I made this post because it seems that some IOPs sell the name-brand upjohns, the only difference is the color and where they are manufactured. I recently received the purple ones and I was a little bit confused by my tolerance to them.
I'm wondering...is it just me? This post could be useful to those of you who might be holding off on an IOP because the color is disconcerting to you.

PS: I didnt vote. I have very little experience with this brand of xanax.

tolerances bulid up to xanax faster than I can say Xanax- Blue Upjohns R good. Just watch your intake or else you will be injesting 50 t0 60 mgs a day like me and still not feel a thing . Your a rocker I can tell.

I'm pretty careful with anything I take, and only take xanax occasionally - during those special, terrifying kind of panic attacks that leave me no other option.

I have had both blue and purple, in blister packs, from two different foreign sources and I thought the blue ones (from Europe) were much stronger.

It has been disucssed in an older thread that perhaps the manufacturing standards vary from country to country even though they are all Upjohn/Pfizer licensed Mfg's. So it may not necessarily just be the color, but also the location where they are made that makes a difference. Just my thoughts

wow..IF you take 50 mills of xanax your taking 50 mills of xanax...All legit brands of xanax are excaxtly the same. You wont get a different effect from taking 50 mills of blue xanax then the next day you take 50 mills of pink xanax...xanax is xanax is xanax is alprazolam damit.

the problem with this is how do you know the blue one IS 1mg and the purple IS 1mg? Pink would be a 0.5mg BTW. The blue could be degraded to .89 and the purple properly stored could contain the whole 1mg. So you Can't say it like the way you did and make it a true statement. Yes 1mg of xanax is the same active chemical as 1 mg alprazolam if the xanax contains 1mg of alprazolam, and this only covers the actiive ingredient, not the binders and such that differ from manufacturers. I've seen you post this type post in several threads and you're only partially correct. Not starting a fight, but to those that aren't too familiar with meds it's better to be as precise as possible. I live in Europe and brand-name Xanax 1mg by Upjohn/Pharmacia are 99% purple and imprinted 'UPJOHN 90.' The 0,5mg are pink and marked 'UPJOHN 55'. The only ones I would actually call BLUE that I have seen are US made generics by Greenstone, marked G3721.
However, better than any XANAX brand are KSALOL by Galenika, which are very small sky-blue tablets, convex and totally unmarked. They seem much stronger than Xanax brand.
As for 2mg tabs, Argentina's Gador make ALPLAX, a better alprazolam than Xanax. They are white and long bar-shape, marked 'ALP'. The Pfizer/Upjohn/Pharmacia equivalent is weaker and nearly twice the price. There are also white 2mg bars made by the Swiss company Sandoz, marked GG249; they are not too bad at all. Another alternative is the 2mg green oval by Denver Pharma. Good quality. But the very best I would say was the 1mg Galenika KSALOL. Two of them are better than any 2mg bar or oval.

I can't say I've ever seen BLUE 1mg XANAX either; it's always purple, the shade dependent on which factory they come from; the Hungarian ones, which still come in a Pfizer box even though the company is now all part of the Pharmacia group, and which nearly all Xanax now carries as manufacturer on the blister, tend to be the deepest purple of all.
I think I might have seen the same blue American ones, but certainly not a blue european Xanax.
I agree with the above poster who prefers KSALOL. Yes, the 2mg bars and ovals are best, but for a 1mg alp, Ksalol is definitely the brand I'd rather have over Xanax. Trouble is, all alp scripts here are filled with Xanax, the strongest tablet available being 500mcg. I have a feeling it is being phased out all together. They deleted the 1 and 2mg strengths a while back now, and my doctor is trying everything to get me to switch anxiety meds to something other than alprazolam but without success.

I've seen many blue 1mg football shaped Xanax here in the USA. Many of the younger generation seem to be on this antianxiety medicine, although it seems impossible for older people to get it? Anyway, I saw some just a couple of weeks ago. My son has a friend who is on them, and they are definitely blue.

