People who consulted with another site and then sign up with you-let's call it what it is-double dipping.
Since there is no master database, the only way they would get "caught" doing that is 1 (or more) of these 3 things would have to happen:
1) you are affiliated with other sites (same overall company but different web sites to attract more customer's)
2) The Dr you use serves more than 1 OCS (very common)-when the name pop's up on his computer he/she know's it because he already gave them a consult for the other OCS
3) The pharmacy see's their name pop up and has already filled for them for another OCS and/or Dr
Now I don't blame people for doing this. You never know when the rug is going to be pulled out from underneath you, or if you are bout out of meds and you need some ASAP cause your other place just shut down... But it appears 1st Class Care is doing what they promise-so do as they recommend and give them a chance to prove it to you instead of going to multiple places first.
Now if your Dr did a conult for someone and that pharmacy shut down and you still have refills-I would assume that wouldn't be held against you since you can't get those refills? I am asking this more out of general curiosity than anything else-since most Dr's work for more than 1 OCS.

Good Evening!!! I can not wait until this week is over. We have not had a great week on getting you consulted. I never new how much I loved my P.A. until this week.... If you are one of those that have been on the wait list, I send my apologies to you and I promise we will make it up to you. All orders have been shipped for the day. Have a nice night!!!! I wasnt going to write this but, I am going to go ahead and if I offend anyone please understand, that this is from someone on the other side that shares pain as well. I have been doing this for about four years now and I would always read drugbuyers but never wrote a word. I kept my opinions to myself and did my job in the office. I have worked for other OCS's and I left because of the way some of my customers were treated. I have even kept quite to my employers of the pain that I suffer from each day. It breaks my heart to hear someone say you have no idea what I am going through, believe me I feel it to, I think god each and every day that I can still come to work and do my job and that I have a wonderful family that stands beside me and helps me through the tough times. I have wanted to walk away on so many occasions from this job. I have been through pharmacy closings and I have been through losing Doctors and it is stressful. I dont walk away at night thinking my day is over until that last tracking number comes in. Leaving this office with orders that the pharmacy didnt fill or the Doctor didnt call or a tracking number that I havent received carries on my mind until the next morning.On my drive to the office I think about what if this and what if that happens and I can not take care of my customers. We dont always know when a pharmacy is going to drop you like a hot potatoe or the Doctor decides that he doesnt want to do this anymore. Pharmacies and Doctors are few far in between beleive me there not standing on the corner with a sign that says hire me. This industry has became less and less. Records, do you think that I enjoy contacting the patient and telling them that the records do not contain enough information or their out of date or we dont prescribe for that condition or their not clear or the records have no information on the condition that you are consulting for and then I hear well other sites took my records or ill just go somewhere else. The only time I make people mad is over records. I am sorry but, this is a big part of what we do and the records are a very important part. Just now the Doctor consulted a patient that just was consulted today by another site. We go through this all day long and I am sorry but if you were just consulted in the same day there is no excuse and I am working late to get these customers consulted. We are all not perfect and this industry is getting harder. I can see both sides, my veiws are that anything that you abuse can harm or kill and there are many things in this world that can do that, but I beleive that a Doctor should be able to prescribe what medication he fells is appropriate for his patient and that you shouldnt be on your death bed before you can get enough pain medication to kill five people. I have never understood this. I use to watch my father go behind the house and bend over crying because he was in so much pain and he was one of the toughest man I have ever knew, the Doctor wouldnt prescribe pain meds but when he was in the hospital dying they gave him enough morphine for five people. Then their is the other veiw if there was some way that we could regulate the industry. Believe it or not we have a lot of people that abuse this system, The best one yet is I had seven people at one time send in their records and all seven records were the same, just the name was changed.This only hurts the ones that dont abuse the system and for the sites that consults on fly by night records, this hurts us to and in the end the ones that abuse will continue to get pain meds and the real chronic pain sufferes that are only trying to make it through another day pain free will be with out. Kaye, I am a new customer of 1st Class Care. Though I have been a member of DB for quite some time, I'm the observer type, and mostly read the posts to stay updated rather than participate in discussions. (To my detriment I have learned since I cannot PM yet!) I am simply compelled to respond to you though, and express how truly wonderful you are. I am sure I speak for many of us when I say how very much I appreciate your sharing your experience with us, and keeping us all apprised of order and shipping updates, not to mention when you are and are not available to assist us personally. Yours is a truly unique service that can never be accurately quantified. I've been burned three times now in the past year, lost hundreds of dollars in unfilled refills, and left hanging by rude or unresponsive reps. The worst, of course, is being left without any meds, even though all the warnings say above all else--do not to stop taking them cold turkey as your life will suddenly unravel before your very eyes! Ok, I took editorial license there, but... Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you. When it all seems absurd and you begin to wonder why bother, remember that there are many of us out here who think you are truly a beautiful person, and we appreciate you very much!
