I also tried to "switch" to the Codeisan since it was in stock and the Perduretas was not. He just told me there could not be a switch, but that he would ship the Perds when available. Everybody talks some ugly words about Wayne, but he has ALWAYS come through for me. BTW I have used Biotran off and on for 10 (yes, ten, count em') years. If you do not like any IOP I say you should move on. No offense, anyone.

He's deserved the criticism he's gotten. He has been very unclear about what he wants, telling different people different things instead of just posting general updates on his website. When you go out of your way to confuse people, don't be surprised when they get ticked off. That being said, Wayne did have a great service, and I hope he can get back to the way things were before the "slowdown." All signs indicate that the Perd situation at the European source is now back to normal. Now all we need is for the Biotran situation to get back to normal. As a previous poster said, one shipment every four months doesn't cut it.

Yes, the European sources I had were obviously right on the
money. Biotran now lists Perds as "in stock" once again.
Whew! It seems the long dry spell is over. It was a long
time coming, that's for sure. Let's hope things
stay "normal" (as they were in about mid-1996) for a long
while now.

Hi there,
Just a question re: Biotran and the whole did he mail or didn't he? I respect the heck out the gentleman, as he has done right by me every single time...however, I had to go through the dry spell thing like everyone else, and during the "green" Perds debacle, I desperately sent in the form on June 1st stating on there the facts (I have always received Perds, I understand policy is to stay with the same med, etc..., but please can I just have sent the Codesin this time as I need something for the pain). In the interim, I did e-mail, and it was regarding his phone number, (I had dialed incorrectly and thought I had the wrong number). After that every time I checked on the website to call, no orange bar was revealed, (nor in the Perds area)...Bottom line, my question is this: Since the perds are now "in", and I never received anything yet, is it likely that he was just waiting, as others have said to send the Perds, instead of the substitution? Just wondering and hoping as I have only had 2 years of experience with Biotran, and no outages until this past one.
Awaiting someone's reply, thank you in advance....

I would guess he's just waiting, so hang tight... I've never heard of him/them ripping anyone off.

It is nice to see that orange light again, but who knows how long it will last? That was quite a long dry spell (not only for Biotran) and I hope it doesn't happen again anytime soon!

I sent in $30 for codes back when the price was lower. I received nothing and the order was made in december. In January I sent another $30 to make what I spent to be $60 and for that I received nothing!

Says codes in stock and that is the med I prefer, but I'm not sending in another dime to this jive turkey. I won't even email him, I simply am boycotting his service, which more of you should do the same thing.

nurofen.com sells codeine, 2 of them are eaasily equal to 1 codesian in my book. The price is only $20 and their reliable. Wayne can take a long walk off a short pier and give me my $30.00 back CROOK in my book.

I got my nurofen Plus in 7 days to south florida.

Anyway, I don't need his crappy meds now that my insurance kicks in. I get 10 times better meds then bio can give out. I'm proud to legally get OxyContin which solves my problems and then some.

I'll never order from this run sheister and I suggest you do there same. No on deserves to be treated poorly because you are rude and can't run a business.

Perds and codes and both listed as available on the BioTran Web Site.

Good Luck.

Great! You paid him what you owed him for the last order you received, and are out no money.

His policy is pay after you receive. So there was no reason for you to send any more money in January.

I'm curious as to why you waited until now to post your experience -- oh -- I just noticed you didn't become a member until a couple of weeks ago. Welcome.

I'd wish you better luck ordering from someone else; but, since you now

I e-mailed this week asking for a sample of Perds (I did not know about the history here), and he replied for me to contact him in about 8 weeks. I would think this means an intention to honor prior orders. I plan to check back in August. I hope he can help.

If you look at the fine print on the Biotran site, it looks like he is trying to phase out Codesian.

Meanwhile, there is apparently still a back log on Perds. We are 5 working days into Orange, and my mailbox is still empty. Also, I haven't seen any happy faces on this forum this week. Perhaps next week.

the pain med page has not changed much at all for a long time, it is just that he changed the orange price to 55
for the codes, the instructions below still have the old
price. i fail to understand the logic of listing the same price for the same quantity of a 30mg & a 50mg tablet.
i'm thinking he may want to retire the 30 buck codes
customers to make way for a newer 55 buck crowd and
when he gets an established 55 buck group he may up the
perds. probably did not want to up the price of both at
the same time. but this is just idle chatter cause i
don't know nothing about what biotran has in plan.
based on the traffic of this topic i'd say alot of
people have moved on.