^^ Two friends of mine who have scripts (domestic - USA), get the blue footies. I've never seen or had blue footballs from IOPs or anyone, but feel they are stronger than the purple ones (which I tried from Airsealed)...marginally so, but I think there's a noticeable difference.

Also, fwiw, I think young people have a hard time getting legit scripts for xanax. I had pretty terrible GAD during college and resisted scripts of Effexor and other SSRIs, etc before the DR. reluctantly put me on 1 mg xanax XR. It also seems that women can EASILY get a script for valium or xanax over men...that's for sure.

I can't remember if they actually said Xanax on them or out. It could be that some of the generics are also blue footballs? I don't know. I didn't look very closely. My oldest son has many friends on anti-anxiety medicine and although I've seen the blue footballs I didn't look closely to see what they said on them.

It could be the part of the country I live in. Perhaps some parts don't give them to younger people, and other parts of the country give it more to younger people than older people.

I found it strange that so many of his friends were on them, but then, my daughter's friend from high school is also on them. Perhaps when the kids have anxiety attacks from school or something the doctor just gives them this. I do know they get small quantities (30 a month) and they aren't supposed to use them everyday.

Well hopefully they are aware of the withdrawal
systems if they take them everyday and suddenly stop.

Nah, I would never touch those kids medicines. My children would think a lot less of me if I purchased it off of them. I just realized, after my 24 yr. old son said that several of his friends took them and then my dauther's best friend, who is also on anti-depressants, takes Xanax.

Seems weird that the young childs are getting them, but from what I've seen, these children do need something like that (one has ADHD) and it's one of the medicines he takes, but he doesn' take all 30 during the month. Even then, it's 1 mg. a day so hopefully it wouldn't be too painful for them if they had to quit suddenly. I do know that if they run out early their doctors refill without a question.

Wish my family doctor was like that. Cool guy, but he was only into antibiotics and making you fell well, and any of those medicines whould have to be through a physciatrist (sp?). All of those children do have counselors and I think that's great

Does anyone know what brand the light green 2mg Alprozolam are? They are scored but only 3 times. They are international, but no one seems to know the brand. They have a minty taste to them.

Sounds like you got yourself some Clonazepam there...

Certainly not a "minty" alpraz that I have encountered, while Clon is certainly minty and many are a light green or blue.

I just recieved my 2nd order from offshore and they send me those but I read somewhere that the purple 1mgs marked upjohn 90 are better. How come I cant just find some 2mg yellow sticks and be happy. I stick a day and my anxiety was gone now I cant find anything that will measure up to them.

never had name brand xanax but the mexican imported upjohn footballs work wonders for me.

NO, the Green Bars are DEF Alprazolam. I received them from a ROP. The are 2mg, but only scored twice for some reason. They also have the encryption S 90 3

Def Xanax though, I have been taking it for quite some time, I would know the difference plus like I said the came from and ROP.

I didn't think the purple footballs measured up to the blues here in the states.

The blues differently seem to be stronger were in live in the U.S. that's just my opinion.

Blues make me happy and generally denote domestic product

I'm just saying that if my PCP gives me a scipt for 30 1mg and I get it filled at CVS for example then they are most always blue colored
The only purple ones have come from an IOP or different IOP's and some were even Roche brand maybe made in Pakistan

They are about equal in strenght so just don't put to much stock in what color they are
I just prefer blister packs labeled and not a plastic baggie unmarked with 5 or 6 broken and crushed if you know what I mean

My S/O has a script for xanax the.5 orange#100.
They are always generic (Greenstone & Purepac)
and are great quality from Rite Aid & Walgreen's.
Have never seen a domestic 1mg yet.
Only IOP ones.

i've had both blues and purples that were good but if u like your bars you like your bars----btw i know good from bad as ive been taking benzos for about 20 years--and you know about the taste you can tell if there good by the taste even b4 you feel them---but i hate false advertising if you ordered bars and u got pills i'd be pissed too
