I have taken them all. I just started Klonopin and I find that it last much longer than Xanax and it seems that tolerence will not be as big of an issue. If you are having a full blown panic attack Xanax is hard to beat but it is also a MF to get off of. My 2 cents. Also Valium is almost useless for panic disorder.

IMO i think that the klonopin lasts much longer than the xanax and i think that it is also not a factor with the addiction like the xanax is since the klonopin stays in you longer. if you need a med to work fater then xanax would. sorry this post not make much sense but i am only going on about 45min sleep today. (was up with a sick child all night long)

I've been taking Klonopin for 5 years now and my doctor told me that it has a longer 'half-life' than most benzo's.
Meaning it stays in your system for a longer period of time.
Most doctors also choose it over most other benzo's, because after a prolonged time of taking it it stops having much affect. I find now that I only need to take it maybe, once or twice a week. I also, know it's not as addictive as say Xanax or Valium. My doctor wouldn't prescribe it to me if he thought it would become a very addictive drug!
