14 days and waiting...

How was the package sent? EMS USPS? I have had packages help up in customs but the most was 10 days. I did finally get it. Hope it works out for you.!

I'd say 14 days! it's time to call the number you find at the tracking site, and they can tell you if your item is "stuck", and not being released.

14 days isn't too long, sometimes it could take a month or longer. What is probably happening is they are taking a sample of whatever med you are being mailed, waiting for results, then hopefully sending it along.

Hopefully, but of course it is a controlled substance so I'm fearing the worst. Thanks for everyones' replies, I've been ordering overseas for years and this would be my first seizure I can't complain.

Hey pengirl, you say you've been ordering for years, and this is your first time its taken so long rite? How long does it usually take in your experience? Shortest to longest customs clearance times i mean.

Well I've had one sitting there since 3/3. Don't imagine it will be showing up any time soon.

Said something about writing in to claim it if I wanted to. Otherwise if they didn't hear from me, the contents would be destroyed and the matter would be considered closed.

I've always read how they wanted you to sign it and send it back? Maybe they've changed over time?

I still haven't rec'd a LL, but it has been "reviewed by customs" since Feb. 2 (according to tracking). Obviously I'm not getting it, but I've always gotten expected packages within 2-3 weeks.

I have a package that has been sitting at customs for 11 days now. I wish I didn't find this thread. :P

I've had orders sitting in customs for longer than that and have eventually received so there still is hope that you will get it.

From some place overseas, STILL stuck in customs as of today. Another order from another place has been stuck there for a couple weeks now. This is ridiculous. However Ive had literally hundreds of things mailed to me from overseas from ebay of all shapes weights and sizes and to hte best of my knowledge none of them were ever opened by customs. All hope isnt lost yet, Ive had things mailed form overseas take longer, but its getting tight. Theres 3 packages coming to me i mean one of them has to make it right? if anyone has any similar stories that end happily i really need to hear them now haha.

If you have a tracking number, try the numbers close to yours. If you find they're all still stuck in customs, I wouldn't worry too much.

Had a package show up after one (1) year once.

Ive tried numbers within 10 to 15 of my tracking number and none of them register in the system. Going on a month stuck there. Im beyond pissed. I paid around $350 total for several different med packages, the fact not even 1 has gotten to me yet upsets my a LOT. Its not even about the money, I Need hte medication

Mine is being sent EMS and has been there for 7 days. Longest ever. I am thinking with the the holiday they are really back logged. Then again you never know

Obviously it's from overseas where specifically is it coming from?

I'm also on six weeks. This is RIDICULOUS. I paid for EXPRESS shipping. Just ridiculous.

I ordered overseas once,and it took awhile but was only at customs for 24 hours and then shipped. I think if it's stuck there and for days, that means it will stay there. Contact the merchant and ask them to re-ship it out to you.

I finally did receive it but last week the second half of the order was confiscated. LL letter. The company resent and I still have one now in there for 3 days. I just keep thinking another LL will come. But what can you do but cry and hope

I had A EMS service package that sat at customs in SFC for 15 day's and I thought all was lost then two days latter my package showed up.My mail carrier came to my door and was looking over my package while I signed the slip and I asked her if there was A problem and she said know and told me to have A nice day.Everyone good luck and have A nice week.

Thanks All - I was sitting here wondering the same thing. I've had one sitting there since 6/1. At least now I have a little hope instead of zero hope.

Did you ever recieve yours? I've had 5, yeah count em, Five different orders from 2 reliable places, all with tracking numbers, trapped in customs for..well the longest time, 2 1/2 months now. Ridiculous. I cant take it anymore! i ordered from 2 different places, thinking if 1 doesnt come through the other will. Well they both came through, and got stuck in customs.

After a month, I complained I never recieved my order so they reshipped it. That order has been stuck in customs for 2 1/2 weeks now. I also made ANOTHER order, just hoping the numbers game would ensure that 1 of them would get to me. It didnt have a tracking number, and as of 3 weeks since it was shipped, it hasnt gotten to me either.

