I have been using the doc for awhile. I have had one problem, one time at one mom & pop. And I think that they had gotten in some trouble with the DEA concerning a local doctor and decided to really crack down on what they would fill. I have used a few different pharmacies, and in my opinion, places like WalMart or Costco are the way to go. Of course I live in a mid-size city and there are a lot of pharmacies to choose from, so maybe that makes it easier than living somewhere that has one or two pharms.

I have never had a problem with a Dr.G. script either.

Maybe some posters are counting a one or two day delay at the pharmacy as a problem? Much better odds in my opinion than lost meds by shipper, two week pharmacy delays, or closed pharmacies with lost refills.

I think if they could not get it filled because they took it to the pharmacy after hours or on a weekend, but had it filled as soon as verification was available, that is not really a problem.

So we cant count those patients as really having problems.

Statements made by pharmacists about them needing to ask someone else a question before filling, but then doing so and then filling the script, I do not feel should count as a valid problem.

When someone gets their script, and "internet" or some such other tag appears on the paperwork, but does not interfere in the process, including subsequent refills, then do we really have a problem?

I heartily disagree with Littlereds claim tht everyday someone new is having trouble filling scripts from this doctor. I believe our count is at 3? If you do not count the occasional 36 hour or less delay some have had to experience, all others have had their scripts filled in a timely manner.

I am also under the impression that of the 3 we are aware of, their individual services reimbursed them?

Why the continual doomsday comments from non-users?

It was asked why I keep emphasizing which negative comments are coming from people who do not use direct scripts.

So perhaps I should explain my persistence.

If someone who disliked all online services but has never used one constantly advised against them in the individual threads about them, would you not feel the need to clarify that information? It could be very misleading to someone new here, to see multiple negative/warnings about a service, posted by the same people whenever the service is mentioned.
Common sense would lead you to believe that person had experience trouble at the hands of said company.

When such misleading statements are made, it invalidates the feedback we each give on the services here.

I would be offended if negative or positive feedback was removed about companies, because it would call into question the integrity of both this site and the companies themselves. In the same vein, if inaccurate, misleading, or wrong conclusions are left unchallenged by those who do use the companies, is that really honest?

Maybe some do not want others to know how great a service is, so they do not post glowingly about their choice. Others just never post when things are great, only when they hit a glitch or have a problem.

I would advise anyone who is really worried about these so-called everyday problems to research the posts where they are mentioned, and check in to how quickly the problems were resolved, if indeed they existed in the first place, since most reported were just expressing an unfounded concern that there might be a problem.

it seems to me that many people who uses the services this doctor uses have had overwhelming success according to the amount of positive reviews on this board. it also appears that most of the posts stem from one person (of the total three as it was pointed out) who had a negative experience make claims that it has so far turned out to be unsubstantiated.

if this doctor is under investigation, why are there people still posting on this board every other day at mininum stating how they were able to fill their prescription?

because everything is cool.

edit: i've stated this before and it was deleted, but am i being paranoid when i ask why is it that this doctors name is getting full blast from folks here? ive never seen any other name in threads, besides ones who have beenbusted and not successfully working, being posted so much. it seems as if his name is purposely being thrown out there for a reason. or maybe i'm paranoid like i said, or not...

LittleRed, I agree that I have also read more problems in regards to Dr. G.....Not necessarily on this thread, but in the "entire" forum, so to speak. (with that said, it is a combo. of people having problems that get resolved and the rx filled and others, as myself, whom had problems and could not get their rx filled) (MEC also told me that the situation I went through happens maybe once every few weeks or so) (I have it posted some where on this board, when she told it to me.....I wrote it that day, so I hope I am remembering correctly)

Yes, there are problems good and bad that are not posted here.......I didn't think what happened with me would happen, but guess what......it did.......very unfortunate and it could happen to ANYONE........

With that said, I also believe that the pharmacist plays a MAJOR role as to whether they want to fill the rx or not and cause problems that are un-necessary.......

I know when I posted my "experience", I told it, as it was told to me, by the pharmacist........No lies, no adding things, etc.

My Easy Consult DOES have great CS.....Michele is awesome......she is definately a major part of their success.......

I hope things continue to work out for you ones that are receiving and having no problems.......keep your fingers crossed that you don't have problems ;\)

I have a different question if someone can help. How long do you have to wait for a re-consult (2nd one)? Is it 90 days from the shipment of the 1st script?

My first consult with MEC was 3/31. I had the script in hand a few days later.
Went to Walgreens, no problem with the pharmacist.

MEC emailed me to set up a reconsult for 6/20.
I was approved by the doctor and the script was sent today, and I am set to receive it tomorrow (6/27.)

Hope this helps.

MEC was very professional, from start to finish, both times.

I am going back to Walgreens with the script tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes.

Update: As stated above, I went back to Walgreens to fill my reconsult prescription. (That is where I had the original filled 3 months ago.)

Not a single problem. I gave it to the pharmacist, they looked me up in the computer, and told me it would be ready in an hour.

I came back and hour later and picked it up.

The reason I went back to Walgreens was because it was where I got the first one filled and had a history with them. Otherwise, I probably would have gone to a Mom n Pop pharmacy... but in this case, it was cool.

