All, Received no tracking from SVS. UPS showed up on Friday late. Needless to say I had to have them hold it for me until I could get a MO on Monday. Cost was $250.00 for consult and 2 refills. There is a few bucks savings depending on what you are receiving but truthfully it is a wash. If you have insurance it obviously will be greater. If you don't mind the time and frustration of filling your own scripts this is the way to go. Personally, I hate UPS and really could set my watch by Fed Ex and preferred having my meds delivered.

Well, after days, and hours, no SVS, no UWM, no BMD. But I finally seem to have success with SWMG. All steps completed, now waiting for delivery. Real website, real email, real people, real phone numbers.

I personally have had a great experieince with Special Value Services. Got records over, got a consult, got the script, had it filled with no problems. The doctor even changed my script after I got more records over to him showing dosage and milligrams and sent me over 1 new script with a larger quanity for the month. It did take a little time to get the new script, but that was alright I understand they are busy and I am not their only customer. Customer service with SVS was GREAT! They were real nice and very promt and understanding! I will use them again! I dealt with Julie and she was cool even their doctor seemed nice and understanding! I hope I will get the same great service for my reconsult. I will let you know!

Alright, I have been set-up for a re-consult for about a week now and nothing. I keep getting told that the doctor will be calling and after waiting ALL DAY by the phone nothing. However, he did call ONCE on Monday(Memorial Day) which who would of thought he would call on a holiday so needless to say, I was not by the phone and he never tried calling back. Julie and Jen seem alright but I wish they could give me an idea when he might call and stick to it. I am starting to get discouraged. Anyone have good luck with any other company? When it says consults same day on the web-site, I would plan on waiting alot longer! Also, if you use them, you are stuck in some sorta database and cannot go with another company unless your refills are totally up and/or they verify otherwise. So it is a big hassle if you want to go with another company and they know who, when, and where you dealt with. Anyone have an ideas on this? I will keep you all posted on what happens from here.

Jen finally called me and we straightened things out somewhat. Says she is waiting for script from Dr. and then will mail it out. I will see how long it takes from here. The last time the script came within a few days. Doctor has been sick so that explains some of the delay. I am glad they finally called me back to straighten things out. I still think they are nice and hope all goes well from here.

Ive been around the block for sometime, but have to admit, I have no idea who to use (several bad experiences over the past few months)......don't want a direct script, and go into walmart and have them tear up the script.......don't mind paying exhorbitant prices if the ROP is legit, is performing, has decnt C/S etc.......can anyone direct me to a good outfir that's ben around more than one month, and has good feedback......I know we're all wondering as well, but I'm out of options, and about out of meds
HELP, please, please, please

Special Value Services looks like it has been in business since at least 2005. However, it is direct script, but Jen told me they now have a compund pharmacy they are using which is quite expensive. My medication is about $40.00 and from the pharmacy they use it was about $190.00. They are real nice and seem to value their clients. I am suprised Walmart ripped up your script. Their scripts are from an actual doctor and are legit. I have used them twice now and have not had any problems getting them filled. They do call the doctor to verify since it is out of state which has not been a problem for me. Good Luck!

I used to use SVS with great luck. Then, they told me I needed updated records, this was a few years ago before I started sub. but know, my situation has changed and I am thinking on going with a ROP for some hydro, the pain is keeping me up at night and making my days rough. But my records really only show a docs visit for anxiety which he gave me valium for. Would this be enough for them or have they become more strict ?
I was told before that I just needed updated records which I do have, but it doesn't say anything about my back pain.

I have just signed up with SVS, did consult and am now trying to call customer service but cannot reach anyone. It seems that their phone numbers are no longer active which seems very strange because I called yesterday and spoke with cs about my order and was told to call again today for a tracking number. I really hope I haven't been scammed. My whole order is COD so I'm not out any money yet but they do have my personal info, DL# and such. Can anyone please tell me how to get in touch with SVS customer service. One # has been disconnected and the toll free # is some guys personal phone. Has anyone else run into this problem with SVS? Any help with this matter will be greatly appreciated.