Has anyone gone through anything similar to this in ontario, please, tell me of your stories and if you ever got anything you ordered here, especially recently..

I try not to have deliveries sent express because it raises red flags. Regular letters are the best. Tracking just gives me anxiety.

I did make one order with regular mail, after so many people said that was the way to go, and its still not here. Can anyone tell me how long regular mail orders from wholsale usually take to get to Ontario? I believe it was sent out to me on June 17th. And it has yet to get here. Any help with that will be hugely appreciated..

Sorry to hear all of your parcels being held a long time but mine made it through in less than 24 hours.

For all the people who were in a situation similar to mine..waiting on Canada Post to ship your meds..Dont give up hope. It turns out health canada take in almost every med package they can to analyze, but as long as its not a controlled substance, you will eventually get them. In 2 weeks time I got 3 packages of generic Tramadol that ive been waiting on since may/june. So dont give up hope!

Were you charged GST or other taxes?

So i shouldnt bother trying to order in a medication to canada? Its near guaranteed to get confiscated? (yes i dont have prescription... and yes itd be controlled...)

I have a parcel going on 4 days in customs now, express mail from india. Controlled substances. I guess they're maybe taking it in to inspect it if I don't get it in the next few days?

14 days does seem to be along time to be sitting in customs. But i do not think its wise to call and ask about the package.

Also been waiting on a regular mail from thailand since the 9th..

There all working days in customs, and the mail ( USA) does not stop and sit on a holiday, or a weekend, Unless it's at your local post office waiting to be delivered.

You could E-mail or call the IOP, and ask them to check it Asap. The sending IOP usually has more up to date info than the tracking site. Good luck.

EMS does not run real time tracking.
give em 14 to 20 days in total and ignore
tracking info. their system is $hit.

Oh, ok, I'm guessing it's been like 14 business days since it's been shipped or around there, but only like 6 in customs... hoping for the best still

Customs is usually no longer than one day. Track the packages from EMS on USPS once the package leaves china. They will keep you updated. It will provide notice of arrival into the US and so on from their. Really the only thing you learn from EMS tracking is when it left China. The rest of the tracking I did through USPS because the EMS tracking really did not update. Think like biz 5 days after it leaves China(prob two days after package is sent) it will arrive in US customs. Then think 2 days in Customs max. Then think 2 days to deliver in the US. If it is in customer for more than three days, I say it has prob been intercepted.

So the total time from the ship date is approx 9-11 days. I would say this is really the max time also. I could not imagine it taking longer than two weeks. I wonder, does EMS packages travel by boat because it sure does take long to get to US.

I gotta weigh in and say I've never had a package sit in customs for more than 36 hours. It is the holidays though, so there is lord knows how much more mail too inspect. Means your package will sit longer but is more likely too make it probably?

My package from Airmailpharmacy1 has been stuck in Mississauga Customs since Nov' 25th. Should I be worried or is this to be expected with holiday mail traffic?

Jason, honestly I cannot imagine it being stuck that long without some serious reason. Maybe, just maybe it is due to holiday traffic, but I would prob write it off myself.

That's what I'm thinking too, but shouldn't they have mailed me a letter or something if it was seized?

I'm going to place another order with airmail and hope it makes it through, I need my meds soon.

Well, I think it takes awhile before you get the letter, possibly up to a month from seizure. But maybe give it until the end of the week to see if tracking has changed before jumping the gun unles you are seriously low.

I hope people could help me out of this. I am ordering a document which is important and it arrived in Mississauga Customs on November 20th, now is December 4th, but the status I check on Post canada is still "will be reviewed by Customs". I wonder why it would take 2 weeks and still in the customs haven't got reviewed?The document just a letter and why it would take so long? What can I do and is it any way to contact the Customs? It seems Post Canada can't do anything since they haven't got the document from Customs yet. Is it also possible the Customs lost my document?? GOD I am so anxious and expected everyday cause the document is important, i won't use POST CANADA anymore, just fax anything important!

well for the first time in 15 years, the piracetam I ordered from international anti-aging systems did not arrive. I suspect everything is being held up for inspection and all supplements will also be confiscated. So be it. In the long run, I look at it as saving money, I can find supplements here to make up for it But I do feel our civil liberties are being violated, but the reality is that law enforcement has shifted its focus from illegal drugs to prescription drugs, and everything else gets taken with it.