Site says a maximum of 7 shipments for codes, then switch to perds or try another company. Read after "4th"......

Perhaps that has been there all along and I just never noticed it before.

i used to use biotran like 2 years ago. Anyone know if I can just send $55 and start back up or do I have to start over?

What do you think would happen if I just send $55?

Given biotran's recent performance, IMO, you might as well burn the $55. I've been regular with "them" for five years and they never missed a shipment nor did I get a LL regarding them. In past three months even prepaid shipments seem to have stopped or atleast slowed to a trickle.

I still don't understand the intrigue with this biotran guy.

Everyone does realize there are many reliable places that send the same product in the manufacturer's packaging. In like 7-10 days.

Yeah, they're twice the price, but isn't the pain relief worth it? Certainly not everyone is so short of funds they have to put up with nonsense from this guy?

like what sites? can you post the links?

And while we may not be short on cash....why pay twice as much if you can get it for half as much from biotran? I dont think its really that much to deal with to get it for half price. As long as you are not relying on him as your primary source you have nothing to lose.

It's not appropriate to "hijack" biotran's thread by mentioning other IOPs, but I'll let you know.

Though I use codeine rarely, I made a list of who else has those products. I'll post it in a new thread. I've already sent it to you.

Patient2all, I just want to commend you for holding to the policy of not posting other IOPs on the Biotran thread, which IS a form of hijacking. Opinions about Biotran vary and I try to respect those opinions whatever they may be. My own experience with the comany has been excellent. They have always dealt honestly with me over a long time period (I've been with them for years.) The perds shortage has meant hard times for all of us, very frustrating for Biotran, I'm sure, as well as us. Glad it's over, for now at least.

Of course, it is perfectly fine to send PM's on such subjects as other IOPs to other members of the board who request them, and I commend you for that, too. It's the right way to handle this, I think.

I'm not accusing so don't take this wrong.

Didn't he say NOT to send any money at all until the Perds were in stock? Well the day I saw them in stock I sent the money.

Have you emailed him? If you didn't know you weren't supposed to send more money just tell him.

Sorry about that i wasn't trying to get you to break any Rules i just figured rather then asking you to PM me (thanks for the PM by the way)that i would ask you to post the information so that everyone could benefit from it. I had no intention of hijacking the thread.

About a week ago I sent an email to Bio asking if my 2 orders from late January were ever shipped. I received a response the next day saying that "all backorders were shipped 10 weeks ago". 10 weeks ago??? Is anybody here still waiting on an order from January like I am? Just wondering.

I also asked if I should start resending in my regular orders since the website showed in stock on Perds. He told me since I was missing those orders I should call first before sending an order. This just confused me. So, anyone still missing orders from January? ---Jimmy

Jimmy, I would call them. They can look up on their system when they sent you your orders. You do have to call for this type of service.

My backorders (2 of them) were just received 2 weeks ago within a few days of each other. Obviously, they were not sent 10 weeks ago.

Hope this helps you out a bit.

Thanks Nicks. The problem is that I don't have a land line anymore. The only phone I have is my work cell so calling out of country is a no-no. Any suggestions to get around that? Also, I called them about an order a year ago and it was impossible to understand what he was saying. His accent is so thick that I had to keep saying "what?" all the time. I really want to get back into the swing with Bio, but now I'm not sure what to do. ---Jimmy

Why don't you buy one of those calling cards and use a friends land line or maybe a pay phone?

I've called them twice... I got Wayne once and someone else the second time. The other person I could understand. Wayne I could not. He really lays on the accent! He didn't seem annoyed that I couldn't understand him, but I could barely make out what he was saying. I don't know what else tell you. Good luck!

one of the big reasons i like this forum and just exactly what it was designed for is hearing from Jimmy that he was
told all backorders have been shipped when i was told at about the same time concerning an order about as late that
they are filling them as fast as possible. both sides of the coin, pick a response out of your [censored] type stuff.

What on earth are you referring to? Something I posted?
