went into effect.
Again, as of now, there is no law against an online pharm shipping you medication as long as your doctor is licensed and has seen you at least once a year. In some cases, its every three months, which is B.S. if you ask me.
Be glad that Bush isn't in office any more. Things hopefully will loosen up a little in the coming months.........hopefully.

gary...you are right about that. RHA wants me to have a F2F and that's what I plan to do. As far as getting a direct script sent to you, that opens up a whole other beehive with pharmacies confiscating your Rx and/or refusing to fill it. I won't go that route.

I know nothing about direct scripts I just do the F2F where the Doctor gives you a script and you take it to the pharms of your choice. I've used three different one's none has hesitated. But if the OCS you are involved with cliams to be involved in conjunction with a pharmacy it is a direct violation of the RHA. Don't get me wrong I wish all of you the best of luck getting what you neeed but don't lost refills by some idiots claiming to be PAIN SPECIALIST, or HAVE THERE OWN PHARMACY. The DEA will Bust them.

You have the Option to get the script at your Consult..... or have the Doc Fax it to a Pharm.... that they have and have it shipped to you the Next Day ....That is what the Rep told me.

Actually, the rep. told me I would be receiving a script--even an electronic one if I choose sent to my own pharmacy or I could choose a pharmacy the DOCTOR was familiar with who would fill the script by mailing the meds., at my cost. I chose the latter. I did not feel pushed into it at all. The conversation was all about choices. It is also left up to the doctor whether I even need a follow-up telephone consult in 90 days or 6 months--depending on my condition. I think alot of the follow-up consult issues can be intelligently addressed by the patient. For instance, I plan on getting routine blood work done at 2 months after the F2F and fax the results in so doctor knows liver enzymes are a-ok, etc.

After F2F, it seems to me that it is known of the governments business how it is managed before next F2F required consult.

No need to get into a spitting contest. If an OCS states that you have a choice after being examined by a doctor, to either have a script written and handed to you or using a legal online pharmacy, (there are quite a few legal online pharms in the USA), either choice is perfectly legal. Where is the crime? People have been legally receiving medication thru the mail for years. People who are bedridden, and the elderly for example.
The new law cut down the company's that were involved in dispensing schedule II & III drugs WITHOUT having patients/customers seen by a licensed physician. As long as you see a doctor once a year, he/she can call your prescription into any LEGAL online pharmacy. By legal, I mean the ones that comply with all HIPPA and RHA laws to this date........period! There is no need to be leery about the law. You just have to research and understand it first. If there are changes to the existing RHA laws to date that I am unaware of, and If anyone on this board has heard something new, I'm all ears!

Does anyone have the $25.00 discount code? I was thinking about booking a F2F on Monday.

All of that is true but if this place is so legal why doesn't the Doctor give the the script on the spot. Mine does and I don't want a script that I have to take to a special drug store because the Doctor is hotter than a three dollar pistol.

You have the option of getting the prescription handed to you at the time of the visit and then take it to your own pharmacy.

Ditto! I think the F2F companies need to list the region too.

IL can be very big if you have to go from north to south. That's a very long day for a doctor visit. Too much time in a car for me.

I have read feedback...talked..emailed and tried several over the past 3 years, but this one is by far hands down the best. I had the F2F with a specialist who was prompt, thoughtful, experienced and asked many questions..talked about old treatments, new ones on the horizon...what works and what does not. Issued a script and encouraged me to call anytime for follow-up before next phone consult 90 days out. There will be no need for me to go elsewhere in the future if everything stays the same.

Had my F2F today. All went well. I got a physical / check-up and had my prescription called into my pharmacy. It was a painless visit. The Dr. did request that I get some basic blood work in a month and fax it to him. I think any good Dr. would request the same.

P.S. I never did find that $25 discount coupon.

Poker....congrats on your F2F. I also looked for the discount code and I don't think there is one. They are not listed on the VIP side. I guess they are too new.
I have a tentative scheduled F2F in a few weeks, waiting for exact time.

tee...Yes, it was. The service was exceptional. The individual behind the service appears to be a very astute businessman with a long term business plan. I had a chance to talk to him at length and can report he is very intelligent and understands that his interests are served by providing exceptional service. I could not have been an easy patient either because by the time I traveled to the F2F, I was in excruciating pain because of the travel, which causes me incredible low back pain. Very caring understanding pain specialist. I traveled home and even received a follow-up call from the doctor!! How rare is that these days? The time put in to me personally was way beyond expectations. The only problems to be experienced by this service in the future will be related to what I believe will be significant growth because the service is that good and thoughtful. I certainly have no need to go elsewhere.
