Wow, I'm sorry this happened to you too.
Did you start at 90 and go to 60?
What I want now is an honest answer without paying 200 dollars if he will drop it to 30 next time or at the next 90 day mark or does he leave it at 60.
James can find this out and should let us know.
I beleive something is going on and we should know.

Yes he started me at 90 and only gave me 60 this time. I can't wait till I pay $199.00 for a teleconsult, which will be 3 to 4 days after 30 days are up so Dr. H can script me 4 pills..one per week! I mean if I need more than 1 pill a week I must be some sort of drug seeker!

I read your post earlier when you posted about it and when my rep called me to set up my appt I asked if Dr H reduces the number of pills he scripts. They said they have no knowledge of that!

Not a word from James, and I have noticed he has been mysteriously absent from this forum for about a week. I'm done with DonD- don't feel they are being straight forward about any of this. I'm just sorry that Tango and Oceans had to pay their $200 before they found out they were only getting 60. At least he (dr.H) bailed out altogether in MN before I was charged and then informed my amt would be dropped!

Heard from James today (sunday!) and he said to call CS tomorrow. I doubt that I will get any new info, but what the hell, right? Maybe this guy will at least be honest.

So tjg what happened? I've been checking back to see if you posted and I'm just so curious to know.
The Dr. called me in a different med than the one I reacted to strongly to. I still haven't picked it up since it's almost 30 miles away each direction.
I hope things worked out for you.

I never called. Have just given up on DonD. If I have time next week, I'll sit on hold with CS so that I can hear the same lame explanation from a different guy. For now, I am working on obtaining a new provider. BOO to Dr. H for hanging us Minnesotans out to dry, and BOO to DonD for wimping out and pussyfooting around the real story! BEWARE!

Have they gotten a MA doctor yet, paid for my consult $299, then the doctor quit two days later. They have been saying they are going to get a new one for three months now. Anyone else having this problem?

I must vent some here.....Tomorrow will be 4 days that I have been waiting for my doctor's phone call. Also I waited 2 and a half days for my PAR (or whatever their called this week). This really sucks because you diligently have the phone attached at your hip so you don't miss the doctors call. Today I sent an email to my great PAR and asked about what was going on.....naturally no response. I hate it when people don't think my time isn't as valuable as theirs......eeEErrRRRRR!!!! phone

Update.....Naturally on day 4 I am at my son's football game and the doctor calls. Luckily she didn't want to have a long chat because it was hard to hear her....finally completed for another month!

Just send them an e-mail. Very nicely tell them you are going to do a charge back to your credit card due to them not completing the terms of the sale when you charged the face to face.

In the e-mail, say that you have called them, and that each time you called, you got voice mail. Say that you never received a call back from them. Remind them that you left your cell phone number each time and instructions to call you anytime (as I am sure you did).

If you are using web-mail (i.e. Hotmail or Yahoo) make sure that you CC or BCC a copy of the e-mail to yourself.

Being beligerent does nothing. Also, when you do the chargeback you may need the e-mail as documentation.

And tell them you want a full refund. Not half, but all of it. If they refuse, just do the chargeback. If they say they WILL give you the refund, reply back, again CC'ing yourself, and tell them you want to know when the charge will be removed. If they get cagey, again, just go to the credit card company.

I assume these places expect to have a certain percentage of folks who do not do the chargeback because they are embarassed. Why is that? You wanted a consultation with a doctor. You did not get one. You want your money back. End of story.

Good luck!

This place is very expensive compared to other places. Unfortunately they are the only ones in my area at this time. But do your research there are cheaper places by half! Personally I believe their CS leaves much to be desired. As the previous poster stated you never know when they are going to call and it is anywhere from 2 to 4 days after putting the request. The money they are charging they should at least give you a time and stick to it! IMO

Chris - yes, what "regular" doc would just diss you? Have you ever made an appt with your doc and it simply didn't happen? You go in and the doc is "absent". No. Unprofessional to say the least.

I have had good comments for DOD in the past. James was a big part of that. He hasn't "been there" for a few. Don't know why, but in the end it doesn't matter. IF this a professional service, you don't act like this. Y'all make your own conclusions.

It is SO frustrating to me (and I know it is worse for the patients) to hear of these stories. And don't give me that tired line of "we don't control the docs". So, just WHAT do they get paid for? OK, rant over. I'm sorry that anyone has to deal with this - fill in the blank.

Hey guys,
Any problems with docs not calling patients or not calling scripts into pharmacies are the physicians faults 99% most of the time.I know my company has its faults or short comings but as much time as customer service spends helping patients on the phone, i spend trying to keep the docs doing their jobs. Yes that is what we get paid for, but no one at Delta Health wants you to be out of meds, have a physician not show up and/or have an unsatisfactory experience.
We have been calling patients in areas where we do not currently have physicians to ask if we COULD get a physician in their area would they still be interested. We have not set any appointments or taken any money from anyone where we do not have a physician.
I apologize to those that have been put out or have been mislead in anyway.

Thank you
James

Thank you James. You have always been responsive and this must be a highly frustrating state of affairs.

I could tell you some stories about docs I've seen. Ohh, yeah. And, if I get you right, you deal with this day and day out. I am so sorry that you must deal with this. Especially when you have little to no control.

