The service I use now is mailing the meds and I noticed they are doubling the price (the actual price of 86 dollars was on the meds but I was charged 180.00) I guess to make more money so I was thinking of looking into another service.
Does this one send a script with 2 refills or do you have to receive another script each month?
I would like to use my mail order pharmacy since I JUST GOT HEALTH INSURANCE. YIPPEEEEEEEE!!!!!!K

Switched from ppc and this worked out much better with no problems.
Mom and pop pharmacy seems the way to go. Plus saving alot at $10 per refill. Hope this model of consult lasts.

They are the best! I was thinking of switching because I wanted to take a break from direct scripts a few months and it was a huge mistake. I was on the Propatient merry go round for a couple weeks only to finally come home to MEC for exceptional immediate service. All these people at Propatient reviews on DB were saying be patient - this is only a glitch... I finally said what am I doing? Leaving a great company for a nightmare? I am so glad I never got my consult there and was able to come back here before it was too late. Their screwups were actually a blessing. I dropped my script off today - and they didnt have enough in stock so will have it tomorrow which is fine - all is great here. MEC is a great service as long as you hav good records. Highly recommended!

I got my consult with MEC - the same day I requested it - never with propatient - I gave up there. I was a prior client so my records were up to date but for a new client you have to fax in your records including proof your regular physician previously prescribed the med you are requesting. I faxed in the label from an old bottle but it has to be your Dr - not an online Dr I'm pretty sure - I could be wrong there but I had a bottle with her name and also she noted it in my records so I think your reg Dr. You also have to do a notarized form basically just saying you agree not to sue them I think. It's on their site. You fax them the notarized form with your records and then when you get your scrip you send the original form back with the fedex guy along with your payment. It's pretty painless (no pun intended). You only have to do it once. The original process took a few days - not long but once you are in the system they are really good. They are just sticklers on dates - which gets confusing because they reconsult early but wont send the new scrip until the date you are due. Then when you get the scrip you fill it at your pharmacy and I think the consensus is as long as you have history with your pharmacy they don't question the out of state scrip - and most dont have trouble evn if the dont have history. I know I just walk in and say I have a refill scrip - they look it up in the computer and see I have been on the same thing so not an issue.

Do you need to wait 30 days to refill as it said on the paper they sent or can you pick it up a day or 2 early. Just easier for me. Original was filled in 10 minutes so I don't think they called for conformation.

i allways wait 30 days! if you go into early, and they do call the doctor ,he will cancell the remainder of your scripts /refills and they wont see you anymore! (why take a chance JMO) they are very strict on there Rules at myeasyconsult

It depends on your state's laws. My state allows you to refill a controlled substance 7 days early but that is the total including refills for instance if I fill my first refill 7 days early I have to wait 30 days for my next refill. If I fill my first refill 5 days early than I can fill my 2nd 2 days early.

So I guess it depends if the pharmacy contacts the doctor for a refill, If not it probably isn't a problem if you wait a few days extra on the 2nd refill so it all adds up to 90 at the end.

well actually in my state it's 83 days - because we get a 7 day grace and it is up to us how we want to break up that 7 days - and the funny thing is I asked a pharmacist once if I could fill early and they said no - but over the years I found it wasn't the case. I have never had a pharmacy call the Dr unless I requested it. If I called in a refill to early they just call and tell me it's too early.

Just had my 3rd consult with MEC. Went smooth as always. I was notified via email through every step, which is nice.

Day 1: Consult
Day 3: Script in hand
Day 3: Script filled without an issue at my local Costco

Hi! I'm a new poster and long time lurker/researcher. I finally decided to go the DS route after getting the runaround from my PCP and a 3 month wait to get seen by a specialist. I have a well documented history of chronic cervical neck pain with associated daily tension/migraine headaches. I was seeing a neurologist monthly for a year, but he left his practice to become a hospitalist (didn't want to run a clinic anymore). Since then I've been bounced around trying to find someone to treat me that actually has some sort of compassion and understanding. I really miss my neurologist, he was a blessing. Anyway, after missing a ton of work going to PT, chiropractors, getting accupuncture, and other misc appointments I decided to try this route. My experience goes like this:

got my records from my neuro's office (same day I requested them)

Monday- faxed records to MEC along with notarized form.
Tues- received email that the PA was trying to reach me (somehow my phone number got messed up).
Wed-consult with the pa.
Thurs-doc reviewed pa's recommendations and my records.
Friday-was notified that I had been approved by the doctor and that my script was on its way.
Mon-received script via fed-ex paid cod with money order. Took script to walmart, filled within 15 minutes no questions or problems. (I live in OK, and have been on this particular med for almost a year, and have filled this med with walmart before so I was already in their system as having been on the medication)

Michele said it would be best to wait for Mon to get script because I was a new patient and if the pharmacy had questions for the doctor they wouldn't be able to reach him on the weekend.