UPDATE...I received an email on Sunday morning reminding me of the consult Sunday night. Sunday afternoon I received a phone call from Michele letting me know that the phone calls for the re-consult would start within 20 minutes. SHe is one of the most pleasant, friendly people that I have ever spoken to. About a 1/2 hour after that call, I received the call for my re-consult. Everything was smooth & Michelle said that I should get the script by Wednesday or Thursday. MEC has not let me down yet! Even though sometimes they do not answer the phone or emails right away, they do what they say they are going to do. If you don't get an email answer quickly, don't get discouraged.

Hey there - just so you don't get disappointed let me mention where I am right now. First thing - they are a great company and more by the book than my regular doctor! In NY they are very strict with controlled scripts and time so if I have a full script - I can ask my Dr to post date my script so the pharmacy wont think I am double dipping. MEC is being really careful with the 90 day script thing and won't post date (not that I would expect them to do that). Anyway I had my reconsult a week ago Sunday and was really worrying as I got no news. Finally I heard back Friday where the Dr was just reviewing that day and the hope is that I get my script tomorrow which is the 88th day. I am praying it comes through because it takes my pharmacy 2 days to get in the stock. I am already rationing which isn't easy because I injured my lower back as well this weekend which is in addition to my upper spine chronic injury. I think the early consult gave me a false sense of security so I am going to be much more careful with dosage from now on and am stashing a couple weeks supply over the next 3 refills so nothing like this happens again. This is by no means Easy Consult's fault - it's me leaving a couple pills in handbags or pockets and washing them - me being careless. I actually think they are smart doing consults early. Just know the Dr will not even review the PA's consult until it's actually due. Now I don't know when your script was due so you may be right on target with your Wed/Thurs expectation but if they scheduled your consult 2 weeks early like mine just plan for it. This is an important lesson learned for me and as I said - My Easy Consult is being totally fair so far.

I am very careful with sticking to my dosage because I am aware that myeasyconsult sticks to the 90 days in between consults. I also know that the Doc will not write the script until you are due. 90 days is exactly Thursday for me so that is why Michele said maybe Wed or Thursday. I actually had my consult a little later than usual. I think that is why some people get frustrated because they have their consult early & then expect to get their script a few days after, when in reality it all depends on your actual 90 days. I think it is great that MEC is a stickler for this.

Just wanted to note I got my script today - took it to my reg major chain Pharmacy and all was great. As long as your records are good and updated- and you watch your dosage and realize even if consults are early - your script will not arrive early, you will be very happy. You can tell they are cautious and strict but I would rather a company like that, that wont be shut down than another that isn't so strict.

Hi...yes, I received the tracking number on Tuesday late afternoon at about 6:00 PM. Received the script in hand at 11:00 AM from fedex on Wed. I was a little concerned as my regular pharmacy was CVS & MEC included a letter with my script this time around saying that we could not take the script to any CVS or Walgreens. I called my Target & they said they accepted out of state scripts & I went to my nearest Target. I had my script filled in about 1/2 hour...no questions asked. THANKS so much MEC! You are great!

Hi Guys!
I have been on this site for a couple years, but usually don't comment.
MEC actually asks in their email to comment if you have any association with this site, so her goes...........

This was a re consultation for me. They asked me to fax a paper that was sent in the original order, just reviewing my information. After I did that, (in the morning) I was scheduled for a consultation. I asked for a rough estimate as to what time she would call, and they couldn't give me that. Michele said I was on the list and she couldn't even guess.Within 2 hours, the PA called. She was very thorough, and it was quite obvious she had my records right in front of her. She asked a lot of questions, and even suggested some other forms of treatment I could try. She gave me a couple names of therapists in my area and a site that I could search to find more. She said she would approve my medication.
The next day, in the evening, I received an email stating that the doctor had reviewed, and approved my medicine, and a tracking number. This company is very thorough, and definitely play by the Rules. I like this, it feels much more legit, and I am very comfortable with that.
FEDEX was at my door the next morning. It went very smooth.
So basically, got consult right away,
then the PA sends her notes to Dr for approval
Dr approved
MEC mails script.
Easy, as long as your records are approved.
I think this place is great for chronic pain sufferers, but not so great for anyone just looking for a quick fix.

Hope this helps someone.
Michele responds to all email, and she seems very professional.

Just had my 3rd consult with MEC. Went smooth as always. I was notified via email through every step, which is nice.

Day 1: Consult
Day 3: Script in hand
Day 3: Script filled without an issue at my local Costco

What does everyone think about the new requirement for face to face consults with the doc? Florida is a long ways to travel for some of us, but I plan on making that trip. This company and doctor has been just too smooth, and customer service oriented to pass up.

Anyone else going to make the trip?

Less of a pain to me than having to reconsult 3 extra times in six months because an OCS lost their pharmacy!
At least I actually have gotten all my fills.

Me too, I felt more comfortable when I went to DS
because I knew my local chain pharmacy would not have problems
Filling all the local scripts or go out of bussiness overnight.
Plus it was nice paying $30 or so as opposed to $100 plus
Shipping($25) to have the meds delivered by who knows who.

I'm surprised we have not heard about delivery companies
Being burgularized or even robbed. At such locations
Near IOP's, Compounding Pharms and mostly large Mail
Order facilities!!!
