Let me get this straight...for the F2F you pay $299 plus the cost of the medicine? Then each month after you do a teleconsult, paying $199 plus the cost of medicine? I hope I'm wrong because that is ridiculous!

Actually, The Face2Face is $299. Your Rx can be faxed/called-in to any pharmacy to choose(saves $30 shipping each month) and the meds are typically less than $30 at most peoples pharmacies. The tele-consult is $199 and you can also have the Rx called-in anywhere you choose and save the $30 shipping.

Has anyone had personal experience using this service yet? I am considering getting the F2F done when they come through my town, but I'm a little apprehensive. I don't want to pay $300 to be given a script for Ultram and Motrin.

It's a very exciting prospect to see that Doc's are available in Washington State, but at these prices and having to pay in advance.. regardless of how quick and helpful CS James is, I hope people start posting positive experiences, and whether or not they are actually getting scripts other than tram and the like. Fingers crossed realllllly tight.. that we all find help and hope, soon! Many legitimately desperate people are being pushed into a corner.. this is a sad state and all for one understandably grieving Mother who is only pushing true drug seekers further underground and to lethal habits. *sigh* Nice.
Blessings all around.. Lotus

I think it all depends on the doctor. I have heard that the one in my state will script hydro 10's without much trouble (as long as your records and condition warrant it) but he is not handing out 120 counts. I think the most you will get is 90.

Hope this helps.

Are you comfortable with posting your state? or at least the area of the States you are in?

I know it most likely depends upon the doctor, (and then what kind of day they are having, they are only human!)

A 90 count right now would be a godsend! Maybe someone that has seen the doctor(s) can post about whether they have spoken w/the doc about going to a higher count for the pain?- After the first fill?

Thanks Nitemoon for your reply!

Thanks to anyone that will post about their experience also!

Hi James:

Just a couple of quick questions.

My State says "Housecalls in entire State" can you explain that?

Also, Your consult cost is $299. What is the ongoing cost. Did I read it's $199 PER MONTH with each refill after that?

Thank you James.

It feels funny posting a reply to myself but no one has replied to me so here goes.

First, I haven't used this service (yet). I saw the price and felt it was a bit high. BUT, I did the math and found it wasn't all THAT high. Here is my past experience:

I had a normal OCS that shipped my scripts (now defunct and oweing):

1). Consult = $150.00 with 4 fills so (divided by 4= $37.50 per month)
2). OCS monthly service charge was $72.50
3). Meds were $175 shipped

Total MONTHLY cost was $37.50+$72.50+$175 = $285.00 per month

So, If my math is correct, Once you get over the shock of the initial $299 consult cost the monthly cost may be less (or equally) expensive. ie: $199.00 plus local filling would be around $40-$45 (I think) for a total of $240-$250 per month. With the comfort of actually speaking and "Seeing" the Dr/PA seems reasonable in these trying times.

Now if someone from one of the "Housecall visit States" can come on and verify meds prescribed & qty (I would hate to pay $299 for asperin) and "bedside manor" of the PA and any info would be great.

Have valid medical condition, plenty of records. Like I said, I am NOT a patient of DOD nor do I have any other reason for posting this info other than to "get" info to make me more comfortable using them.

Thanks for any info

Thank you for your post.
Call customer service and they will fill you in on the house call doc. I believe the doc will drive almost anywhere in here state to see her patients.
The initial Face2Face is $299 and any Rx is handed to you, take it anywhere to get filled.
The follow-up tele-consults are $199. Rx can be called to your local pharm(meds should cost less than $35) or have the paper Rx sent to you via Fedex(+$30 shipping)

Please give customer service a call they are really great people and love to help \:\)

Has anyone seen the Dr. in the Gulf Coast, Fl. location?
Would like to know if the Dr. will see patients from a nearby state.

I have used this service (not house call) and at first had the same reaction to the pricing. But after breaking it down i realized its not all that bad and very comperable to the OCS i was using. To me the slight increase in cost was worth it instead of sending my money off and praying my meds arrive in a timely manner. After my consult with my local Doc i had my meds in hand an hour later. Peace of mind and the Doc i saw was good.

Yes, this list does help. Thanks, James.

But, if this is the most recent comprehensive list, why do you still have NC as a state that has a doctor on your website? You may want to consider removing that information until you actually have a doctor available.

Maybe someone can fill me in a bit here also. At the initial visit, do you get refills? Or is it monthly you have to speak to the doc via tele-consult (so $299 for the F2F and then $199 a month??). If someone can please give me some info that would be great.

They are set up as a month to month service.
I'm pretty sure they said that's the way they always have been so they haven't changed, just the F2F aspect changed.
