As you can see from the link above, their site is still operational? I also didn't see any news posted on the site and didn't receive any emails from the captian?

Can you tell us more about this? Got any links? Share the email you received? Anything?

We have no news or link to any bust in this case... but they closed and this was pretty much their closing announcement:

 Quote:
I write to report on behalf of our doctor that he is currently unable to offer
his medical services. It is with great personal sadness as a liaison to the
doctor and clinic that I must report such news. The doctor will communicate to
his patients in due course as is appropriate. My personal regret is that these
vital medical services are no longer available to those who have a valid medical
complaint and have developed not only a valid doctor-patient relationship, but a
personal one with the staff. This action has been taken by the usual
intervention of non-medical regulatory authorities who see to it that medical
decisions are made not by the doctor, but by a non-medical administrator. The
staff has great personal sadness. I feel a horrible sense of abandonment to
those who have come to rely on this service for valid medical treatment. It was
the intent to always provide appropriate and legal medical care in the normal
course and I am so sorry to have to report this news. I hope those who suffer
from medical ailments can forgive this failure of a medical system that seems to
allow universal medical care to remain not a National dream, but a National
disgrace; a disgusting failure of the system. This is an outrageous failure by
State and Federal officials. Please accept our prayers and contact us for
anything we can do. Our patients will be contacted by the doctor. I am so sorry.
He tried to help in accordance with his legal and ethical medical obligation and
will now face great difficulty for him and his family. All those who suffer and
do not have the access to compassionate care are in our thoughts and prayers.
You are not alone. You will never be alone. I am so sorry. I am so sorry for
those who are denied access to adequate medical care. I am so very sorry. On
behalf our staff who have served, God bless. God bless. Take care of each other.
I am so very sorry.

Bill

Anybody heard anything about Madison Pain Clinic?
I just heard from a friend they were shut down, and they seemed so strict and thorough, with sending EMT's to your house for physicals and regular drug testing.
I never went to them because they had Rules that seemed to difficult and strict.
Any info?

I wanted to let Everyone know what happened to these 2 OCS's If You Don't Already Know.. Admin Wanted Me To Post For All To See:

1.(Meds in 24 hours) closed last Nov.
2.(Personalized rx) closed in April..
3. There Were A Few Others That He Consulted For 1 being RexRX. & GulfSide Medical, I Forget The Others..

I Worked For Meds In 24 Hours & A Few Others Doing Their Computer Work & Some Marketing..
To My Knowledge Neither One Of These Were Busted..
Dr. Gerard Romain Owed Over $100,000 In Shipping Cost With Fed-ex & UPS, Had A Lot Of Personal Issues, And Was A Horrible Biz Owner.. This Only Got Worse With Time Which Cause The Closing Of These OCS's..
I Walked in For Work On Morning And Was Told To Leave That We Were Closed!!
I Just Didn't Want To Post This & Have People Mad @ Me On The Board because I know Dr. Romain Left A Lot Of People High & Dry,Including Me & He Was My Personal Dr. In Tampa!
Thanks & Have A Great Memorial Day Weekend!!
Drew

Sure about that? Domain expired, appears to have been renewed.

In addition to the standard OCS interface, they have a statement on the site about moving toward face to face. Never visited the site before myself, so I can't say if it's new.

Hopefully, more sites will adapt to the reality of this misguided, inevitable, "feel good" law which punishes only the sites that for the most part attempted to act responsibly during a very long "grey area" period.

So we'll have face to face plus a plethora of sites that fulfill all the lies and distortions the media and politicians are excellent at dispensing.

Learned a long time ago first hand, how both the media and politics are dirty businesses that have zero regard for little things like "facts".

The law is not in effect yet, they kind jumped the gun without giving patients a chance to taper. That is really not fair. It did not need to go down that fast unless there is something more to it that I am not aware of.

Doesn't it take 180 days after the bill is signed to go into effect? So that would give people 6 months to figure something out. At least that is what I am hoping.

Well, I'm not sure if the following was ever mentioned. It wasn't that recent, and although the site was occasionally mentioned at this forum, I don't think that much attention was paid to it relative to other sites.

So, I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed.

There was a Louisville, Kentucky based company called Science of Better Living ("S B L" (,llc)), and its website was called dietprescriptions(dot)com. The website (an NROP) sold controlled, non-narcotic diet medications including phentermine (C-IV), Didrex (C-III), and Bontril PDM (C-III).

On April 9, 2009, The United States Attorney's Office, Western District of Kentucky, Department of Justice, issued the following press release: http://www.usdoj(dot)gov/usao/kyw/press_releases/PR/20090409-01(dot)html. According to the release, Dr. Senler was scheduled to be sentenced on July 8, 2009, although I can find no information on the Internet regarding that sentencing.

About S B L
Dietprescriptions(dot)com was different from other NROP's in a number of ways. It was the only NROP that I had ever seen that actually sold brand name Bontril PDM 35 mg. (Many sold the 105 mg. extended release formulation as a brand name product, while others sold phendimetrazine tartrate 35 mg., but only generically.) Also, the medication bottles that were used made no reference to the name of any prescribing doctor. No pharmacy name was shown on any bottle either, except for www.dietprescriptions(dot)com. However, patient's name and dosage were shown, and the words, "Federal law prohibits dispensing without prescription" were on the bottles. Also, the drug manufacturer's name, city, and state were provided on the bottles. Basically, the medication bottles were sort of a cross between a prescription medication bottle one would normally receive from a pharmacy, and a stock bottle that a pharmacy would receive from a wholesaler. And there was never any attempt to conceal the real location of the site -- the shipments' return addresses were S B L, Louisville, Kentucky.

From reports that I have read on the Internet, it did not appear that, initially, the state of Kentucky had any knowledge of Dr. Senler's Internet business. It seems that they were notified by federal officials regarding it in 2007. In April 2007, Dr. Senler's lawyer at the time, T. Wesley Faulkner, issued a statement that "Internet prescribing is not illegal," and that "there's been no disciplinary action against my client." Dr Senler's license to practice medicine was revoked by The Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure in 2008 (although he had voluntarily surrendered it prior to that). Aside from his Internet company, S B L, which operated his website, Dr. Senler also operated a diet clinic in Louisville called Weight Loss Plus (the formal name for which was Kentucky Body Works). There are also numerous news and other reports which can be found if you search for Tufan Senler. But I've probably told you much more than you wanted to know already.