Thunder and lightening. YES! Hang in there James - it is GOOD when you come on the board and converse with patients. I think most people are OK if they are kept informed. Even if it is not exactly what they want. That's all you can do, right? State the facts.

Advice alert: don't make promises unless you KNOW they can be kept. Just state the facts. Patients will deal. It will make your job more manageable. Yes, there will be a few, but most will understand if they KNOW what is happening. 'K? Then you won't yell at your wife when you get home (kidding here). Or kick the dog.

OK, said my piece. Be well, James.

All the people at customer service really try to help everyone and make everything work smooooooooth. It makes their job way easier and patients are more pleasant aswell. When Customer service finds out that a doc "took the day off" or "didnt call any Rx in today" they brace for impact. All's we can do is call the doc and remind him that these are his patients and they need to be handled professionaly and in a timly manner. Sounds good huh, but docs dont think that way typically. Most of the time it's 2-3 docs out of 20+ that cause the problems and we do our best to replace the doc or make him understand what is expected.

Thanks
James

A tough job you have, James. Good luck telling a doc anything. But your efforts are appreciated. And your honesty is doubly appreciated. Like I said - while a patient may want a better answer, an answer is always appreciated. Remember this.

Keep up the good work. I'm pulling for you.

Great site for degenerative-disc-disease

http://www.spineuniverse.com/degenerative-disc-disease/condition-center/

Degenerative disc disease (DDD) usually affects older people because it’s caused by the effects of aging on the spine. The intervertebral discs can become stiff and rigid, causing pain and other symptoms. However, there are many treatments, including physical therapy, medications, exercise, and surgery.

Well if I was anyone in Ohio I would not use Doc on Demand, period. This is my last Teleconference since I was told I have to be seen again in the Doctors office or find a pain clinic next month.
This happened after waiting since Thursday morning for a consult.
So I will pay 200 dollars to wait 5 days for a call next month to be told what appointment he can find for me? He said he knows of some good pain clinics in Columbus. So why is he with DoD? This is just stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess he should watch that power point presentation again.
So what happened to every 12 months? By the way the RHA Law states every 24 months.

After 90 days your dosage is reduced and I guess after that 90 days you are done or go back for another F2F since now he needs to see you again. Or wait you find a Pain Clinic. I did that, the Doc knew that, he knew I reacted horrible to the shots in July. I can produce these records if asked. I told him I'm going to start water therapy soon so he knows I'm trying to help myself, but no that wasn't good enough. Yes, I'm very annoyed!
I know it's the Dr. Patient relationship and the Dr.'s choice. I bet everyone will have this happen. The reduced medication happened to others on the same schedule so I'm not just talking about my Dr. patient relationship!
I live 3 1/2 hours away from Columbus each direction, so going yearly I could work out, every 6 months I can not especially when bad weather starts heading in around that time. I have young children. Again this is STUPID.
I PM'd James a week or so ago asking to see how this Dr. works after the second 90 days since he said he works with the Dr.'s and I just knew something would happen around that 90 day mark which is next month for me. James said he would look into it than told me to just ask the Dr. since it is part of the Dr. patient relationship.
So I believe again DoD knew this was coming. Since they won't fess up I'll let all the Ohio people know in advance to save them 200 dollars and give them time to find another service. Phone consults has a Dr. not far from Columbus. I'm trying to make sure it's not this same Dr. I will post if it is or isn't when I find out. They are cheaper and I think you get refills so this monthly nonsense stops!
You pay Doc On Demand more for the first visit so you can pay less every month for a year for help with documented CHRONIC PAIN!. Remember I pay 200 each month on top of the 300 I paid for the F2F which was supposed to be good for A YEAR! I can not be the first patient hitting their second 90 day mark for them not to know what's going on. At least now I know what's coming at that second 90 day mark. Now everyone who reads this from Ohio knows.
Do I get some money back? I bet not!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way I'm on day 49 so I never called or asked for an early consult even with the reduced medication count.
Shame on Doc on Demand for allowing people to be sucked into this and be taken for all their money.
You were supposed to help, this is no help, this is stress on top of knowing I have no help next month now after I took all that time going to columbus months ago. Again shame on you! Please do not say, "we know this Doc is tough and we are currently looking for a new one".
What more am I supposed to do to satisfy your Doc?
I had my Mammogram, I take the new meds ordered that made me sick, I never called early, I'm always pleasant, I try to help myself with therapy but I guess I'm done now!
STAY AWAY!

Yes, please keep us posted on your experiences with these places & docs! I have my first experience w/ a local referral for pain management at Thanksgiving & I maybe thinking about other places, if I don't go ahead w/the recommended surgery!

We have been looking for more physicians in that area for a long time now. There is little choice for services like ours. If it were so easy to find fantastic physicians then every service would have multiple states. That is not an excuse for this particular physician, but we cannot make him do anything. Most patients are happy to see him the first couple of months but it seems that he likes to reduce the amount of meds over time. I dont know what percentage of the time he does this but that is between the physician and the patient. I would love to find a new physician. If anyone has any good ideas i am open to them.

Thank you
James
