People who consulted with another site and then sign up with you-let's call it what it is-double dipping.

Since there is no master database, the only way they would get "caught" doing that is 1 (or more) of these 3 things would have to happen:

1) you are affiliated with other sites (same overall company but different web sites to attract more customer's)

2) The Dr you use serves more than 1 OCS (very common)-when the name pop's up on his computer he/she know's it because he already gave them a consult for the other OCS

3) The pharmacy see's their name pop up and has already filled for them for another OCS and/or Dr

Now I don't blame people for doing this. You never know when the rug is going to be pulled out from underneath you, or if you are bout out of meds and you need some ASAP cause your other place just shut down... But it appears 1st Class Care is doing what they promise-so do as they recommend and give them a chance to prove it to you instead of going to multiple places first.

Now if your Dr did a conult for someone and that pharmacy shut down and you still have refills-I would assume that wouldn't be held against you since you can't get those refills? I am asking this more out of general curiosity than anything else-since most Dr's work for more than 1 OCS.

Don't mention it. I do not post very often because for the most part I do not feel as though I have a lot to add. But it does seem as though it is starting to become open season on all Reps. In some cases it is probably deserved, but I fear they are all starting to be painted with the same brush. I feel most honest Reps. would simply like to be judged by patients as an individual, on their own merits, and in respect to their individual situations. This is a concept, I would think, that most CP patients could relate to as none of us like to be stereotyped either.
So this might be looked at as a call to all of us to judge each Rep. by their individual performance; nothing that we ourselves would not demand.
I firmly believed every word of what I said about you judging you from the pleasant way you treated me when I inquired about your service.

And one more thing. This is in no way a slam against dixiechick. In fact, she is one of the people who has personally gone out of her way to try to help me. I thank her for that as well.

Again, these are all just my opinions and in no way meant to correct anyone.

We are not affiliated with any other site, Our P.A. does consult for other sites. These four that I am talking about had a consult with other sites the same day.

If the pharmacy has closed and the prescription will not go out and it has been 25 days since your last fill, yes we can consult you.

All I ask is explain your situation to us. I have been doing this for a long time, beleive me I understand alot of situations.

I can always explain these situations to our Physician and he will understand as well.

The first set of tracking numbers have came over and we are emailing them to you.

I have a Doctors appointment now, so I will go. After the Doctors appointment I will come back to the office and check on the second set of numbers.

We have reps hear until 5:00 so you can reach someone if you have any problems.

All consults have been consulted except for one, the number is not working.

On Monday, I will be in the office until 2:00 I will come in Sunday night and get all reps ready for Monday, if you are in need of a consult we still have slots opened.

We are using another pharmacy as well, I am not sure on how I rate them at this time. I will know tonight once I receive our tracking numbers. I just feel safer with (2) rather than one.

I am spoiled rotton with the one. I have never used a pharmacy that is so organized and ships so well and there is always support when you have a question.

Ok I am back and I am so excited. We received the other set of tracking numbers and all orders have been shipped and all tracking numbers have been sent by UPS and us.

Good Morning!!! I was not in the office long yesterday, I had school fuctions with my son and it was a wonderful day.

All orders were shipped yesterday except for the one our office made a mistake on.

Just want to update on a few things.

1. Tracking Numbers - UPS emails all tracking numbers to you after 5pm and we email them to you as well. If you do not receive your tracking information, please check your spam controls.

2. COD Totals - These totals are emailed to you before 5pm if you are going out that day. If you have not received an email before 4pm call or email us. This total should show in your UPS tracking information as well (collect on delivery amount)the amount is listed there.

3. Reconsults - One of our P.A.'s will be on vacation next week. We are trying to reconsult you this week, if you are due next week. We will have a fill in but, I am not sure how his procedures work and if he will work the long hours that our other P.A. does. You never know until you test the waters. So if you have not been reached, please call us or email us.

Good Evening, Just wanted to update you in case we did not get a hold of you by telephone.

We had a few orders that did not go out today. All I am going to say is that we had some problems and the orders went to the pharmacy a little late. Since I read the topic the other day about the "job of being a rep" and all the excuses, thats all I can think about "it was cute" but these problems do occur and I do apologize for the orders that did not ship. There were only a few and these orders will ship on Tuesday.

We will run a special next month as soon as I find a way to make it fair to the customers that are already customers and not to just potential customers I will annouce it.

Ok here goes the famous excuse....

One of our pharmacies ran out of 10/500 today and there were a total of three packages that did not ship.We have faxed you tracking numbers for the ones that did ship.

The three orders that did not ship will go out on Wednesday.

The other pharmacy has not sent the tracking numbers over yet. It could be in the morning.

If you did not go out because of shortages on the 10/500 we are trying to contact you.

Please dont panic we are not having that many delays and if it is more than one day I will send you to the other pharmacy.

