gubbio any reply to your refill request?

Hi, I rarely post here, but was wondering if you know if Special Value Services is out of business. I contacted them about an order placed, and yesterday, I got a "the number you received in not taking calls", they are "restricting telephone calls,". It sounds like they went out of business. I paid for my refill, as I saw that it was taken out of my checking account yesterday. Paid for Saturday delivery Do you have any suggestions? I know that they use healthier living pharmacy, out of NJ.

not cool to mention the pharmacy they are still in buisness i received all as planned and so have a few others the pharmacy is 1 or 2 days behind they are like everyone else they are only allowed to ship so many scripts a day just look around on the board and you will see they are still kickn there call volume is super high

no problem and welc ome to the board have you tried both numbers you can get it of there site usually they anwser the other number when they dont anwser the toll free one the wait is usually a week or less on reconsults and they are running a day or two behind at the pharmacy

You really need to be careful on the Saturday delivery issue with SVS now. I requested Saturday delivery on my last two orders. Esther said with the shipping issues at the pharmacy they cannot guarantee that your order will ship for Saturday and they will bill you the extra cost no matter what! I made the mistake of having faith that my order would go....but it did not and I had to eat the extra cost! Second, Esther informed me that the pharmacy was NOT shipping for Saturay deliveries (my most recent order) even though it was an option!! However, I contacted the pharmacy directly and I found out that the order was never forwarded to the pharmacy for filling (could be the reason why many of the orders do not go out on time) and asked them to ship my order for Saturday delivery which they said they would. I emailed SVS and they forwarded the order and told me that the extra cost would be added to my next refill and to pay my orginal COD amount. However when Fedex showed up the COD total had the extra fee that Esther said would be added later and I had to refuse the delivery because I did not have the correct funds. I can only stress that you keep emailing them over and over as well as contacting the pharmacy (early a.m. seems to be the best time) and try to work with them. Hope this helps!

Why didn't you get another money order to cover the difference in cost? Fedex will come back the next day...hopefully that's what happened.

LS, yes I had to get another MO even though SVS told me that it would not have the extra cost added on! They are really in trouble as an organization and it is really effecting their clients.

No doubt, but unfortunately it's not just limited to SVS. It just kills me when people send back perfectly good meds. And if I read right, wasn't this just a miscommunication? I mean, you were going to have to pay the extra cost at some point. These things happened even back when things were running great with a slew of services. Good luck, and hope that next month you'll get your meds with nothing but minor inconveniences.

LS, No SVS said that the pharmacy would not ship for Saturday delivery period! If I did not call the pharmacy directly I would never have known that they DO ship for Saturday delivery!! SVS was just trying to make a few bucks on the back of their customers. The problem I have is that I have been using them for over two years and never have had an issue with them. The whole industry is having supply issues but the fact that SVS is not forwarding the actual orders in a timely manner (as was my case) is just poor managment and all of their clients are paying for it in delayed shipping times! They just need to be up front and tell everyone that it will be x days to receive your order!! They need to under promise and over deliver!! This would solve pretty much all of the issues here!! SVS, however will never do this as they will always get the new patient who will beleive that they can have same day shipping of their meds.

gubbio i never get sat delevry all you have to do is get next day priority for 24.00 and then pick up at terminal thats what i do i tell them its my heart meds and they go find them

I just wanted to let everyone know that I had a wonderful experience with this company! Th consult took a few days, but from the time I faxed my records, to the time I received my script was exactly 1 week. I highly recommend them!!!

After lots of problems with another company, I have switched to SVS. I just spoke with a Jen about setting up my consultation, and I don't get one thing....so you pay for the consult and shipping and processing, etc...but then you pay another $100-something fee to get the script, but not the medication? So you take the script to the pharmacy and have to pay again? She approximated that it would cost about $360 to get the script to me. But then I have to pay the pharmacy too?

Has anyone ever had problems when they took the script to the pharmacy because it was out of state?

Also, can anyone give me a ball-park figure on the cost of filling a 120-count script at a pharmacy?

never got a direct script from them its a new one on me usually they ship from there pharmacy but at a regular pharmacy a 120 ct 10-500 will run around 75.00 ask them if they have another form of getting you a script alot of hometown pharmacys wont fill direct scripts hope this helped you might live in a no ship state

Mass is NOT a no-ship state, so I don't really know what's up. But I guess it doesn't matter now....the doc hasn't called. I've been waiting since 9am. Bummer!

First time post for me, hope for no errors...
My experience here, 1st time went well, 2nd consult, I got the message that they have started a new process for customers. You will now be able to fill your prescription at your local pharmacy. Once your consult is completed, the completed prescription will be mailed to you for you to take to the pharmacy of your choice. I also spoke to Jen, with the same cost rundown. I told her I live out in the middle of nowhere, and it would be impossible to fill locally. She suggested two major chain pharmacies, but I decided against the gamble. After about about 4 years of doctor-scripts, this was my second company. Now will try another, and sure appreciate this community.

im on last refill due thursday and then its a new consult number 16 i hope they dont go to direct or ill be over too

I'll never figure how people who don't need meds, get em, and
those who do need em, have to jump through hoops. Go figure...golden years...right?

got a big suprise today fed x called with a cod and i pickd up at hub 3 days early my next one is a reconsult by the way if records are good i dont think anyone should have problems i had both hips broke in 1993 and have a comp person that helps deal with svs maybe thats why i have no problems they see to it all documents are in order

A helpful tip to you LTravis- It could be the reason why SVS "could" send you a script is because On feb 20, 2008 you are seen over on UWM site stating you are waiting for your consultation? If your waiting on a consultation from UWM then why worry about SVS the very next day or even to state what your stating to worry other SVS customers. Just my opinion but please keep it real. hope it works out for you all the same.

To all. ordered refill on 3/3 delivered on 3/6. As for the direct script issue, I have never heard SVS offering this??? Has anyone actually had this happen?

Yes. For 2nd consult, first received an email containing the description of their new method. Then one from Jenn, asking me to call her, and she explained again, the new method of consult, then mailing script to fill locally. I explained it would be impossible to do here locally. I live in a remote area, nearest town is very small, have lived here for 32 years, and didn't want to try a larger chain online. Hope to hear other posts on this.

Negative experience with SVS this week. Faxed medical records to number and it said out of service. Called SVS and she gave same number and laughed when I asked if she was "sure." Said my medicalrecords were insufficient, this after them claiming, first to not have received the faxed medical records, and then refusing to consult on the same day they received the medical records. Very unprofessional and likely on its way down.

Well, how did it turn out? End of trail here, and UWM dead end too. Luckily had to visit my doc for another procedure. Where to go from here? Unknown.

Left two messages and the phone and an e-mail with no reply on over a week. Please advise.

To all, new consult on Monday. Dr said the script would be sent back to SVS right away.....It is Thursday and still nothing!!! I have to say that so far you will have the same delay no matter how you get the meds! SVS said they would be overnighting the script to me as well. Sounds like the Dr writes each days scripts and probably snail mails them to SVS in FL!! They really need to communocate these delays to their clients!!

So whats the deal here? Is this place DS only or do they still ship meds?

They are direct script only now.
