Placed a new order, sent med records and the $175. Got an email saying they are shut down for three weeks. I suppose I lost the $175. Anyone have any info? I ordered from them because of their rating.

I used to do business with these people a long time ago. When they finally went belly up, they took the refills and peoples money with them! For weeks they still took money orders but never arranged for refills or consults. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS! I can't believe DB Allowed them back on the forum.

Thanks. I just learned the benefit of using these boards. A $175 lesson. I fell for the rating Stars and didn't check out the comments.

I used to be a customer as well before they lost their pharmacy. PhoneConsulatation and the Pharmacy they were using (United) are two separate entities....like most. Customer Service at PhoneConsultation is superior. They go above and beyond to help us out. Since they lost their pharmacy and have gone to sending out a prescription to be filled at your local pharmacy, I think they are testing the waters with this new angle because their experience with United was so bad. I am hopeful for them, only because they were always so nice to me. However, I don't use their services and haven't since the end of 2006. I lost my consult, 1st medciation and 2 refills with them because of United. But, they did try everything they could (except refund my money) to help me out.

I've made the same mistake of ordering based on outdated ratings. This OP used to be one of the best, but since they lost their compounding pharmacy (I forget the name) in Florida, they've become one of the worst OPs. They never used to demand payment upfront. You'd talk to Dr.Merkle, he'd order the meds, you'd get them the next day and THEN you could send in a check for the consult.

I never had any problem with United when they were using them. They shorted me 30 compound hydros, and reshipped the missing 30 with no hassle and no charge.

Hi,

I am looking to change to a new company.

I was wondering if this company is also having big delays?

Does anyone have any real feedback?

It is appreciated. I am tired of getting my money taken, then waiting weeks & not getting any information from the company I am currently with. They just do not care.

Thank you

Looks good, anyone used this service recently. I may have to switch due to a new CA rule and this one has a CA office which would be great.

Oh I remember those days...isn't there a song 'bout that??? {Those were the days my friend...we thought they'd never end...we were so happy...blah, blah, blah!!} However, it looks as though those days are deader than Julius Caesar. Anyhow, they were great when they used Uninted, and then the Alphabet Idiots (DEA, etc) "swooped in", and "busted up" a "huge Florida drug ring", as they would put it, anyhow. Yeah...that'll keep drugs off the street, busting pharmacists and all. What a great idea (**sarcasm***sarcasm**sarcasm)....all we have to do as LE officers is sit behind out computer all day finding the names and addresses of pharmacies and pharmacists, and go after them, instead of actually having to do some good ole' fashioned police work like tracking down the REAL "bad guys" and surveilling them, and building a case, and then busting the real drug dealers...you know...yeah, you remember...those scumbags who deal crystal meth, crack, etc to little kids. I know that it is too tempting for these LE types to just take the easy road here....but c'mon...how is society benefited by Grandma not getting her meds to help her deal with her painfully debilitating arthritis??? Is society that much safer with the pharmacist who filled my script to help me combat my chronic pain off the street??? The only thing I can see is that it has made my family (and grandma's family, I am sure) suffer alot more, because I am unable to function when I am in my "normal" amount of pain, when it goes untreated. I know that sounds pathetic...but there it is.

Pain is the most undertreated, misunderstood malady in this country....probaby in the world. And we, as citizens of the most advanced, prosperous and supposedly one of the most compassionate countries on this planet are forced to grovel and beg for a few pain pills. What a sad state of affairs. I think Congress needs to get off it's collective a$$ and address this situation...and soon!!

Okay...my tyrade is over now...I feel a bit better, but I am still in pain, but that is now normal for me!! Anyhow, I hope that you all are having a relatively pain free day, and if that isn't possible, I hope that you all can at least keep your spirits up, and your thoughts positive and cheery.

Peace to you all..

Katy

My Aunt has used them now with direct Script in California. Initially she had to physically see a doctor in LA and got 3 refills no problem with a written prescription [censored]. She lives in California. The doctor left that practice and when it came time for new consultation in January of 2008 Tony immediately got her another doctor on a phone consultation however I believe he had the medical records from the previous doctor plus her existing ones as she did not need to visit another doctor. She received 3 refills and the script was called into her pharmacy and that was January 9th of this year 2008. She is due April 9th, 08 now for another consult so I will keep you posted. She said he has been nothing but helpful and courteous however she does have excellent medical records. The cost was reasonable and they issued her 120 10/325 Hydro which she filled through her insurance.

