just be cautious. i believe it is a schedule II med as just plain codeine, but when one purchases it with the tylenol, it drops to a schedule III. for emergency, codeine is imperative in terms of bronchitis (only take at night to sleep;if one takes it to suppress cough all day, then one can develop pneumonia,) and is better for headaches/migraines than hydro which can worsen headaches in some [but not as good as butalbital, with or without the codeine for headaches/migraines.] If one can get the tylenol #4, 60 mg. codeine, then break in half, one has double the pills of tylenol #3. This does help with pain, but will not give certain effects (at least I don't believe it will) that some people anticipated from the hydro. Another pain killer is talwin, pentazocine, sosegon, schedule IV with tylenol, and it does work, particularly on dental pain. both are cheaper and but for the codeine cough syrup mentioned in the NDS indictment, are under less scrutiny at present.

Had to get Tylenol 3 due to it being so much cheaper than Hydro. How much to compare and also, has anyone noticed upset stomach on it, more so than hydro.
Thanks, ME
upset stomach for me,yes,yes,yes........codeine feels very heavy in my belly. I never noticed this years back, but for some reason now I notice that it makes me pretty nauseous........is there anything that can be taken to help with that?
solpadeine is OTC in the UK, and it is to be tasken as alka seltzer....definately NOT intended to be injected, but I'm not sure if that's even the product in question........
