Provigil (modafinil) worked really well for me. It increased my IQ by what I can describe as putting masses of ideas together for a fast conclusion. Instead of pondering, you get to the point. Only downside was that speech was impaired a bit, reached tolerance quickly, and I could not get to sleep. First one can be solved by a dopamine agonist and some form of piracetam, second can be solved by cycling it, and third is solved by ambien.

I tried an Indian generic version of modafinil and undoubtedly it was less effective and had harsher downs.

I'm posting this to see if anybody knows of either a.) a source of real brand name Provigil (Cephalon) or b.) high quality generic Provigil made by reputable company.

I really wouldn't discount airsealed. Their ordinary customers are other labs and research facilities. They also include a lab report with each batch showing exactly the amount of active ingredient in the bulk product. I've had friends order other bulk chemicals from airsealed and both of them raved about the quality and quality of service. Just because something has an indian brand name on it and is in a blisterpack doesn't mean a whole lot about the quality of the product. While I've never ordered modafinil from airsealed before, after reserching it for someone else I've been strongly tempted. In my completely unfounded opinion it;s probably the closest thing you;re going to get to real un-adulterated modafinil without shelling out $10 a pill to a pharmacy for provigil here in the states.

Just food for thought, I have no vested interest in where you order anything from, but I've had too many occasions of very questionable products coming from some of the better known indian and pakistani IOPS.

Oh and just to reply to the statement "I'd have no problem paying for real provigil"... First off, it's under patent in the US which is the only market it's sold in. And you'd have to have a US prescription for it written by a US doctor and filled at a US pharmacy. To give you an idea of just how expensive it is (as with many US drugs still under patent) here is a quote from an online pharmacy that I was able to find that was actually willing to list the price.

I suggest everyone use http://www.airsealed.com They're products aren't brand, but their tabs and bulk offers can't be beet. They're quality is littel lower than brand(as I've read from some other thread), but I've been satisfied it. I use them for other products, but lately I haven't used them so I don't know their service now. Before it was good.

Also http://www.indianmeds4u.org/ sells proigil. But their price and quantitiy realationship isn't good as airsealed.

Try to get brand for high price from US and you see where you money goes.

Let me also know if you find better source.

I'd like to know your source for provigil, it sounds like you're getting a quality product for a reasonable place. One other place I've found to order provigil is through http://www.squaremeds.com , a company out of Canada. I think each 200 mg pill is 1-2 dollars each which is way cheaper than getting a prescription in America.

I know it says on the front page they don't send to the US but after going through the whole order process and paying via paypal they sent me an email asking if I wanted to take my money back or continue with the order at my own risk through US customs. They ship from the UK so I figure theres minimal chance of seizure. Let 'er rip!

In reply to ordering from airsealedmarketing.com, I would say go ahead. You won't be disappointed. I just had a weird side effect from it-the nauseous feeling for a while after I took it, either the tabs or the powder. It was my first experience with India meds. But they were great with emails, no problem receiving pkgs., good packaging, and I believe I received in less than 2weeks. They also give you bonus points based on how much you order and you get to pick from a list of free stuff! Kind of nice. They were top notch for customer service. I just didn't prefer the brand they have, but others may not have the same side effect.

http://www.squaremeds.com has 200mg Provigil for less than 2.00 each. I beleive that SquareMeds is in Canada, so there shouldn't be a problem with customs. It says on their site to fill out the medical questionaire and fax your prescription to them. Then it says, if you don't have a prescription, one will be written based on your medical questionaire. I'm going to give them a try next week. One more thing, if you cant get your local doctor to write you a script for #7 200mg Provigil(which work great for me, and a deeply scored to break them easily), then goto http://www.provigil.com and click on FREE SAMPLES and print the form and take your script to a drugstore for 7 free 200mg Provigil.

This modvigil I got through squaremeds is not the same Provigil I got thorugh Air sealed before that was so good. I couldn't get airsealed order to go through so went this way after recommendation through here. This Modvigil acts like a bad speed and not Provigil.

Is the Indian Modalert Generic the same as the real deal Modafinil ?

It is supposed to be the same. But my experience (and those of others) is different. I have used both original Provigil (US brand of Modafinil) and Modalert. After a quite comparable Modalert experience i felt like knocked out. Very tired and needed hours of additional sleep to recover. Not so with Provigil. Either this is purely anecdotal or my biochemistry has changed in the last 3 years markedly. :-)