I just had a consult. Everything happened very quickly. I was on the phone with a doc within hours of getting my records in. The pharmacy (compound) was supposed to send out the order with a saturday delivery and failed. They did not email a tracking number. The order was short one pill. After having bad back pain and experience with similar brand-name/generic medicine, this stuff was bunk. I'd be surprised if it was anything more than tylenol. I am quite angry. I have emailed CS who has been very good at communicating. I will post an update with the outcome. I certainly hope it is positive and not just $$ down the tube. It seems like this may be a fluke since everyone else here has had better luck.

Jeez that is bad.
Can you tell me or PM me the name of the pharmacy?
I know that one pharmacy doesn't make good compounds at all.

Attached is an article on compounded medications that states that 1/3 of them that were tested contained less ingredients than they were supposed to. Many have bacteria causing infections....eeeewww. I think my confidence in compounded meds is shot. I wish I had read this before. I hope SVS updates their website so others can make informed decisions.

I don't think I can get PMs but the place is based in Tampa. I would definitely avoid them. SVS's cust service gals have been very nice and easy to get a hold of so if a DS is an option for you based upon where you live and if you can afford the fees, you may consider them a viable option but I'd highly advise you to avoid the compounded med option.

Honestly, I could have told anyone this. Compound are just a way for E_pharms to increase their bottom line. Order them and you will get ripped off!

I feel safe to bet, 98% of the compounded hydro ordered through an online consulting service, the customer is going to get shorted !

I am a living testiment to this and would never accept a compounded med online again. I have been burned 100 % of the time and just as soon have nothing for FREE!

If this seem unreal, start a pole and let others comment. I believe the vast majority will be eager to say how bad compounds ordered online are!

Man. Too bad I didn't see that coming. Well, lesson learned. Hopefully people seeking to use their service will read this and make a good choice. They are giving me my refills via DS but I have to wait 30 days before I can fill anything. So in the meantime, I am stuck with a sh%^^y back ache, arthritis, and these bunk pills. They never commented on my remarks that the medicine was of poor quality. I would think that if they thought otherwise, they would have made an effort to "alert the pharmacist/doctor..." so that there could be more oversight on their quality control or something. You guys have decent luck with Direct scripts? I'd hate to bring something into a pharmacy, have the doctor on some watchlist as they may be since all they do is prescribe these sorts of meds all day, and have some large steel cage with a siren atop it drop down over me.

So I received a call from the pharmacy in FL where the compound was filled. It was at least encouraging they were concerned that I didn't trust their product and tried to make it right but SVS had already come to an agreement to send out a prescription that I could fill locally. Therefore, I declined the offer to try a compounded medication again. I had it filled at my own pharmacy and all is now well. Thank you to SVS and Jenn for following through with great service. They do hope to have a regular pharmacy to deal with within a few months but until then, requesting a direct script is the way to go.

Glad to hear it worked out for you.

Do you mind giving us the initials of the Dr's name?
Not his/her full name.
But teh first and last initials?
There are a few Dr's some of us had bad luck with.

Thanks!

I have tried SVS several times now. Their compounds do seem weaker. Also casing can irritate stomach. Pharm label says Tampa. My name was wrong on bottle. That makes me think information isnt transferred all by computer.

Hello all. My mother in law is waiting for her OCS (ppc) to come thru, but they are having trouble. She is worried about using a DS place, but this one seems to be good as far as the posts. I am trying to help her, as she works full time (in another state) and I am on bedrest, and a member of this forum, so I am trying to do the research for her and find her a good place. The one I am using is not doing consults for new patients due to the upcoming changes, so she can't use mine. I was wondering if someone could pm me the initials of the doc they use. She has used a few that her local pharms will not accept, as they are "flagged" in her state. I also read that they do offer compounds from their pharm. Is this correct? She said she emailed them and they say DS only. Again, she is weary of using DS after having her scripts rejected in her town. I just want to find out more information for her so she can make an informed decision. What pharm do they use for the compounds? Can someone pm me some extra info who have actually recieved and filled their scripts? Looks like all the OCSs are about to go down soon, unless they switch to face to face. I am also looking into them for myself in case I need them in the future. Thanks in advance. Please PM me any info!

Anybody know if they use Dr.G, Dr.F, or Dr.L? I know these are flagged in her state. Please PM me any info, as her site is shutting down and she needs to switch to a new one asap. Please PM if you have any info.

Also, is this site soley using direct scripting or do they also have a designated pharmacy? Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated.