This week has already been the week from well you understand.

I will be sure to keep all of you informed on day to day challenges and changes.

I just want to say that I appreciate all of you that have been so kind with any of the problems that we may have experienced this week or in the past. All of us reps hate to make those calls when there are problems and things dont go as planned. We are so thankful that we can honestly say that we have such a nice customer base and that you are all appreciated here.

I wasnt going to write this but, I am going to go ahead and if I offend anyone please understand, that this is from someone on the other side that shares pain as well.

I have been doing this for about four years now and I would always read drugbuyers but never wrote a word. I kept my opinions to myself and did my job in the office. I have worked for other OCS's and I left because of the way some of my customers were treated.

I have even kept quite to my employers of the pain that I suffer from each day. It breaks my heart to hear someone say you have no idea what I am going through, believe me I feel it to, I think god each and every day that I can still come to work and do my job and that I have a wonderful family that stands beside me and helps me through the tough times.

I have wanted to walk away on so many occasions from this job. I have been through pharmacy closings and I have been through losing Doctors and it is stressful. I dont walk away at night thinking my day is over until that last tracking number comes in. Leaving this office with orders that the pharmacy didnt fill or the Doctor didnt call or a tracking number that I havent received carries on my mind until the next morning.On my drive to the office I think about what if this and what if that happens and I can not take care of my customers. We dont always know when a pharmacy is going to drop you like a hot potatoe or the Doctor decides that he doesnt want to do this anymore.

Pharmacies and Doctors are few far in between beleive me there not standing on the corner with a sign that says hire me. This industry has became less and less.

Records, do you think that I enjoy contacting the patient and telling them that the records do not contain enough information or their out of date or we dont prescribe for that condition or their not clear or the records have no information on the condition that you are consulting for and then I hear well other sites took my records or ill just go somewhere else.

The only time I make people mad is over records. I am sorry but, this is a big part of what we do and the records are a very important part.

Just now the Doctor consulted a patient that just was consulted today by another site. We go through this all day long and I am sorry but if you were just consulted in the same day there is no excuse and I am working late to get these customers consulted.

We are all not perfect and this industry is getting harder. I can see both sides, my veiws are that anything that you abuse can harm or kill and there are many things in this world that can do that, but I beleive that a Doctor should be able to prescribe what medication he fells is appropriate for his patient and that you shouldnt be on your death bed before you can get enough pain medication to kill five people.

I have never understood this. I use to watch my father go behind the house and bend over crying because he was in so much pain and he was one of the toughest man I have ever knew, the Doctor wouldnt prescribe pain meds but when he was in the hospital dying they gave him enough morphine for five people.

Then their is the other veiw if there was some way that we could regulate the industry. Believe it or not we have a lot of people that abuse this system, The best one yet is I had seven people at one time send in their records and all seven records were the same, just the name was changed.This only hurts the ones that dont abuse the system and for the sites that consults on fly by night records, this hurts us to and in the end the ones that abuse will continue to get pain meds and the real chronic pain sufferes that are only trying to make it through another day pain free will be with out. I have said enough.

It broke my heart to read your comments today, I cannot imagine what you are going thru trying to assist your clients, and in case no one else tells you this today, you are a special person and I'm sure there are MANY people that appreciate everything you do to assist them with thier care!

We have slots opened to those that are looking for consults.

We offer $75.00 consults if you are a DBVIP and our med prices are very low compared to some that I have seen.

We pride ourselves in customer service and we offer a free consult when your records become out-of date to help with the cost of your office visit to up-date your records.

We have no delays at the pharmacy.

We had some problems getting the tracking information to some of you. One of the pharmacies did not send all the tracking numbers to us last night, you should have still received your tracking information from UPS by email.

We have all the tracking information now. All packages did ship and thats the most important thing. I am sorry but from time to time the tracking numbers can be a night mare. We have had problems with the driver that scans in all the tracking information.

Kaye, I am a new customer of 1st Class Care. Though I have been a member of DB for quite some time, I'm the observer type, and mostly read the posts to stay updated rather than participate in discussions. (To my detriment I have learned since I cannot PM yet!) I am simply compelled to respond to you though, and express how truly wonderful you are. I am sure I speak for many of us when I say how very much I appreciate your sharing your experience with us, and keeping us all apprised of order and shipping updates, not to mention when you are and are not available to assist us personally. Yours is a truly unique service that can never be accurately quantified. I've been burned three times now in the past year, lost hundreds of dollars in unfilled refills, and left hanging by rude or unresponsive reps. The worst, of course, is being left without any meds, even though all the warnings say above all else--do not to stop taking them cold turkey as your life will suddenly unravel before your very eyes! Ok, I took editorial license there, but... Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you. When it all seems absurd and you begin to wonder why bother, remember that there are many of us out here who think you are truly a beautiful person, and we appreciate you very much!