As far as personal mail goes, we have received xmas cards from europe, but there was a note of the weight on the envelope, of course, just a card is way under 30g so customs did not open. If your letter is more than 2 pages of paper, customs has opened it I suspect and there must be a problem, but considering the volume, it will take months before you hear anything.

Leonne, I used nootropil awhile back but stopped after 1 month. Do you think it really works? And what is the change that you have seen?

Nootropics work for me in the long term. There is no high from piracetam but I don't want to get high, I feel good just being normal. I have alzheimer's in my family and the piracetam is a preventive measure, and it works for me. I am very saddened it is not available here.

Well I was under the impression that it could help increase memory and intelligence etc etc. I was more curious if you have found yourself thinking clearer.

there is no high. I like to think that my mind is clear all I can say is that I feel perfectly normal, I don't have any more energy than before, but I am taking it as a preventative measure for alzheimer's. I am old now, but I have seen what alzheimer's can do and I don't want to die that way. Unfortunately, I am showing a few signs of loss of memory, but nothing drastic yet. Piracetam does not hurt me, and i am hoping in the long run it will help. There is no immediate effect so it will not enhance your work performance or anything like that.

This is off subject though. I feel for the people on this board suffering and not receiving their medications. My son-in-law's mother had terminal cancer and in 2000 they did order online some medications from Europe which did help prolong her life. Her family had to do it without the doctor because he not agree or most likely did not want to be bothered with government interference. You see how mean it is for customs to interfere with people's personal life, there are people who are desperate out there.

I think most people on this board are suffering either from pain or from addiction or both, and I hope there will be more physicians with better attitudes in the future but I doubt it. So good luck to you painstaking.

I know there is no high. I am not trying to get high. My teenage days have long since passed. I do however take pain medication for various conditions, but that is totally irrelevant in this thread.

I tried nootropil about 7 years ago because I heard it could help improve memory and focus. I had read up on it, and basically it was quoted as a "smart drug". What I was asking is whether you have had any effect on your mental acuity? I stopped it after a month because I did not see a difference. I know you are taking it for something separate, but I was inquiring whether you had any of those other effects.

On another note, I might be able to help you with the Alzheimer's prophylaxis. If you ask your pcp and discuss this with him/her, I think they would gladly write a prescription for Namenda or one of the other medications. They can be used as a preventative measure and the earlier you start, the better it slows the progression. Just food for thought!

Dear Painstaking, we are taking over this thread so this will be my last post. I did not mean getting high, those were the wrong words, but having seen my husband on oxycotin, he was quite talkative energetic and not really himself but free of pain. He opted eventually for the epidurals so he is also free of drugs now thankfully. He never took the whole bottle of oxycotin because I think he realized what he was doing to him. The pain doctor told us tylenol is still the best for pain no matter what you hear.

As far as piracetam goes, I will know eventually if it works for me. As far as approaching my doctor, it will not work. He runs a clinic, is always in a rush, and makes it perfectly clear that unless you have a condition he can see or diagnose he is not treating or giving any recipes/prescriptions. He also makes it clear he does not buy into people who worry or are fearful or are in mourning. He says that is part of life, so experience it. He has so many patients, he really doesn't care if you stay or leave. So different from the physician I had in my youth.

ok that's it, let's give back the thread to those who are waiting for their medications.

I thought I would post an update on my situation. My package was reviewed by Canada Customs and apparently sent back to airmail1.
At least that's what I guess from this:


I placed another order with them last Wednesday and it has cleared Customs and is on its way. Airmail even said they'd reship my other order.

Those guys & gals are great.
