http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/consumer_alert.htmDEA Warning DEA Warning--Buying drugs online may be illegal and dangerous! Federal law prohibits buying controlled substances such as narcotic pain relievers (e.g., OxyContin®, Vicodin ®), sedatives (e.g., Valium®, Xanax®, Ambien®), stimulants (e.g., phentermine, phendimetrazine, Adderall®, Ritalin®) and anabolic steroids (e.g., Winstrol®, Equipoise®) without a valid prescription from your doctor. This means there must be a real doctor-patient relationship, which by most state laws requires a physical examination. Prescriptions written by "cyber doctors" relying on online questionnaires are not legitimate under the law. Buying controlled substances online without a valid prescription may be punishable by imprisonment under Federal law. Often drugs ordered from rogue websites come from foreign countries. It is a felony to import drugs into the United States and ship to a non-DEA registrant. Buying drugs online may not be only illegal, but dangerous. The American Medical Association and state boards of medicine and pharmacy have all condemned the practice of cyber doctors issuing online prescriptions as unacceptable medical care. Drugs delivered by rogue websites may be the wrong drugs, adulterated or expired, the wrong dosage strength, or have no dosage directions or warnings. DEA is targeting rogue online pharmacies for prosecution and shutting down these illegal websites. See the results of one such investigation, Operation Cyber Chase, at www.usdoj.gov/dea/pubs/pressrel/pr042005.html . How to spot a rogue pharmacy: www.DEAdiversion.usdoj.gov/faq/internetpurch.htm To report illegal prescription drug sales and/or rogue pharmacies operating on the Internet call the anonymous Pharmaceutical Drug Abuse Hotline: 1-877-RxAbuse (1-877-792-2873)

You know what gets to me? Although I've never ordered from IOPs, BI's etc, I watched all these Dr's being busted, Pharmacies being raided, OCS's being shut down, But NEVER EVER have I heard of anyone being busted/arrested for either selling fake meds or taking the money and not shipping anything. It would seem that assisting patients in need is illegal but STEALING is perfectly fine. My guess is Dr's, Pharms & OCS's are "easy targets" and thieves are too much work. I have noticed the same thing... Sad, isn't it? They could easily hit these scumbags with fraud, money laundering, intent to distribute (even if they never planned on sending anything, or sent a box of marbles) and a host of other charges. But it seems all the scammers go unscathed, yet the places that are actually helping some people are targeted with full force. Not saying what they are doing by sending meds is legal or OK, but it is crazy that one can set out to rip people off and never really have to worry about much. I have seen people arrested on cops selling drywall and flour as you know what and they still get arrested and charged as if it was the real thing, but people that do this over the net seem to have no issues and continue to take peoples money. Many of whom are poor, have no INS, and are just looking for a bit of relief at a price they can afford. Sad sad sad...