Hello all,

This is my first post ever, although I have been using DB as a resource for several years now. I never felt the need to post information before because I generally stuck with the "popular" names at the time and everyone else's post's pretty much summed up the story. Anyway I recently placed an order with phoneconsultation.com and I have to say that I am very pleased with the result. Tony the customer service rep is very prompt in replying to ?'s, and the doctor is both thorough and kind. This is a DS OP for those who may ask. I live in CA and so far I have nothing but good things to say about their services.

I really feel that I need to post my experience with Phoneconsultations.com I faxed my records in as well as overnight fedxing the money order and tracking number on 04/29 your advised to do so for faster service. so I waited about three days before calling and leaving messages as well as emails asking when and if a consult was going to be scheduled not one of these emails had been answered. Finally I sent another email just asking for a refund and I get a call from Dr.W on 05/05 said scrip would be going right out, well I just sent another email today asking when my script would be going out, finally received a reply that they would try to talk to the doctor tomorrow as he has been unavailable, I definitely would not recommend this direct script service.

I saw a post on the VIP side where they are doing face to face in Ohio and the person said they were scripted 360 hydro's with 1 refill or 6 months worth..had to send in MO and then meet with Dr, but face to face and got a hard script filled near the clinic so no worries...very interesting..anyone else with this experience?

Sounds interesting. Are you sayihng 360 pills and one refill. I'm confused is it 360 pllls that should last 6 months? That would be less than 90 per month right? at 90 360 is 4 months worth. Where does the refill come in? Sorry for all the questions. I'm just sort of thinking. outloud. If any one could clarify I'd appreciate it

Ohsoannoyed,

I think the poster meant 360 ct. with one refill of 360 ct. equaling 720 ct. total divided by 6 months which comes out to 120 ct. per month. At least that's how I took it which does make sense.

Ohso and BBM,

BBM you are correct..it was a script for 360 with 1 refill totalling 720 over 6 months or 120 per month.
I PM'd the poster and they said the pharm was going to fill the 360 and give it to them but their insurance would only let them do 1 month (120) at a time..can't imagine walking out with 360 pills...it was a face to face in Ohio which is where I am from so I may try it when my current refills are gone..who knows..

That makes sense. So it's like getting two 120 ct. scripts with 2 refills each. Hopefully the pharmacy can enter it into the system like that so their insurance will cover it all.

For those of you who might be coming up for a reconsult with PhoneConsultation.com, I have been unable to reach them via email or phone (in the past, they have been very responsive -- Tony or Gwyneth). No reply yet to 3 emails, and when I called the CA customer service number, the phone rang and rang, and was finally answered "National Financial". I verified that I dialed the correct phone number.

I am very hesitant to send in a money order at this point, especially given that, in the past, PhoneConsultation.com accepted my personal checks.

Has anyone else been able to get in touch with PhoneConsultation.com in late May, 2008?

MMYP,

Phoneconsultation.com (PC) may (or may not) be a resourceful survivor in the government's war against telemedicine.

PC, in its recent incarnation, brokers face-to-face consultations with physicians for patients, thereby ensuring that a physician relationship exists and provides a proper context for pain medication prescriptions.

PC "worked" for me in providing face-to-face consultation, but like I say, no longer responds to email or phone contacts.

I doubt very much that PC is in trouble as a result of its recently adopted business model. Perhaps its past has caught up with it....

I've been with PC for approximately 3 years. I've watched them go thru several changes with the most recent being an adoption to the new laws. In my area, San Diego, they have contracted with 2 doctors 1 in Palm Springs and 1 in Hemet. I preferred to use the doctor in Hemet. I sent my MO in and received a call from the Doctor the following day. He was on his way to downtown San Diego so he stopped by my work to do the exam and prescription. I filled the prescription the following day. I've had great results.

Wow - their site says they service Tennessee! But we would have to go to Chesterfield, VA for the face to face. For that distance I would rather go to Florida.

Sakura - you are smart to not send money up front. To me, if they had a legitmate service, COD would be OK.

It is tempting, I know, but one must ask - WHY do they need the money up front? If they got the product - no problems, right? Many people, including me, got burned by Chat and they insisted on an upfront MO. So be careful.

Wishing you well in these difficult times.

