I signed up this yesterday and have yet to hear anything back. no phone calls or emails. i have not faxed over information to them. am i doing this wrong? i am a newbie, just tryin to learn the ropes. if they are no longer available can anyone reccomend somewhere they have had sucess with? I dont mind overseas. I am looking for hydros for nerve damage, back/leg pains. I understand they are difficult to obtain. i noticed on the other thread someone who has dealt with gettting thier hydro's from over seas but since i am new am unable to post there i guess. thanks for your help.
As of (1/23/2009) I faxed in docs, received call next day (female MD) very through discussion - recieved compund 10/200 hydro #90 (with 2 refills). With the exception of the compund I cannot complan. My prefernce is Lortab 7.5/500 - hard to twell how effective the 10/200 compound is. But thjei site seems to be very much operational and in business.
D2thedork (dp) - they do have a bit of a lag in there phone and e-mail calls. I would suiggest picking uop the phone and calling (I did) - that seems to help keep thje ball rolling.
Does anyone know what is going on with these guys? I emailed them last Wednesday asking if they are accepting new patients. I received a quick e-mail back stating yes and the process I need to follow to receive a consult. I followed that process (filled out registration, faxed medical records and requested a consult via website and e-mail) on Thursday. I have not heard anything from them since my original e-mail. I have e-mailed them again twice and every time I call, the phone just keeps ringing. Any suggestions? Thanks all

Does anyone know if they are using DP(located on east coast) for compounds? I have used them in the past and found they were weak. The only other ones I tried that were not weak were from BP on west coast. Thanks for any help!
I signed up with them. I faxed my records. They emailed me amd told me they need more, I faxed the additional information. They emailed me back and said now they need all of it faxed again.....forget it. My Dr. put me on OC yesterday so I don't need them. It was a stupid idea to begin with.Very costly when you figure it all up.
As I understand a new law takes affect in April so any refills I had with them would be gone and I would have to arrange for a FTF, BIG waste of money. I just talked to my doctor and she was very understanding. She even gave me a card so I can buy brand with $60.00 off.
I am sure that some folks can use the service, they at least answered their emails. They seem like they are pretty safe.

Read these boards quite alot and really hate to sound stupid, however I am going to ask you anyway! Could you please be more specific in telling me (I have noticed in addition to your reference there have been several others specifically mention this as well) exactly what new law will be coming about as of April? I do not mind doing the research myself as to the details, however I do need just a little bit more to go on! :-) Really would appreciate some additional info! Thanks-
One more question, do you know what physician actually prescribes with this site? Not sure, but I THINK this is the site I have used in the not so distant past, but want to make sure if it is not the same site, but possibly the same physician from the place I had my last consult that I at least make mention that I have used this doc so there is not any confusion and they think I am trying to double-dip! I know they can be very funny about that! Thanks again,

The Ryan Haight consumer protection act passed in Oct of 2008 and will go into law on April 15th, 2009. This is the law we all knew would eventually come. All ROPs now will require a face to face consultation. Really ironic because as we all know Ryan was a minor that OD'ed and obtained the meds by lying - but then again, that was when the law wasn't strict (even reckless - in enforcement), not requiring updated records, etc. It just sucks for some b/c they may have pay airfair and other added expenses. As far as myself, it will be almost the same the price as a ROP to take a 2 hr ride to Houston, TX to the one of many doc-in-a box PM doctors that are not affliated with any ROPs. I used ROPs for their conveinence- well, after April - may just take that 2 hour ride! (Unless I can find an affordable face to face ROP in my area)Sad that legit CP pts have to suffer for the greed of the old NROPs - and yes I was guilty too of using said NROPs like NDS and some of the other Saran sites. What is really worrisome is the sites that will start shipping illegally.

Wow! All that information just made my day! (just kidding, of course)Thank you for all of the information....I knew all about this case and all of the rumors that have circulated for quite some time now, however I was not aware that it was actually official. So, now all of these sites (such as the ones Dr. Garcia has) will no longer do any phone consultations once this is in effect? No alternatives being made for the initial face to face consult other than actually going to them in person for a face to face consultation? If that is the case that really complicates everything ----time, money, just overall aggravation to say the least! Really puts great limitations on both ends that is for sure.

