I don't know if this is the right place for this question but I am new to this. If a drug is otc in Canada do you still need a prescription for it. I ordered generic robaxin from canadapharmacy.com. It was listed under OTC drugs and I was not asked for a prescription when I ordered. I have used this pharmacy for a couple of years but only for my pet medications. I have not received any e-mail from them requesting a prescription and if I check my account it says the order is being processed but there is a note in the margin saying "Schedule 3." Thank you in advance for your help.

Unless there was a recent change that I am not aware of, Robaxin requires a prescription in Canada. Even this website you are referring to indicates that a prescription is required.
Whether they actually follow this requirement is entirely another kettle of fish.

That's what is confusing to me, it is listed under the OTC section of the website and mentions nothing about a prescription. As I said, I have only ordered pet meds from them in the past but one of them did require a prescription and they gave us special instructions on how to have the vet send the script. There was none for this drug.

Methocarbamol is a OTC drug in Canada. You can even get it with 8mg of Codeine without a RX. Methocarbamol from experience is useless so I do not suggest you get it unless you know it works for you.

I see your point. It looks like this website now indicates that Robaxin does not require a prescription in Canada.
It also has a disclaimer indicating that the importation of any medications into the US from Canada is considered illegal by the FDA.

I have no idea what the actual risks are currently regarding the ease of importing meds that are OTC in the country of origin but require a prescription in this country. From reading the posts here on this forum, it appears to me that it would be illegal however.

I've never had an issue with ordering the superior OTC medications from both Canada and the UK.

Only my wife can use the codeine preps, but she gets seasonal bouts of bronchitis and I just recently received the 3.2mg codeine cough medicine from Canada unscathed. They are quite effective.

Yes it's illegal. But this is my wife.

Her PCP wrote her a "prescription" for Robitussin DM. When I presented it at the pharmacy, they said go to aisle 17, take a card and bring it to the counter. They keep the ordinary OTC cough medicines behind the counter now because of that foolish trend of "Robotripping" made popular by rap music.

While I was waiting for them to get around to giving me the Robitussin DM, I picked up a brochure designed for parents to learn what OTC meds in the US had potential for abuse. It was practically as step-by-step primer for minors to find out how to abuse the "good stuff". We have our priorities mixed up here.

My wife is in her 50's and not exactly a drug abuser (understatement).

To spare my wife more suffering than she already endures I'd go "Drugstore Cowboy" if it came down to it.

Something must be done to seperate the need for treatment of ailments befalling our huge aging population from those fools who find "funning" recipes on websites that do not include drugbuyers.com.

I've used CanadaPharmacy for years and they are great. If you look up a medication on their site, they will indicate if it is by prescription or not.

They ship via USPS and are very reliable. It takes a couple of weeks to arrive and they often times have medications available in generic form that are still under patent in the US.

Shipping is $10 per order, or you can pay a $50 lifetime shipping amount, and they will generally give you some perks if you do that, such as discounts on things you buy.

Just received 2 parcels yesterday.
Fenofibrate and Simvastatin
All blisters in original boxes too.
Each blister has 14 tabs hence the odd numbers when you order.
So if you needed 90 tabs they send 84 with six blisterpaks.
Took 2 weeks. So far so good.
