about a week, sometimes 2 from what i have heard.sorry, but i think all direct scripts are that way. but it seems a better way to go instead of waiting on refills from the others. plus its cheaper

Definately cheaper in the long run....But WOW a week or two! That is quite a wait

1) Faxed info. on Friday morning before 11 a.m.
2) Had consult Friday afternoon.
3) Received confirmation of script being written on Tuesday morning.
4) Script SHOULD arrive tomorrow morning (Wednesday).

So, all in all, 4 total business days.

Just wanted to post regarding my experience with MEC. The entire process was very simple and straightforward. Michelle was great to answer all questions and to keep me informed.

Just received script today and got it filled with no problems at my local pharmacy. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Just thought I'd add to the post above. I just received my Rx from MEC this afternoon and had it filled at the local pharmacy. I have to give MEC an excellent recommendation. It was the 1st time I'd ever done an OCS and they made the experience well woth it!

Has any one new used this service yet?

I am putting forth a lot of effort to secure a consult and my fax machine is smoking. Second attempt so far. Hope this latest ream of 11 years worth of records will suffice.

Amazing, Eh? Yet, oh so true. Joined VIP in late 2001, before joining freeside (extreme old timer on both sides). Consult succesful....Michele is a saint when it comes to promptness and courtesy of replies. Website could use some clarification of requirements, though. Left a reply on VIP side. Sure could use some advice over there , if you please?

This is my first post on this site, I'm mostly a reader and have learned a great deal since finding a few months ago. I feel the need to express my support for MEC and to let others know how "easy" my experience with them was. I faxed records and ID on a friday, was called for consult on monday and was emailed confirmation of scrip approval on wednesday of same week. They emailed tracking# on thursday and scrip was delivered on Friday, but due to work I picked up at hub on saturday. I have to admit was a little nervous filling it but after reading previous posts from others it sounded like it wasn't a problem. Took to walgreen's and said it would be ready in 20 minutes and it was! Great thing about it is you get 2 refills and I even got mine 2 days earlier than expected. The best part is insurance payment was $5 for each fill, consult was $175 but was worth it IMO. My biggest concern was doctor/scrip was out of state (way out) I'm in cali and scrip's from florida, but no problems or ?'s asked. Compared to other method IMO directscript is cheaper and safer way to go. Kudos to MEC!!

Hey bouzhee, welcome back i guess? It looks like you've been a memeber for a copuple years but obviously were only reading eh? Personally most people dont like to post dr's names, and personally i think its a good idea to keep their names off the public board! That way its harder for LE to track down the few dr's that are compassionate enough to help us out. PM's are a good way of sharing info but i would reccomend you just call them up and ask if you want the dr's name. Just my opiion and what i would do if i wanted that type of info.

Does this place only do script mailing? I live in a state where I don't think they take out if state scripts.

Yes these guys only do Direct Scripts. What state do you live in? If you are not sure, call yout local pharm to see if they will accept an out of state script. Reading some older posts, it appears the script comes from Florida.

Sometimes they won't "accept" the paper, but generally an "oral" script is acceptable in most states. One stategy may be to bring in the script, and have the pharm call the doc to "verify" the script, thus "converting' it to an oral script. That is a strategy in California that works, because CA will only accept scripts that are on a "California Secure Blank" form. Although some pharms will take them, the Pharm Board Law says they have to be on that form.

The Dr that handles these scripts is available after 5pm for pharmacies to call and verify. That is what I was told.

Makes it real sweet! I love the DS concept. There is so much resistance to DS on the board. With all of the Pharm meltdowns I would think the DS companies would be buried.

I am new to this forum. I just have to say that these guys are great. As long as you truly have a well documented need for what you are requesting and all of your ducks are in a row, they work like clockwork. I had no problem having the out of state script filled in my little home town.

I switched to these guys after the carnage of my previous provider went down, and I can see that this is occurring to several places on this forum.

I would highly recommend this service to anyone that is sincerely in pain.

I researched this board for a couple weeks and decided to go with MyEasyConsult. Of course I had many questions before I would ever send money to anyone for a service like this. Their customer service answered all 14 emails and a few calls, some within the hour. They had patience as they walked me through the process.

Here's how it worked:
- I sent them all the required information
- Received a phone consult the next day
- Received an email the following day that the script had been approved
- The next day I received the FEDEX tracking number
- Received the script (with a hand written thank you)
- They included the prepaid return label. I put my original documentation and MO in an envelope, applied the label and shipped it off.
- Dropped off my script and picked it up filled later that afternoon.

I was impressed how helpful the staff was and how smooth the process went. I'll definitely be a returning customer. If you're looking for a reliable company, I suggest you give them a try.

I think this is the real future in tele-medicine. My roommate's brother was hit by a car a few years ago and has a bad back - he pays them COD.

You know - it's a really good idea when you think about it. The dreaded "pharmacy" delay isn't a factor. From what I've read here the doctor is pretty cool - I guess a lot of pharmacies call to verify to validity of the script.

How did the consult go was it fast and quick or did the doctor actually talk to you and give a [censored] about you and what your going through? I understand about the tracking and fed-ex stuff but I didn't understand what you ment when you said you mailed them original documentation and a Money order? what documentation do you have to send them? Also you send a money order for payment by mail? They don't charge you first, or want the fed-ex man to collect it? Well thanks in advance for any help.

I have a question about one of the requirements.

Physical within the last 12 mos? I do have medical records from August of this year. It was from a visit to my regular doctor. It wasn't, technically, a "physical" but my condition is clearly stated on there. Will this be an issue?

Secondly, my regular doctor only prescribed me 7.5 hydros. Does this mean that is what I'm going to get? 10s work much better for me.

** You don't speak directly to the Dr. You are screened through My Easy Consults. You will need to show records of what has been prescribed in the past for you. I stuck with the Norco's, so I don't know about switching meds.

** You only fax them the information to get started. They still need the originals with your signature on them.

** Notorized form and 200% copy of drivers license.

Also you send a money order for payment by mail?
**Yes, They will send your script COD Fedex. You pay for the package, open it, take the prepaid/prefilled out Fedex shipping label and hand it to the guy behind the counter and tell him to ship the MO back to the sender using the shipping label sent. They took it from there.