Thanks again for all of the details.
I'm curious. What do you think would be a potential alternative for the initial face to face consult required other than actually going in person for a face to face consultation?
The alternative? NONE in unless a person plans to order from an illegal site because starting in April, ALL initial consults have to be Face to Face!
The person I responed to was concerned that no alternatives for an in person consultation were being offered. I was wondering what alternatives there could possibly be. I can't imagine any.

Sorry, I guess I should have seconded your response. My dumb self took it that you were asking a question! I guess the only alternative besides ordering from illegal sites within the US, is to order from an IOP.
I was referring to something I recall reading about sometime ago----home visits were scheduled by maybe a PA in your area and at one time I recall there being a mention of webcam consultations. Just thinking of creative alternatives for people rather than flying to another state until they possibly may have some physicians that are setup in the state you live in. of course, there are always the "other" methods to obtain meds, however that was not what I was asking about.

mterral, I think the reason why they won't allow webcams is because the DEA wants the person to be physically present for the consult with the practioner. However, I do remember some ROPs that used port-a-medics and various other types of home visits as part of their consulting procedure. This is a very good question as to why they don't use this as a means for the F2F consult - the only thing I can think of is it is a lot more profitable if you have the patient visit the practioner vs having the practioner visiting the patient. Good question - I'm going to try to find the answer to this one. But with many years of experience in ROP world, there probably is no good reason!
I have also been trying to reach aps for several days now, through email, many attempts to reach them by telephone and I've left voice messages without any success. Can anyone please let me (as well as others here) when and if they make contact with these guys. Many thanks! Thomas
I went to their website on 2/27/09 and submitted a request for a refill, all seemed fine, the order was suppose to be here Mar 2, 2009. When I went to Fed-X on the day it was to arrive they told me that the shipment had a tracking number to Fed-X but was never given to them. I went home and called them (Tues) and got a hold of someone who told me that they would be contacting the pharmacy that day and for me to check the status of the order via the tracking number later that night. I checked, ...nothing. I called this morning, could not reach anyone, got the machine. When I checked apinsolution's online tracking I got redirected to the Fed-X site. The information had not changed and no new order number was generated. I realize the tracking number would be useless at this point having been due to arrive three days ago, but I did it anyway (conformity). At his juncture I am becoming increasingly suspicious, I am without necessary relief and have reverted back to the sub-quality of life that presents itself absent the meds. Anyone else heard from them?
Got an email response from Apainsolution today, they said "The pharmacy is having an issue with the compounding machine they use , so they got a bit behind. They will ship you out ASAP you are at the top[ of the list. Aps" So I guess if and when I get a new tracking number I will post the results here...
Has anyone been in contact today with APS? I was expecting meds today but I havn't gotten a tracking # and I can't get any one on the phone or by e-mail. Hoping they are just behind like the last post said.
Nothing, I called the number on their web site and no one answers. Its just one of those mechanical recordings that says "hello, no one is available to take your call, please call again." On Monday I will be calling my credit card Co. and filling a retraction so they will pull any payments that were taken since my last prescription refill. Thats one good thing about ordering using a credit card, they can't keep the money.
mpshake, could you pm me or post the initials of the pharm APS uses. I don't use them, but my service also uses a compounding pharm out of CA and my refill should have gone out last week and is not moving and no explanation from my OCS.
I sure hope they get the problem fixed. I will run out tommorow and I am not looking forward to that. I just hope APS lets me know whats going on. If anyone gets any more info please post.
I still can't get a response either by phone or e-mail. Doesn't look good. I am a long time customer and these guys have always come through for me so I'm not giving up yet. Hopefully I will hear something today.
Can someone tell me what pharm APS uses. I think your delay is my delay. My OCS says they will be caught up by Wed. I think they use the same as APS. I want to compare explanations. PM me or post the initials of the pharm, or even just the firt initial.