I really wish more feed back was on this place. It's almost the same distance for me as Docs on Demand and this service gives refills if that's what's decided at the time of the appt.
I'm also so leary of sending a MO first. Why not COD or CC?
I would even except cash at the time of the appt. without a fuss.
Anyone have any feed back to share?

I was surprised to see a doc in Minnesota for this company. I wonder how this doc is? Anybody know first hand on the MN group here? It is actually closer for me than docondemand and if they do the refills. Only problem is doing the money up-front -- that gives me the willies.

I'm also so leary of sending a MO first. Why not COD or CC?
I would even except cash at the time of the appt. without a fuss.
Anyone have any feed back to share?

It is tempting, I know, but one must ask - WHY do they need the money up front? If they got the product - no problems, right? Many people, including me, got burned by Chat and they insisted on an upfront MO. So be careful.

Wishing you well in these difficult times.

This place jas run like this for years. Used them in 06 and 07 a little bit and they were golden. I'd like to hear more from this place as well. I thought they were strictly west coast?

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

I sent in my medical records and they said were fine and had me mail a Money order as payment. Now there telling me that the Dr wont take me and they would refund my money. Its been almost 2 weeks and I still havent got my refund minus there $35. I call, leave messages and email but still no response and no refund. I honestly believe that they dont have Drs and are just in it to scam people out of there hard earned money. I had a bad feeling when someone by the name of D Seller signed for my money order that cost me $20 to mail overnight.

Several different services are being discussed in this thread, to which are you referring?

I did not mean that any type of argumentative way, just some of the people who posted shortly before you were referring to a different service, so I just asked for clarification.

Opencountry, I am sorry that you had a bad experience. I hope you get your refund.

I used this service this week. Sent my records, got the ok for a F2F, sent my money and got an appointment. I was very pleased with the doctor, who spent a lot of time with me and was very compassionate. My needs were verified by the doctor, and I receive a prescription for the medication that I have previously been taking (with 2 refills.) I am very satisfied. I also got a lot of helpful advice on how to cope with my condition, and even got suggestions for reading material. This doctor is really good.

FermentiaOO, I was glad to hear you had a good experience. I checked their website, saw they had Dr. in Ohio, had a few questions, and sent an e-mail. Gwynnth responded the next day with the answers. However it seems to me that almost all F2F services deal with chronic pain patients - and thank God there is help for those who suffer so - but my problem deals with unhealthy weight and I am trying to find a Dr. who will prescribe medication and monitor me. I am what the French would call " of a certain age " and I know what has worked in the past. I was in Fla. for work and found a Dr. who prescribed meds for 3 months, 1 month off, different meds for 3 months - actually excellent program. Any way in Ohio can't find similar Dr. and saw on Phoneconsultations.com they prescribe same meds Dr. F used. Without encroaching on your privacy are you also a chronic pain patient ? Has anyone used them for weight loss ? I hope i didn't break any Rules, this is my first ever post.

I placed order on Monday and faxed med records and sent money order. Received an email next day telling me to contact the doctor directly. Made appointment with doctor for Monday June 29th. I will reply on how the appointment with doctor goes on Monday. So far everything is going well, and their price is better than most others. This is for Las Vegas, NV

Avoid at all cost, They just took my $250, and now will not respond to any emails! They are definitely a ripoff company. The discount code doest even work, if it had I would have only been ripped off for $235, now I'm really mad. Dont believe any good reports.

I had my consult on Monday 6/29 as scheduled with no problems. The doctor was very caring. He gave me 2 scripts hydro 10/325 and Soma 350. He does everything by email. I had no problems with these people. I live in Las Vegas, NV.

I had my phone reconsult with PhoneConsultation this morning (my F2F was last June.) Everything went perfectly. I really like this doctor. She is the one in Ventura. Anyway, she called in my new prescription to Walgreens (90 ct, 2 refills) and I picked it up within a couple of hours.
Anyway, all you people who are having trouble getting a doc to give you ANY refills, you might want to try here. I have always gotten 2 refills.

The MN doc is not actually in Excelsior, he is more Brooklyn Park, I believe would be the town. . . It was very easy to find.

cady, it took me over a week to get in with him. They did try to get me in sooner, but it just wouldn't work. But I don't know, maybe he is not quite as busy now. I had a very good experience with him.

I used phoneconsultations before the new law went into effect and really liked them.

Is most everyone having a positive experience when seeing the doctor?
