I just found out that Avee has changed their refill policy to 30 days, after your initial refill. (One fill left). They changed their policy Monday. RXSO was supposed to Notify their customers. They didn't Notify me.

I will be out of meds on Monday. (they were due this Saturday). I can't even order them till the following Thursday, which means if I'm lucky I'll get them over a week late. No meds, none. The pain.

If I had known, I could have cut back all this month and only used when I had to.

I have been with RXSO forever, and if they don't make this right for us, today, I'm done.

And here I thought they cared! B.S.

!st you are sheet out of luck, as am I.
2nd look on their website, (RXSO) It's right there
Avee says only RXSO can help us
RXSO is (overwhelmed with phone calls and can't be bothered to answer our calls! Especialy thoes of us who have been with them, supported and even recommended them for over a year.

I feel as screwed as I did with YOD.

This is on RXSOs website

New Refill Policy at AVEE

First refill following original fill resulting from consultation will be 25 days. Second refill (or last script from consult) will be 30 days. Re-consults can take place 27 days after last script was received. Once the new script is issued, the same refill schedule will apply.

Original fill sent after consult

First REFILL available on day 25

Second, or last refill, available 30 days out

Re-consult available on day 27 after last refill shipped.

I am completely out of medication as well and there isn't a thing I can do. If I would have known I would have adjusted for this. I appreciate Avee's caution in wanting to comply and appease the DEA to stay in business -- but a little notice would have been appreciated to say the least. This shouldn't have taken affect as quickly as it did, this is a disaster. I was never contacted either -- I just found out when I went to refill!

I wish they would do something as well -- like use another pharmacy for the time being until they Notify all their patients at least. Now I have to pay for Saturday delivery and am completely out of medications. This is very upsetting...

Making mine, if all things go well, ha ha, only 8 days later than I had expected. That's over `1/4 of a month for the same consult price.

Talk about getting screwed! If ya gotta lower the count you send out, lower the count, but don't change the date of dispencing, before you notifty the consumer.

Kelly you told us consults were really the only way OPS;s made money. Well ya know what, this "new: Avee poilicy sure makes it look like you are hand in hand with the RX. Why should the date change AT ALL EVER in relation to your consult date?

No other RX had to change their policy. You are BAD!

I don;t see where this has anything to do with the dea. They could give a flying pregnant turtle what day after a initial consult, as opposed to a refill, or a reconsult day the pills are dispensed. This is a greedy move, INHO, to make more money per consult. Your'e getting less meds per consult. Significantly.

Pur: They are doing this to comply with the DEAs request. The DEA claims that we get 90 days worth of medication in 75 days (being able to refill every 25 days). But I believe that is the law everywhere. Every local pharmacy allows you to pick up your medications on day 25, so I don't understand that at all. But RXSO and Avee are trying to comply with the DEA's request. But notification would have been professional. Now many of us are completely out of medications and in pain. But you are correct... in the end we get less medications in 90 days than before. It sucks.

ERMeds has similar prices I believe.. I am not sure if they comply with this or not. I will be looking into it as I am sure a lot of us will be.

purr, That is just not right. People are going to need a notice or run out. And for folks that really need their Meds, this is a bit hard. WTF??

For members that use them and log in to get their refill, they will see this and realize they are not so great. Maybe cheap, but I would rather pay a bit more and not be worrying. Or Hurting and Sick!
That just plain Sucks!!

How many times do they get to change things or charge extra before people come and say how NOT so great they are they are??

Has this been posted about on the RXSO thread?? If not, I'd put it up there and see what Kelly has to say and get a justification for it and see what RXSO has to say about people running out of their meds. JMO....

I must agree on this, they should have
definately notified us of this or at
least have enough customer service reps available
to answer the phones for our inquiries in regards to
this matter. I can see where they are
coming from but notification of such
a major change in procedures was definatley
warranted here.

This was a really bad change and should have been better thought out. Avee is the only pharmacy complying to these Rules -- that should tell you something. The DEA is always going to try and limit pain medications, but you can't over worry your business away either.

I wouldn't be surprised if people in pain like Purr don't end up taking their bottle to a local pharmacy and try refilling it without Avee. You can't not Notify people and then leave them in pain!

This is like the credit card experiment RXSO tried last time. I hope RXSO does something to reverse this and doesn't keep this as policy.

Hey abbey, Not sure if anyone went and posted there. I will look. But I bet that one of the RXSO members will. Heck if used them, I would be over there screaming. They could have given notice.

They should have given notice. 5 days is a huge difference (especially if a weekend is involved, which makes it 7 days) and that's too much time for someone in pain (or with anxiety issues).

I heard from someone (mind you this is word of mouth so take it for what its worth) that Avee was audited and didn't do so well, hence the reason that they have been cracking down lately on alot of things.

Avee is the only pharmacy complying. It is about time that RXSO leaves Avee and uses others like CRJ (which has the same prices and fills every 25 days).

I'm so sorry this is happening to you guys and it really is unfair. In my opinion, it is always a mistake to think ANY op cares. They care about money and they care about not getting in trouble so they can keep making money and that's it! Because I really believe this I always have an emergency stash of meds. I went for a month using one less each day and I don't touch that no matter what (unless something like this happens). I wish with all my heart you all had this to fall back on. If Friendly.com has anything that could be of help you could have it in your hands the next day. I trust them as an nrop but wouldn't give them my main email addy as they send refill reminders daily. Good luck.

I am so upset. I called Avee and they told me that RXSO was supposed to contact us. My medication was due to be here today (Wednesday) and because of the weekend, I can not pick it up until next Monday. So I am out of medication for SIX DAYS!!!!! My god... this is a disaster. So not only am I going to be in extreme pain now because of my condition but I'll probably go with withdrawl because of my tolerance. I am not going to be able to funcation at all... I can't imagine what life would be like without chronic pain. :'( !