I am very impressed with the professional and compassionate way I was treated by MEC. I didn't have to miss work or wait 3 months for an appointment to see someone. Now I have 2 refills on file at the pharmacy so that saves me even more time. I highly recommend them to anyone, they are totally legit and by the book.

Thanks for reading! I hope everyone has as good of an experience as I did.

Good afternoon,

Just yesterday I had my first face-to-face appointment with Dr Garcia. For the first time ever, I got to meet a doctor who actually seemed interested in my health and well being. Dr Garcia does not seem interested in following a text book, predetermined agenda for back patients. He seems to appreciate that everyone is different.

The appointment was about an hour and a half in length. I arrived a half-hour early to fill out paperwork. Then promptly at appointment time, the receptionist walked me back to the patient room. After taking my height/weight, she left the room, and Dr Garcia was in less than a minute after. He’s a very friendly, personable guy. He first asked many specific questions related to my condition, went over my records, and then proceeded to do a physical examination. After discussing medications and a good plan for keeping me healthy, he even gave me laser tissue therapy! I was surprised by this. I believe he did this as a courtesy since I showed so much interest in it.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

I also had my first face to face appointment recently and it went great. He really is a great doctor who asked alot of questions as well as answered them. This service & Dr. are for those with genuine need. The questions & exam were detailed and extensive. This Dr. is an expert in pain management. I could tell right away his expertise vs. my primary Dr. by the questions he asked and things he told me about myself...where & why I was suffering etc. I brought all my records with me, although I was told they weren't needed. Glad I did as he didn't have a few pages but I don't think it was a big deal.

Some practical info - Do arrive 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork. I used a Walgreens a few miles south of his office just off of I95 (on way back to FLL airport) I ate lunch at a Denny's across the street as I waited for them to fill my scripts. I will get all my refills at my local Walgreens. If you are flying to FLL..schedule so you land 2 hours or so before your Dr. appt. (in case of delays etc.) Fly out 2-3 hours after appt. start time so you have plenty of time to drive, fill, return car. It was a 25 minute drive from FLL to the office in mid-day traffic. I flew down and back (from MDW)in the same day on SW for $205.00..got a car for $15 on Priceline...the whole process could not have been more smooth. This the real-deal for those who are real too.

I looked over the site and they want you to mail your actual ID (drivers license) to them? Did I read that correct? Has anyone done this? Do you get it back with your script?
It makes me nervous having my ID out there, plus it has my soc on it.

Hey i am not sure where you are finding these instructions which tell you to mail or send them your actual ID? Here is the page where the step by step instructions are for this site: Of course you type www. and then: myeasyconsult.com/STEPS.CFM

If you notice in step 3 it says the following:
3. Photo ID (must be current and easily read, enlarge 200% and copy on fine) I must be able to see you and the expiration date and DOB

So you just fax this information... Now my disclaimer is this.... I have never ordered from this OCS> In fact, i dont use a OCS service anymore as I was fortunate enough to get a pain management doctor in person..

I do hope you find what you need.

thanks

I had my F2F yesterday with Garcia and he is no longer scripting hydrocodone. He said the DEA has been after him to the point that they are threatening him. The new pain medicine he is scripting is called nubain abd it works very well. I have severe hip pain and have been using norco for the past 2 yrs thru this site. Nubain is non narcotic so you will not have to worry about getting addicted to it neither will you have to worry about getting high from it so it does not restrict your daily activities.

Are you kidding me? Unless they came out with another form of Nubain then you are not being told correctly.

Nubain is Addictive and it is a narcotic of some form. Are you injecting it or is it in a pill form????

When used for long periods of time or at high doses, Nubain may not work as well and may require higher doses to obtain the same effect as when originally taken. This is known as TOLERANCE. Talk with your doctor if Nubain stops working well. Do not take more than prescribed.

When used for long periods of time or at high doses, some people develop a need to continue taking Nubain . This is known as DEPENDENCE or "addiction."

If you suddenly stop taking Nubain , you may experience WITHDRAWAL symptoms including anxiety; diarrhea; fever, runny nose, or sneezing; goose bumps and abnormal skin sensations; nausea; vomiting; pain; rigid muscles; rapid heartbeat; seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not there; shivering or tremors; sweating; watery eyes; stomach cramps; restlessness; and trouble sleeping.

Think you may have misunderstood or got the name wrong????

I may be wrong on this one! I read some other posts and guess that Nubain may be different then it used to be.

I was given Nubain during the birth of my children. OMG, felt like my head was seperated from my body! lol It really messes me up!

Hopefully it works for you but be careful on the wd and addiction. I just cant see how they could change this drug from its earlier days.

Glad you are getting relief!!!
